I see the comments say that utahs very religious, but it's basically just names of buildings, anyways even though the majority of the population is Mormon that doesn't mean were all Mormon, plus most people dont talk much about it
Despite contrary belief SLC is actually an awesome place to be now wether or not your Mormon. I'm not religious and every day i can still go out and party if I want to or take the 30 minute drive to go shred at one of the ski resorts, SLC is my favorite place in the US
I love Utah. I was born here and I will die here. I am Mormon and I love the Book of Mormon. I know the church is true, I know the scriptures are true and they teach us what we need to know to live on. I say this in the name of Jeues Christ, Amen.
NIV 1984 Revelation 22:18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.
utah is a nice place but they didnt really go deap enough in to the real salt lake city so they just showed ya what they wanted have anyone really looked in the heart of slc ya im talkin about the homeless ya they dont get help at all from the mormons and every day life on the streets its a real do or die situtation
@bfmvlover101 SLC has the same homeless, drug, gang, and other problems that cities of its size have. To fault a video titles 'best of' for not featuring these issues is a little unrealistic. The church (that's LDS church if you're not from SLC) certainly does a lot of community outreach, plenty of it to non-mormons. SLC has also been predominantly non-mormon for quite a while now. Anyway, all that you said and my response is off topic for the video.
@Xo360 lol funny you said this, because they want to do away with alcohol. And i think it's bad enough the alcohol here is watered down anyways, it takes 2 24 packs to get you even drunk. So them doing away with it would not mean anything, they are just doing away with piss water. They should bring the REAL alcohol here! lol.
I love salt lake, born and raised..people say its boring, well i guess if your like most city dwellers and just sit on your ass all day it is but if your an outdoors type person its heaven..just need to get rid of all the beaners here and itll be paradise!!!
DON'T BE FOOLED... Salt Lake City is a very boring strip-mall-style city. Dotted by suburb after suburb after suburb that ALL look exactly the same. I'm not sure how it is even considered a "city" as the downtown core has ZERO activity happening that normally occurs in real cities. Throw in the culture dominated by conservative politics and the major smog issues and there you go... Salt Lake City.
salt lake city SUCKS. it's boring with a bunch of religious nutcases who believe in "joseph smith the rapist", nothing to do there expect ski and snowboard but a bunch of rasict white people, wanna go somewhere diverse and hot? california baby. least we can surf there with the beaches...
.....this place sounds super religious... sounds unfriendly to non- religious people or different religions at that. Also no alcohol over 5%??? no vodka... sad face :( dont think ill be visiting there unless i had some sort of business meeting or something
@cat5hurricane250 ya its weird but actually everything from Oklahoma and around there all the way to utah and Nevada is technically the midwest. seems really big but if you think about it, there arent that many people living in those states so its kind of pointless to distinguish
If you are at the airport, you can get to Little Cottonwood Canyon (Snowbird and Alta mountain resorts) in about a 20 minute drive. And you can be up the canyon to one of the campgrounds in about 15 minutes from the airport. However, if you live on the east side of SLC, you can be up any of the canyons within about five minutes. They should of also talked about one of the best universities in the world, The U. (University of Utah).
@Whateverintheworld I used to live in Fort Douglas Utah from 1987-1990. I remember the area was so beautiful. I've always wanted to go back, but I haven't gotten the chance yet.
Great state, great things to do outdoors. Great people...... well most of them around 55%....10% undecided....35% have a better than you attitude as big as the Wasatch Mtns....not a hater of Utah lived here my hole life 30+yrs love it here and not planning on leaving so if you have a problem with my comment sorry...not trying to be judgemental but we all are, And hope people relize that.
@AmerikaanseKaas Yes they do check your age. There is a few 18 and older clubs. You can also go to concerts. You will be able to find make up and clothes. And yes of course you can ride horses in Utah.
Well I think that one all of that people that say tha slc is boring or beer blah blah bla it's maybe because they don't enjoy life at all they can enjoy it even a walk by the main street of slc and feel better an norest stuff that you never did because some people really don't care if you really enjoy crime tarffic the whole day and to much noise then go and live in new York
New york is more than New York City. It has some of the best state park land anywhere, the catskills and appalachian mountains provide awesome hiking, lake and creek swimming, mountain biking, and winter sports like snowboarding and skiing. Add that to New York City, and within 2 hours you have virtually everything you will ever want, lets not forget we have some decent beeches in long island.
How can this video consider SLC to be in the Midwest. People consider Ohio to be in the Midwest. WHAT THE HELL IS THE MIDWEST!! They should have a Mideast.
Im from Peru. Im a member of LA IGLESIA DE JESUCRISTO DE LOS SANTOS DE LOS ULTIMOS DIAS. Im very happy to return to the correct road, after 8 years. =) add me brothers ^^
SLC is so boring.. There is nothing but miles upon miles of Suburban sprawl houses that all look the same, strip malls that all look the same, people who all look the same, fast-food, hummers, and giant SUV's filled with desperate housewife soccer moms.. Boring Boring Boring.
@firemouth55 oh no no i despise this place it is horrible all the people here are ignorant and drunks and stoners i live in salt lake this place is just awful the wheather is all over the place it's still suppose to be winter and it's hot out there is absolutely no snow and the weather is just a bitch and here in sugar house there is so many places being either burnt and no repair but torn down or abandon its getting annoying
Utah is such a beautiful place, Salt Lake City is beautiful in places. Until just recently, I moved to New York. My family has started calling New York their home, but I will never. For I have to much Utah pride. Hah.
Yeah, I'm originally from Alabama and I live in Salt Lake City, UT. Its not bad here.. It does have a lot to offer in activities etc.. But it does get boring after a while.. Honestly, what city doesn't?
I would say that Chicago, New York, and Southern California never get boring, but also many of the things to do in these cities are very spread out and it is impossible to come up with the time to do the activities if you have to work or go to school.
New York never gets boring. You could find stuff to do(eat, party, shows) every day of the year and never go to the same place twice. New York has the best public transportation for its size.
everyone bitches about living here i love it go ahead and move it's more fun for me

Wyoming, I think is a stretch. It's the only state with a steadily decreasing population. Everyone either moves out of state or dies.
