get flatwounds cos your fingerboard will be grooved to hell causing horrible buzzing. I had to have my Wal custom shimmed 3 times until there wasn't enough ebony for it to remain fretless throughout the 'slappy' 80's!
D'adarrio Chromes are not the cheapest (in the UK anyway)but have a brighter tone than most flats, and last a lot longer than rounds.
I have a left-handed version of this bass. not gigged it yet but sounds and feels great.
HI IVE JUST ORDERED THE SAME BASS AFTER LISTENING TO YOUR VIDEO.I HAVE A QUESTION DOES THE FRET BOARD HAVE FRET MARKERS ON THE TOP EDGE i mean like not on the actual fret board but on the top if you know what i mean.

Hi, yes thats the cheap RockBass, version of the streamer.
the sound is great, i've used/owned many basses and i have to say this os one of the better fretlesses out there, the feel is spot on, the neck is nice and the finish is flawless. the electronics are top notch. very good from MEC.
The only difference is a slight tonal difference as the wood is cheaper and obviously the look is not as expensive. oh and the badge...
How many frets does it reach? just wondering

Line 6 POD farm all the way...
So I'm using a vintage tube frip top, 15' Speaker cab 60's.
Boost in the bass, boost the mid, and cut the treble and away you go! :)
