We do not know for certain. All we do know is that he is not publicising Autism Speaks or openly courting them, which is a big improvement over the alternative Democrat Party nomination of the time.
Well, he at least doesn't discriminate *as much* as Hillary does. And so far there's no reason to distrust him on that regard or think he does actively discriminate.
Sorry man, but this is sort of lame. Next time don't have music with some guy going off lyrically and expect people to focus on what you are saying. Just constructive criticism, besides, it's more about commenting on editing really....
And to you aspie, I would never knock anyone with any genuine disorder, I am bipolar. I did notice that I couldn't get sound this time. Besides, who cares. You got what you wanted: a black version of the old boss i.e. walking in the SAME FOOTSTEPS. But what do I know? Don't listen to one word I say, really....
How do you even know what I want or wanted? Are you psychic somehow? Are you so powerfully telepathic it defies all comprehension? And really, I prefer a black version of the old boss to a female version of the old boss (and that is what Hillary really is) who ***openly declares her allegiance to holocaust revivalists***.
I wish that Autism Speaks never existed. And if Hillary Clinton becomes president, I will definitely shit ten golden bricks. And if she does win the election, then I must wash, rinse, and sanitize at least one brick and mail it to ya second day air. I am so afraid of the could be future. I just look at my 3yr old autistic son who I love so very much and think of all those sweet little unborn angels that will most likely be aborted.
The sad thing is that even if every one of us sent Hillary Clinton a letter stating why we want to see Autism Speaks declared a terrorist organisation, she would not listen because of all the dollars being waved at her. If the Founding Fathers could see what the world is turning into with this kind of Tyranny Of The Majority and conformity at the point of a (surgical) knife being considered acceptable, they would probably declare their little experiment in government a failure.
I agree with you whole heartedly. The Founding Fathers have no doubt rolled a few times over in their graves already. I live in the good ol U-S-ofA. I'm sure that you have heard the old saying "Ignorance is Bliss", It's pretty ramped here. And since the Government owns the media, they could tell us the sky is falling and there would be people stepping outside their house and looking up.
I honestly believe that most Americans don't want to know the truth. They just want to eat cheese burgers, play the powerbowl lotto, shop at Wal-Mart, and someone to tell them that everything is alright so they can feel better about their little freedom of pro-choice. It's all going to hell in a hand basket.
How can Senator Clinton argue that the "little differences" in the Pennsylvania primaries matter and then say the "little differences" in the TOTAL popular vote and TOTAL three groups of delegates don't?
I have a question for whoever can answer truthfully. Purplemutantas has stated that "sadly many people are ok with keeping people like me from existing." So my question is, is the organization Autism Speaks researching ways to find out if a child is autistic or not before they are born in order to decide on abortion or not?
Also, boo Hillary!! Rudy would have had my vote but sadly he's no longer in:(
I understand how you could be offended, I would be too.
But I'm not sure I would put autistic people and african-americans in the same category.
Not to be offensive, but finding out if my baby was autistic or not would, I think, help. I could better prepare myself for the child, but of course it's not like it's some terrible disorder that no one would want anyone else to have or anything like that.
Well...I guess that's all I have to say. Thanks for all the info!
The United Nations' criteria for social minority status applies equally to black Americans and the autistic. Just felt the need to point that out.
Experience has already shown that when pre-natal tests exist, a whopping percentage of fetuses that test positive to the "undesirable" trait in question are aborted regardless of any questions regarding the accuracy of the test. Such has been the case with Down's Syndrome already. How many times does history have to repeat?
I know that there is work being done on a prenatal test for autism. I wouldn't be surprised if autism speaks has funded that. As aspie182 pointed out, prenatal tests will invariably lead to eugenic abortion. If they started doing prenatal tests for skin color, people would be up in arms over it.
I am unfamiliar with this organization. I've heard a few commercials about it on the radio...but not anything good or bad. My cousin is believed to be autistic, though I don't think it's been confirmed yet. (I am making two posts, read up for second part)
There is a slogan repeated by autistic adults the world over: Autism Speaks Does Not Speak For Me.
This is a group that uses slanted and distorted images of us to solicit funds to the tune of tens of millions of dollars, but never spends a red cent consulting us about what we want done with that cash. Incentives for employers to hire us, supported housing in areas where we can access specialised assistance... not a penny. Cures we DO NOT WANT? Watch them fall over themselves with your money.
I think that you are looking at this all wrong. Autism speaks is geared toward children with Autism and most children, Not all, but most with autism tend to have difficulty with social skills and communicating with others.
No, I am not looking at this wrongly in any conceivable way. Autism Speaks uses images of the autistic that are misleading at best and dehumanising at worst to solicit funds to finance efforts to take away the very thing that differentiates us from those who have in many cases abused us. Then they refuse to even talk to us about how the funds they have exploited us in order to solicit should be spent. They are to the autistic what the Ku Klux Klan are to African Americans.
I Think you are taking things a bit too far, every charitable/agency uses pictures of the people they serve, there is a "face" for every agency out there. Look at the good that Autism Speaks does for people with Autism. I think you are over reacting. They have raised a ton of money over the last two years and I think they do some pretty nice things. Would you rather not have them assisting those with Autism and the millions of dollars they do put towards the cause be taken away from those in need
Ask anyone else who is an autistic adult and they will all tell you the same thing. Autism Speaks uses us in a dehumanising, exploitative way. They do not do one ounce of good for us at all. Christschool has already posted an excellent video in which he lists the things Autism Speaks did with the cash fools like you have donated and which much more helpful use that money could have gone towards. The autistic are speaking, and they are saying they want Autism Speaks to shut the fukk up!
I have looked at Autism speaks tax return. None of the money goes directly to helping autistic people. Most of it goes to research, which is for the goal of making sure people like me and aspie182 will no longer exist. So keep in mind that when you donate to autism speaks you are funding eugenics. They are a hate group advocating the elimination of a whole group of people. In much the same way as Nazi organizations are hate groups advocating the elimination of Jews.
"Look at the good that Autism Speaks does for people with Autism." What good? They haven't helped me at all. Hey have harmed me emotionally. The KKK analogy is spot on. Now, whenever I see autism ribbons or blue puzzle pieces, I react the way a Jaw would react to a swastika. I can't read their website without recoiling in horror or crying. "I think they do some pretty nice things." Sure if wanting to make sure people like me no longer exist counts.
Oh, and before I forget, autistic children become autistic adults in time. Unless one of the doctors whom Autism Speaks trusts to "cure" us succeeds in murdering them first.
Difficulties with social skills goes along with autism. Autism speaks isn't really geared toward children. It's geared toward eugenics. Their goal is to prevent people like me and aspie182 from ever being born. They aren't out there to help autistic kids or anyone else with autism. They don't help parents pay for services their kids need. They simply use kids as tools of propaganda. In much the same way as the MDA uses kids with muscular dystrophy to illicit pity and donations.
This is why I am mourning the loss of christschool from YouTube. His listing of what Autism Speaks did with the twenty-one million dollars they conned out of gullible folk and what the autistic really need done with that twenty-one million dollars creates quite a contrast.
I have been looking at autism speaks 2006 tax return. Once they get done with their 2007 tax return I will look at that too. I should make a video specifically about their tax return so people know where they spend their money.
Did you call her office to arrange a meeting? If she is mistaken then tell her staff. After listening to you and they do nothing then you can bash her. Make sure you also bring proof so they can act on it.
I've been to a meeting with my state senator's top aide; he says yes we need to do something; we'll see what we can do; we'll get back to you; then nothing.
Our members in NY met with Clinton's staff and were able to get legislation in our favor.
I fail to see the correlation between the Combatting Autism Act and legislation in our favour. Legislation in our favour would be the subsidy of housing in locations where psychological specialists who meet with our approval are known to exist, not facilitation of ignorant parents believing they would rather have a dead child than an autistic child.
I agree. The combating autism act is simply money to fund the eugenic elimination of people with autism. Autism doesn't need combating. Eugenics and ignorance is what needs combating.
Exactly why the autistic can do without Hillary in the Whitehouse. If people are less ignorant, say for example if education programs about autism run by folks such as Tony Attwood or Simon Baron-Cohen were in every school for example, Autism Speaks would have not so much as a stump to stand on. But with an ignoramus like Hillary Clinton running the show, this very necessary step will not be taken.
I feel the books currently in print do us more of a disservice than any good. All my parents did after I was diagnosed was sit and read books, read more books, and then read some more books, all while offering three fifths of no help to do anything. Eventually I got pissed off and told them I am not in a book, and as far as I am concerned they are strangers to me.
I would burn every book on autism twice over if it would help people like my parents to actually listen and learn.
You need to do a little more research into the implications of what she has to say then. Thanking Autism Speaks for "their work with autism spectrum disorders" is literally akin to thanking the NSDAP for their work with displaced Jews. If you are unable to understand that, then this is an issue you ought to keep out of and let those who do understand it thrash it out.
Absolutely! Great analogy! This stuff isn't far fetched at all. Just look at the mission statement on their website. "We are dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism". Replace the word autism with, black, jew, you get my point. If a non profit wanted to cure and prevent blackness or jewness there would be public outrage. But sadly many people are ok with keeping people like me from existing. Hillary isn't going to get my vote.
I don't want to be cured. If someone offered me a magic pill that could remove all traces of Autism from me, I wouldn't take it. Autism is a fundamental part of who I am. Get rid of the Autism and you get rid of me.
After the preview my parents, schoolteachers, and doctors (just for starters) gave me as a lad, I would not very nicely ask you to shove ten minutes of normie-ism where the sun does not shine. If the normies who have shaped the person that I am are an indication of what the normie world is like, then the normie world sucks in the worst way possible.
That is my answer to "but if you had a choice would you want to be autistic or not?". My experience of the normie world has shown me that it sucks in the worst way possible.
Well, being that I've almost never encountered an autistic person, I wouldn't really know how different their world is from mine. Seems like it all sucks no matter who's shoes it is. Everyone's different and everyone's the same.
The United Nations has drawn up a criteria that a group must meet in order to be considered a social minority. It is very exclusive, and a lot of groups that people think qualify as a minority such as white South Africans do not meet it.
Unless you don't socialize much, I highly doubt you've never met an autistic person. However, what that does demonstrate is that autism isn't always obvious, especially if the individual is trying to conceal it.
Autism Speaks does not speak for me. That's the catchcry of just about every adult who happens to be autistic today. Autism Speaks parades negative imagery of us around in a similar fashion to how the Nazis sold the extermination of the disabled and infirm in film, yet they refuse to talk to any of us about how the substantial funds they solicit should be expended.
So if that is not enough reason to oppose a Presidential candidate who is friendly to them, then pray tell: what is?
That brings me to another reason why Barack Obama is the better choice. He has a much better idea of what it is like to grow up as part of a minority group. Hell, put Jesse Ventura in the White House for a while. At least he has some idea what it is like to fire a shot in anger.
What are Barack Obama's positions in the matter?
