I was going to buy one of these, but they're ridiculously hard to find. The demand is so high that dealers are charging MSRP + 15k. I guess I'll have to just get a 135i and add the performance upgrades for the engine, exhaust, and suspension. Almost the same as the 1M, just won't have the body kit or the badge. Sigh.

Your 135i can't even come close, I have a 325ci and it doesn't even come close, and it's faster than your car so you are either exaggerating/dillusional or misinformed sir. Hell, my Crossfire outruns yours and mine now and it won't be able to come close to this and it runs the QM in 14.9 and has a top speed of 151.... This car, as of this year "2011" is not available in the U.S. today. It's coming in 2012 as of now.

My impression on seeing the video of the downsized M was that finally BMW got the point, and got back to building sporty performance cars that are nimble enough to drive through a keyhole, never mind that they used computer graphics for the effect.
