What's ur exhaust setup in this vid? I have a 94 c4 and I'm thinking about just replacing the mufflers with straight pipe and replacing the center res with either the magnaflow center res with x pipe or just an x pipe without center res
Oh sweet. I just got my x pipe, and I'm about to replace my muffs with straight pipe for a month and then eventually replace those with powersticks if the sound is too high pitched/loud
Is the ride stiff? I am just wondering because I heard C4s are too stiff. If the ride kills a lot, then I'll have to pay more for a C5, and I don't want to pay more or buy something else. Please tell me since ur a C4 owner.
No mate, i wouldnt say its stiff, just try a few first, if you get an FE1 suspension car itll be pretty soft, and it will also have alot to do with the shocks fitted to the car. Mine is abit stiffer then most cause i have KONI Yellow shocks and put in ZO7 springs, but i wouldnt say it is too stiff.
The cam is a Crane Cams HR-284-2S-12 IG so its big enough, the reason it doesnt sound too lumpy is cause it has sequential fuel injection and i tuned it myself. But in all honesty, the sound quality of this clip doesnt do it justice, i used a digital still cam to take the video. Thanks for your comments mate ;)
528 horses at the flywheel acording to the dyno, dont know at the wheels cause i havent had it on a chassis dyno. Once youve been driving a Corvette as a daily driver for 9 years, no amount of power ever feels like enough, and you always want more.
all stock lt1 puts out about 300hp to the wheels but i dont know how much the new exhaust increased the number :( sorry just trying to help if i can, just test drove and most likely (unless something goes horribly wrong) will buy it. Cheers mate!
No mate, a stock LT1 in a C4 Corvette puts out 300 horse at the flywheel, not at the wheels. It was factory rated at 300 horse, and factory rating on any car is always at the flywheel, never at the wheels.
Great stuff!! Congratulations on the new Corvette!! Have a search for australian corvettes association forum, its our local Australian run Corvette forum, we have a fair fe members from other countries though ;)
Im not sure mate, the long tube headers are Tri-Y design, dual 2.75 inch pipes and high flow bullet cats, and at the time of that video it had some custom made stainless mufflers on it, but they are now gone and it has some Genie stainless straight through mufflers instead. Thanks very much for your compliment!!! ;)
