It's great to see an artist who is confident enough in her performance that she allows the sound to be so earthy and spontaneous.- probaly why Erykah's music is so refreshingly 'real'. However, I would suggest it takes a fair bit of skill in the studio to get that understated naturalness - there's a fine line between captured spontaneity and 'amateurish'.
