my right thumbstick is broken it wont click or do anything anymore can i use the same thumbsticks on a new controller if i transfer them and use the same case on a new one im getting ?

@6TF2 Sorry for the late reply. What sounds broken is the part on the board that controls the thumbsticks. The thumbsticks themselves are just plastic with a hole on the bottom. You can transfer the thumbsticks to a new controller if you so desire.

The ABXY and Select/Start buttons are not popping out all the way. Did I not put them in correctly or is it the controller shell? The shell I got fo it came from a store on ebay that says they get their shells from the Microsoft factory so yeah shells are supposed to be the same as the white controller shell I replaced.

@Kingcisco18 If your buttons are not popping out all the way, first check to see that the rubber pad they rest on is on the right way. Second, be sure the shell closes snugly all the way around.

@TBoGTGTA No. You only have to take off the triggers if you want a different color. If you plan on keeping them, then you don't have to remove them.

What about the sinc button I don't think I saw it ( my fault ) but does it matter If it's with the same Xbox and the green electronicy thing ?

@MangoMustang Do you mean you're missing the sync button? The sync button isn't dependent on the controller. All it is just a piece of plastic pressing down on the tiny button on the circuit board. However, it will be kinda tough to sync your controller without it if you need to unless you use something really thin to press it.

@lacertile I have an old xbox remote like ur white one and I have a new xbox remote (the twistable d pad one). I don't use my new cuz it's lacking vibration. If I just swap the vibration thingy in the old one with the new one, will it make the new one vibrate like the old one? Or is it something in the circuit board that makes it vibrate more than the other?

@jacobramos12 I'm really not sure about the vibration modules and I don't know if that could be fixed by swapping them. I think they're soldered to the board and I don't know if they can be replaced.

hey my controler is messing up. the triggers will like (say your playing black opps) like right as i start it will start shooting and i cant stop it ever. so i was wondering how to fix that if i can. thanks PLEASE ANSWER

@jordandoestech Do you mean your trigger is sticking?

@lacertile no because it moves like normal but its like the sensor is sticking

@jordandoestech The only thing I can suggest is to take it apart and make sure there's nothing stuck under the trigger or in the spring that could be causing it to activate. If it's otherwise clean, it could just be a faulty circuit at which point the only fix would be getting a different remote.

I actually want to just change the face part because of the design from a broken controller. Is there any way to just change the face part without taking apart the motherboard?

@lwhatley You can swap the face plate without removing the motherboard (I only had to remove the mobo because I was changing both pieces of the shell).

@Forggeter I assume you mean the ones with the rotating D-pad?  I'm not sure on that, but I don't believe any of the guts or the form factor was changed so it should still work.

@blowifyoucan RB and LB are usually all together on one piece. To align them, match the holes on the piece with the pegs in the shell. They should align.
