Since Sufism is nothing but an inner dedication to God, it is not an actual declaration, instead, it is a philosophy. Avicenna's theory of epistemology clearly has many hints same for his theological writings. Ibn Tufail is very much like Avicenna, and if you read the book I mentioned you will see it yourself.
