Ok, seriously. I have yet to meet a person who hates Stryker for a good reason. You say he sucks? Well, in what way? He doesn't fit in? He has no powers and is an ordinary cop, which is boring? While right next to his opponent, he pulls out an aluminum baseball bat, swings the bat with all his force to sever both of his opponent's legs and hit a grounder. "STRIKE ONE!!!" he'd exclaim. Then, he'd swing the bat toward either one of his opponent's arms to sever it and make a line drive. "STRIKE TWO!!!" he'd shout. Finally, he'd swing the bat at his opponent's head, decapitating him and making a home run. "STRIKE THREE!!! YOU'RE OUT!!"
I didn't really start liking him until Armaggedon though. I played with him in MK3 but I wasn't a fan of his costume design and his moves were a bit harder to execute. I like how his costume in MK9 resembles his MK3 costume but looks more like an official police uniform this time. I also like how he kills the other fighter even when not performing a fatality by tossing a grenade at their body after he defeats them.
I love Stryker. He's definitely become one of my favorite characters. I've gotten really good with him and people hate it when I select him because I have all his moves memorized and they think his moves are cheap lol.

Kurtis Stryker in Mortol Kombat 3 was awesome precisely BECAUSE he was a regular looking urban dude who fought with gadgets in a world full of shapeshifting and fireballs. Something about his look screamed 1990's to me (especially with the backwards hat), so seeing him gives me some nostalgia. I didn't really dig his Armageddon gettup. Too sleek and different. He looks more like he used to in the new game (which is badass), but figured out how to wear a hat properly, which is a shame.
Stryker was pretty lame until they gave him the gun move. His trip and flying toss moves were very predictable and easy to block. His grenades were ok in a tiger shot way, but he was a really weak character in the original Mortal Kombat 3.

^^^There actually is a martial arts move that does just that; I saw it on a show called "Manswers" when the question "What's the deadliest martial arts move?" was asked.

if he comes his mk3 look with minor adjustments should be his alt outfit. main outfit is the swat like look boon and tobias failed to use in mk3 or as long it fits the standards of mk9. a shotgun should be one of his weapons since he is a nypd or whatever cop jobs he has throughout the mk story.
Kurtis Stryker has many haters but I really don't care. He is great fighter with unique fatalities and fighting style. I love his both looks in MK3 and Armageddon and really hope that Stryker will come back in the next mk games!!!

Stryker was, is, and always will be awesome. I hope that he is in MK9. At least as a DLC Character.

I have a strong feeling that Stryker won't be in Mortal Kombat 9.
They said they were getting rid of unpopular and clone characters.
Stryker was never really very popular, so there's a big chance he might get axed.

@SlasherIncorporated Well I'm still confident that he will be. If you looked at Ed Boon's Twitter recently, he posted a picture of the shirt that they used for Stryker's motion capture for MK3. It was titled, "Maybe someone is trying to tell us something?" That's my only, but biggest hunch.

I am not against him returning. I like Stryker as a character. I'm really good with him in Armageddon.

i thought he was Johnny Cage in Armaggedon. I was like, "Wow Johnny Cage just pwned Mileena in the intro." Then i picked the character and i was like "OMG STRIKER!?!?!"

Yes he looked more like an undercover cop and that's what I always thought stryker was. I kinda liked how Stryker looked in MK3 and UMK3 just a modern dude; the new outfit he looks like Albert Wesker from Resident Evil.

stryker is cool, i wish they would have put his 90's outfit in the game. i just recently played MK3 for the first time (never was a huge fan of any MK games past 1 and 2) and thought it was just totally rad that he looked so 90's

if he comes his mk3 look with minor adjustments should be his alt outfit. main outfit is the swat like look boon and tobias failed to use in mk3 or as long it fits the standards of mk9. a shotgun should be one of his weapons since he is a nypd or whatever cop jobs he has throughout the mk story.

Kurtis Stryker has many haters but I really don't care. He is great fighter with unique fatalities and fighting style. I love his both looks in MK3 and Armageddon and really hope that Stryker will come back in the next mk games!!!
