I used to love the whole feeling I got from this cartoon. It seemed so mysterious and cool. I still get that feeling today. It wasn't corny at all like many of the cartoons nowadays.
@richardferro1991 The Brave and the Bold wasn't that bad, but there are people who don't dig the style of the original comics. This show on the other hand surpasses the cheesiness of the '50s and adds a darker, bolder look that's all the better for it. Hopefully, we'll see another Batman cartoon with a similar style to TAS.
wanna know what i like best about batman? he taught me, many years ago back in middle school, that you had to stand up to bullies and beat the crap out of them to teach them not to mess with you. did i get in trouble? sure as hell i did, but that's the hard choice batman makes, because those bullies never troubled me again. batman really is my favorite superhero.
'My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic' is a very good cartoon, but anyone who says that it's better than 'Batman: The Animated Series' needs to be fucking shot in the head with a rocket launcher.
I don't care what anyone says. This Batman triumphs over Tim Burton's Batman, Christopher Nolan's Batman, Rocksteady's Batman, Adam West's Batman, Comic book Batman, or any other Batman that was ever conceived, and that is my simple IMO.
Now little boys and girls, this is an example of when Cartoon Network actually had good shows, like Batman the Animated Series, Superman the Animated series, Justice league, and even the anime shows which I didn't personally care for but had great plotlines. Not the shit they have today like Adventure Time and Chowder.
@sushiking1223 Woah bro, have you actually watched at least 5-6 episodes of each of those shows? They're actually pretty good, not as good as stuff like Batman, TMNT, or Transformers, but they are much better than the other shit like MAD or Half-Naked Animals.
@sega310982 I just got that feeling, or at least something similar. As I watched, I was taken from my seat and transported back to my couch in my old house as a kid on a Saturday morning, captivated. Every shot... every punch... I remembered all of it. I MEMORIZED this opening as a kid. It was just sitting there in the back of my brain, waiting for a massive wave of nostalgia to dislodge it...
When I was a little girl, I always thought Batman and boy superheroes were just for boys, but when I was 5 and this cartoon premiered, I developed an instant crush on Batman and that's when I found out that boy superheroes esp Batman wasn't only fcr boyz!! Bruce Wayne is fucking HOT!!!!
THIS was an awesome series. I'm pissed that it didn't kick off as much of a trend of animated shows as it should have. Today's animated TV Shows (and really TV in general) suck ass.
@opszanski The problem is they're more strict with what's aimed at children nowadays. If anything this is the type of stuff that kids like! There was a reason I preferred this over Tiny Toons, Bobby's World and even TMNT.

@Dramactica Visual form/medium. Tomato/tomato. (no seriously, you mean visual form as in drawn in I mean medium as a way to convey something - they both fit). While that you're somewhat right, you're also looking exclusively at TV shows. By their nature, shows appeal to the mainstream, and as such have lower extremes. Really, Mr Dink (god I hated that show and his stupid weiner) and Mr Hell are the only two I can think of that didn't appeal to mainstream and were comics.
this is the real batman maaan , not that cheap corporate shit of today , heath ledger sucked as the joker...but i guess after brokeback mountain he was used to sucking in movies any way
This cartoon easily proved you could make an animated show, FOR CHILDREN, that could still be bad ass without becoming complete, utter garbage. It was action packed and beautifully animated and not for one second lacked in wit, intelligence, plot, and awesome characters. I guarantee I could still watch this show today, being 21 years old, and enjoy it just as much as I did 14 years ago because it's THAT GOOD.
Look, I don't care if you're a fucking Jew, a goddamn spic, nigger, or other. Anybody can see what an ungodly unwanted piece of dirty garbage this is. I for one am glad it's cancelled. It sucks monkey fuck. It's a shit stain on the very fabric of nature. I'll never get over how fucking horrendous it is, and you people should be ashamed for thinking it's anything more than what I've described it as. You're all going to hell, and so am I, but I accept that, unlike you people.
@Dramactica You know why we watch Cartoons instead the film.Because we are true Batman fans and watching cartoon is sometimes the same entertainment as watching a movie.
Don't let the anime people/cartoon lovers let you hear there. Cartoon is a medium (same with 3D, live actors, black and white, etc). A medium cannot be defined as "for something" (water is only for baking!) Heck, just thinking of it, mission hill and the obloongs are two shows I could not see kids really even liking (unlike ren and stimpy). Funny as hell if you're older though.
I know cartoon (really, animation) is an illustrated visual artform (not a medium) but I don't see as an "artform". It doesn't matter it is kids or not, these shows have the same awful comedy crap with less wit and vulgarity. I know about and have watch obloongs but I feel like I watching horrible comedy of Modern Family. The only cartoon decent is King of the Hill.
@Dramactica No, you're wrong. Beavis & Butthead, South Park & Family Guy are cartoons but they're not for kids. So much for your logic. This was considered too dark and violent for kids and it's praised for it's mature and dark tone. And the reason people would prefer this over the movies is because the Animated Series was a proper Batman incarnation that had the best voice acting, visuals, story telling and it was very true to it's source material. Try reading a comic for once.
I don't read comics because it consider to be low entertainment than movies, fine art, music, etc. Beavis & Butthead, South Park and Family Guy are not cartoons in my eyes. More like crap with many of vulgarity and anti religious stuff. I had watch at least one scene on Batman:TAS and it wasn't even too violent or dark . If people prefer the cartooon, then why Dark Knight is the highest grossing films ever and critical acclaim?
@Dramactica If comics are considered as low entertainment then why is it that majority of the heroes from the novels are the most popular of our time? You should know that a single episode doesn't represent an entire season. Highest grossing film.... it means very little. It doesn't determine total ticket buys. Ticket price has gone up 50% in the past decade. How is a cartoon supposed to reach that level if it's not even shown in theaters but on television? Fail logic at its finest.
@Dramactica Thx, Hmm When was kid favorite Batman cartoon early 90 and Batman, return, Forever, and Batman & Robins good. I don't care cartoon suck when they Comic add movie film well. I don't like other new Batman cartoon 1998 Robins kid wtf. What were real Robin teenage about 5'7 tall than cartoon shit. Real Batman & Robins cartoon perfect.

@mrcheeta28 Was this the exact moment you realized you were now an old man talking about how everything was better back in your day?
Granted, they never HAVE topped this show, but 90s cartoons weren't all good. You're just only remembering the good ones, and through a filter of nostalgia at that.
@infernalirk Lol sometimes it does make me feel older saying that, but its true that most kids cartoons these days are crap. Just to mention a few good 90s cartoons, there were animaniacs, tiny toon adventures, ducktales, bobbys world, ren & stimpy, spider-man among others. I'm not gonna say that every single 90s cartoon was good but there were certainly better kids cartoons in the 90s than today.
@mrcheeta28 Since then they've had Justice League Unlimited, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Spectacular Spider-Man, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Duck Dodgers, Phinas & Ferb, Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorprated, and others. I think you'll find that when you look at our childhood programming and tehs ethrough the same eyes, you'll find kids today aren't as wanting for good cartoons as you might think. For one thing, they're Spider-Man cartoon was waaaay better.
@mrcheeta28 I'm truly grateful to have grown up in the age of cartoons like Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Fantastic 4 :) Justice League was a good show but they stopped that soon enough :(
@mrcheeta28 yes my friend this was back when cartoons were fucking awesome not crappy shit lke today!! This cartoons was just exquisite and stunning!!!
I bought all four seasons from amazon MSG me and let me know if you want me to upload episodes I will start from episode one season one and upload two full episodes a week IF I get enough responses.
@2SilentD Actually, several animators from japanese animation studio Sunrise did work on the series. So in a way, it does has a kind of anime flavour to it.
I'm looking for one of the episodes of a Batman cartoon. I'm not sure if it's this one or not and I can't remember much about it. I do remember that in one point in the cartoon movie/episode that Batman looks at a picture that a girl drew and finds out the identity of the girl he was looking for. It might've been Catwoman I'm not sure though. I think there were 3 girls featured too. Thanks for your time! :)
HEY GUYS you wana watch all Batman TAS episodes or free?? then type in batman cartoon blogspot.com enter it and click the first link at the top then you'll be able to watch all youre batman episodes whitout it bieng taken of from you tube for copyright -_- And it's almost like you tube! Youll see what i mean whn you click it. :P
@Shadowjugement Yeah but that would just be waisting money wouldnt it? Why buy it while you can watch it for free at blogspot?Im not a troll/spammer btw just saying.
@Shadowjugement Oh so youre telling you can't supporting it by watching it for FREE? youre telling me that you can only support it by wasting youre MONEY? that what you telling me?
@sonicspindash31 How does watching it on some website online for free support it? Do the people who spent time and effort get anything from that? Any indication that people like there effort and would possibly think about doing more from the basis of the series?
@Shadowjugement Look to support the show you have to WATCH it that's all.And to watch it you have to buy it on dvd or watch it on television. But since it doesnt show anymore youre only option would be to buy it.But now there giving us a chance to watch the show for free.Wich means you can support the show whitout spending youre money and to make things even better you can comment on the video wich is also a way to support the series. Can you comment on the vidoes on youre dvd?
@sonicspindash31 Yeah, I can, to my friends and people I know. I can also comment on youtube on the intro, or awesome clips from the show. Even on forums and other places like that. Its the same thing as illegally downloading stuff. The people who made the show itself dont get anything from it. How would you feel if you made a tv show, but everyone just watched it online? No money to support the show from dvd sales, or tv views. So you wouldnt even know people like it.
@Shadowjugement Oh that's what you ment. but the creators still know we support and and apreciate all there hard work in this amazing show just by us watching it online.I mean that's most important thing after all isn't it? To watch it?
This is the best cartoon hands down. I used to be in a magnet program that held us after classes until 5:30pm back in elementary school. I skipped magnet classes to go home and watch this cartoon. LMAO No one suspected anything, because what elementary school student skipped class in those days? hahaha I just remembered that now.
SOMEONE HELP!!!!! what year were these?? i just remember watching them as a kid. i miss the shit out of them. i want to see if i can buy them somewhere.... i hope.
I don't get why some people's mention My Little Pony on a Batman: The Animated Series opening? They're two completely different shows and they belong in their respective videos. I love both shows btw and I grew up watching B:TAS. No Batman cartoon can replace it.
@DOOMWC Because in a recent episode of My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic, some notes and cues of this Batman theme could be heard during a chase scene between Rainbow Dash and a masked superhero pony (who was a cross between The Shadow, Batman and Darkwing Duck)
Nostalgic :'(

This animated series was far away of its time, really dark much alike the new batman and nothing to do with the 90' Batman.

We took the DCAU seriously because it took us seriously. It didn't try to dumb the things down or friendly it up.

sonicspindash31 1 month ago
@sonicspindash31 Or just support the awesome series and get it all on DVD.
Shadowjugement 1 month ago
@Shadowjugement Yeah but that would just be waisting money wouldnt it? Why buy it while you can watch it for free at blogspot?Im not a troll/spammer btw just saying.
sonicspindash31 1 month ago
@sonicspindash31 Yes, its a total waste of money to support an amazing television show that gave so many people amazing memorys.
Shadowjugement 1 month ago
@Shadowjugement Oh so youre telling you can't supporting it by watching it for FREE? youre telling me that you can only support it by wasting youre MONEY? that what you telling me?
sonicspindash31 1 month ago
@sonicspindash31 How does watching it on some website online for free support it? Do the people who spent time and effort get anything from that? Any indication that people like there effort and would possibly think about doing more from the basis of the series?
Shadowjugement 1 month ago
@Shadowjugement Look to support the show you have to WATCH it that's all.And to watch it you have to buy it on dvd or watch it on television. But since it doesnt show anymore youre only option would be to buy it.But now there giving us a chance to watch the show for free.Wich means you can support the show whitout spending youre money and to make things even better you can comment on the video wich is also a way to support the series. Can you comment on the vidoes on youre dvd?
sonicspindash31 1 month ago
@sonicspindash31 Yeah, I can, to my friends and people I know. I can also comment on youtube on the intro, or awesome clips from the show. Even on forums and other places like that. Its the same thing as illegally downloading stuff. The people who made the show itself dont get anything from it. How would you feel if you made a tv show, but everyone just watched it online? No money to support the show from dvd sales, or tv views. So you wouldnt even know people like it.
Shadowjugement 1 month ago
@Shadowjugement Oh that's what you ment. but the creators still know we support and and apreciate all there hard work in this amazing show just by us watching it online.I mean that's most important thing after all isn't it? To watch it?

@appau3 Isn't it obvious? Their guns are actually grappling hook pistols. They just happen to have really sharp tips for stabbing things, too.
Not that it'd help against Batman. He dulls points through his mere glare.

I don't get why some people's mention My Little Pony on a Batman: The Animated Series opening? They're two completely different shows and they belong in their respective videos. I love both shows btw and I grew up watching B:TAS. No Batman cartoon can replace it.
DOOMWC 1 month ago
@DOOMWC Because in a recent episode of My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic, some notes and cues of this Batman theme could be heard during a chase scene between Rainbow Dash and a masked superhero pony (who was a cross between The Shadow, Batman and Darkwing Duck)
TheOniKami 1 month ago
@DOOMWC Because Batman is awesome enough to be a target of ponification ;p (which turns out quite funny and/or well done sometimes).
...or maybe simply people love them both, just like you do, and... well.... in some odd way feel the need to share that ;p
