Not exactly, they're racing with Jet Barrels in this game, in Donkey Kong Racing it's racing on the helpful animals (which are simply power-ups in this game I think) and it's missing Kiddy Kong & Taj.
No he's still the general. He's wearing green camo pants. I guess his helmet didn't fit hit head no more... that and the voice sounds much deeper but from the same guy who did his cartoon voice. Then again many years have past.
God Klump looks odd on this game....

Candy Kong is in here but she's not a racer and I don't think Chunky Kong was in the trailer for Donkey Kong Racing.
