  • I have followed this through but when I scroll the time bar nothin seems to change. Do I need to 'save' or 'apply' settings..? Thanks!

  • Really helpful tutorial m8... :) Thank you

  • Thnx to you i was able to make the scene i wanted. I applied the noise first, then the on/off to control it frame by frame.

  • great ! thanks

  • @Keno9988 I don't have 3ds max 2011, but I doubt if this system is no longer available in the new version.

  • Great Tutorial, thank you. But how do you set or alter the time. Say I wanted a flashing light coming on for one second and then staying off for another second, or 2 seconds, etc How do you do that?

  • Instead of using the Noise controller. select the On/Off controller. You can then animate your time slider and auto key to set it to on and of.

  • @VisualKnights Thanks VK! Just saw your reply, although it was a year ago!!!. :-)

  • @selwynr Hey I'm not 100% sure but he mentioned something about fade in and fade out, maybe getting the noise meter set on a straight line for a second would do it other than that I dont know

  • This tutorial was awesome. This is kinda like the twitch plugin for after effects. I was wondering could you do a tutorial on how to make a light glow. Like an actual lightbulb. Thanks

  • Glad that it helped you. There already is a tutorial on glow effects. See my other videos and look for "Glow effects"
