  • Very well done guys ,I like the way you teach with many details and repetitions which are very helpful for a solid base !!!!!1

  • Thank you so much for this great video! I find the detail approach very helpful...and definitely that's a solid basis for the beautiful dancing at the end (when it's to music)

  • Wow! A swing instructional video in which the demonstrators can actually dance! Didn't know there was any such thing.

"Teach your students to dance"--that's what this is. I hate the FEEL of "relaxed" swing, as Heyelwood laughingly calls it. That's covering utter inability to lead and follow with flinging motions and sheer force. *shudders* IF you can't do this, no, you can't dance. You just may be so awful you can't tell.

  • Hi #UN#,

I liked your video and I'm watching all the videos about dance so I can to learn to dance like the pros.

    Thanks for yours,

    JP

  • I learned this type of dance in high school and I've been meaning to pick it up again, but this type seems a little different from what I learned. It seems that you rock step to the side but I was taught to rock step back.

It's different but I like it.

  • @shaunmc3433 Rock step is a rock step regardless of stepping back or to the side. Generally speaking when you dance in open position, you rock step away from your partner (back) but when dancing in closed position to want to rock step with/matching you partner (side).

  • Sim! Curti dançar o Nome : Anyne Can Dance Ert Coast Swing

    Até Mais,Abcs e Bjs .Bye

    Marcela Maria *Surda*

  • Thank you for the nice dance i am learning

  • This dance is silly and corny. If you really want to swing dance with real

spins and fun moves, then learn Ceroc, also called Modern Jive ( no not

the ballroom jive). Ceroc/Modern Jive eliminates footwork and is very

popular in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

    See "danceyourselfdizzycom

  • If you really want to learn swing dancing that is easy and swings, then

learn ceroc or modern jive. It's the style that's danced in England.

    Search "what is modern jive"

  • lol never mind I found it... Great instructions..

  • Hi I was wondering what song are you dancing to?

  • Heyelwood1, you are SO corret. Social east coast dancing looks totally different from this "ballroom east coast". You can still "triple step", but it's not as much of a walk across the floor, it's more in place. Non-ballroom east coast is SO fun! This just looks so...so BALLROOM!

  • very good dance

  • Man there is a huge difference between ballroom swing and club/relaxed swing. I hate the look of ballroom swing.

  • @Heyelwood1 I have to agree. I respect that there are people who are into diversification, but ballroom swing looks so proper and upright. Which is great if you are dancing a waltz or a foxtrot, even tango. It is like eating barbecue chicken with a fork and knife and not getting a drop of sauce on your fingers.

  • @Heyelwood1 You should check out Lindy Hop! :-)

  • @Heyelwood1 check out videos by

    itsaboutmomentum

they are much more relaxed, but still good dancers.

  • very clear vid

  • awesome!! I never knew how to dance, but their moves are so easy that made me learn how to dance. Best part is, I can DANCE now!! Kudos

  • I just love this couple. They make all of their dance moves look so easy!

  • I bought 4 DVDs- Salsa, Cha Cha, East coast swing and Waltz. I have certainly got worth of my money.

I frequently go back to the DVDs to revise and review. I have joined a dance class and I found these DVDs easier and better to follow.

No doubt, Don and Kasia are the best dance teachers.

  • You guys are still the BEST!!

  • Wow. It's real easy to learn from your demonstration. Great job!

  • how long did it take you to learn it?

  • Their demonstration looks VERY ballroom. I learned from this and another youtube video and it took me a minute to learn.

  • thanks this help me with my dance class in gym any other things one utube that u would think would help me???IM GREAT DANCER AND A FANTASTIC SINGER I ALWAYS COME IN 1ST OR2ND PLACE IN THE TALENT SHOW!!!

  • i love it!

  • Wow... what intricate level of detail. This is what I find really offputting about the ballroom dance scene - lessons where you spend ages agonising over something that takes someone who knows how to dance 10seconds to learn. Teach your students to dance and they will be much better equipped.

  • hi..i like your demonstration!and i learn it... gudluck!!

  • nice and simple.

  • yay i know how

  • VERY HELPDFUL AND UNDERSTANDABLE!!

  • Thank-you, Keep them coming.

  • this is easy stuff...anyone can do this, i want to learn harder stuff!

  • This is an Absolute Beginners series. I suggest you check out our website. We have instructional DVDs through the Gold level as well as variations and open choreography.

  • what is your website?

  • this is hard!

  • @DragQueenFetishGirl uh, duh, it's for beginners

  • is it not a JIVE?

  • This reminds me of the swing dancing club/teacing my boyfriend took me to. how he demestrated was very simmular to this, it's only different because he's in the middle of a circle. he was such a good teacher, and so are you/this guy.

  • exelentes bailarines!!!

  • best i have seen on youtube. the others are so boring or hard to understand. thank you!!

  • Uggh... such an odd rock/step step. I guess that step will work for beginnners but its just not practical in social dancing. Maybe its just me.

  • after i see that video i feel i can dance

  • What is the song that plays at the end?

  • This is 'Some Kind of Wonderful' by Grand Funk Railroad ~ TonyW

  • so wonderful and much appreciated. :) getting ready for my wedding...

  • good job! ..not too slow; good tempo

  • easy to understand

    thank you for upload

  • cool

  • teaching very well and clear
