I just finished the book (after reading it in two days every chance I got!) I was so drawn to this book, mostly because I'm so much like kendra in so many ways (some more than others) and yea I just love this book, ill probably read it over and over again! Thank you Cheryl Rainfield for writing this incredable book!!

@LanceHertford I'm sorry, Lance--that sounds very frustrating. But if you can't remember, you may not be ready to face it. Do you have a therapist you can talk to? They can help so much in helping give you safety and helping you be able to face what happened as you're ready to.... Art (like Kendra) and writing can help, too. Just give it time. There's no rush to get there.

My mom gave me this book about 6 mths ago and I just tossed it aside b/c I thought if I showed interest in it she'd question me (I used to self-harm and she still doesn't know.) but one day I picked it up and read it, and LOVED IT. Great storyline, heartbreaking; just a great read.

And I understand not wanting your mom to know....but maybe one day you'll talk to her, and maybe she'll be supportive (especially since she gave you Scars). And I'm so glad to hear that you don't self-harm any more; good for you! That takes strength and courage.

This movie was amazing! It took me about 24 hours to read the whole thing with doing several things throughout the day. I couldn't put it down. I haven't completely finished a book in over 2 years. This book made me break that 2 year streak! AMAZING! They should make this book na movie.
