Williambellor: In order for the Republicans to take control of Congress they would need to pick up 40 seats in the House and a net of 11seats in the Senate. This will give the GOP the majority in the Senate.Elections are coming up in 2010!

psh, the dems wrecked the economy, idc what you say, the fannie and freddie defenders is what they were, and clinton's, "anyone can get a loan" policy....
but Bush didnt do anything to stop it, so he isnt clean in this, but in 03 his white house sent out alerts that fannie and freddie should've been investigated
The only people that can possibly think GWB was a good president at this point are Gas Guzzlin truckers. The name fits. He will leave office with the country $10 trillion in debt, fighting two wars, our international reputation in shambles, our government
cloaked in secrecy, an economic crisis, Katrina, a suspicion that his entire presidency has been a litany of broken laws and promises, our citizens' faith in our own
country ripped to shreds. What a great legacy.Youre right,Im convinced,im sold
Good point TF985. To this I would add the the 10 trillion dollars were needed to fight the war that the Clinton administration ignored for 8 years. As for our international reputation, I couldn't care less about that. If Europe has a problem with us, they can ask us to discontinue propping up their economy with international trade and defending them with our military. As for the secrecy issue, that is a necessary evil when you are fighting wars, but I'm sure you will accept it from Obama!
As for Katrina, it is not the federal governments responsibility to respond to local natural disasters; the Constitution specifically prohibits this type of interference. Besides, can you imagine how the Democrats would have howled if Bush charged into NO with the military, pushing Nagin and Blanco out of the way in the process? I can and it wouldn't have been pretty!
You're just blaming Bush for everything. Just because he's president doesn't mean Congress is not at fault either.
Take note of this: The Democrats kept the gas prices high and allowed this economic disaster to happen so they can play the blame game again. Congress makes the laws and decides wether to do something or not do it depending on the vote. The president's job is to carry out those laws or oppose them and do what's best for the country
i agree 100%. its a shame that people like NERDalerthere are fed the Obama koolaid through a bottle. its a shame that people like them are so gullible and hang onto every word the media says. its also a shame they wont do their research or look at the facts. So, NERDalerthere, is it fun being naive and ignorant? have we been attacked since 9/11? NO! and what numbers are there and what facts are there that would even suggest we are losing in iraq?
you're right retardation is not something to make fun of. I hope we find a cure for GWB. I'd like to announce here that I will be starting a fund to hire a team of behavior, speech and occupational therapists working around the clock in Texas once he leaves office to examine the severity of his retardation and investigate cures. I hope the people on this board can be some of the first to donate as this is a serious affliction that affects way to many and now it's spreading to our presidents!
so by that rational, 65 million fellow Americans are fucking morons. Nice logic. The only thing stupider than that response is a blindingly stupid republican idealogue such as yourself who can't see two feet in front of them let alone the disastrous course this country has been on.

My fear is that Republicans have not been out in the wilderness long enough to remember why they were elected in the first place.

In response to my comment.....Obama has done a terrible job protecting our country and done a terrible with the economy.
It's going to take not just another Bush but another Ronald Reagan to bring this country back onto its feet.

President Bush's team was focused and stayed on message in the 2004 election. I give the President credit, he ran an effective campaign.

Anyone who thinks he was a good president and is smart is a retard.

retardation is not something to make fun of
Bush had a great 1st term
questionable 2nd term yes, but the president doesnt have much to do with the economy and Iraq is stablizing
now during his presidency, we have had the worst congress ever, there to blame for our problems
