You don't understand the immigration process. The people who cross the border illegally do it because the CAN'T get in legally. It they could, they wouldn't be risking their lives. Crossing illegally would be much more difficult than doing it legally. It usually expensive and dangerous. Choosing to come legally or illegally is a false choice. If you were a poor Mexican living in an tin shack in the middle of the desert, you'd be on your way north too.
