  • Just lost my best friend tonight, listening to this in her memory. OREO! You were the best dog a kid could ever have, you were always making life interesting and fun with all your mischievous antics and when you got old you were just the biggest sweetheart in the world. I will never forget you and I'll carry you with me forever!!!! I love you pup!!!! : (

  • I remember this song of some TV show.. cant remember

  • @skaman171 daria??

  • i wish i had a dog that did kung fu at the mail man and humped old ladies

  • i love the suicide machines, even their poppy stuff

  • Addicted to that bass line...

  • the sucide machines got pop punk songs also...it was all about ska punk! bt.... soo sad!!

  • lo peor q puedieron sacar TSM....donde quedo el skacore???

  • This so sweet for him to write a song about his dog, I know he fells. I miss my dog.

  • Love the story. Unholy fucking satin. these guys save lives. Mine many times. True fan here. Sux they split. But i was at the fest for their last preformance. My fav. among many bands.

  • Puss Puss :)

  • I didn't really like this album because pop punk really wasn't The Suicide Machines' sound, but I gotta say this song is pretty good.

  • They suck without Derek.

  • this is awesome :P ahaha

  • if you dont like the song don't listen, stop debating on what punk is and who's more punk, its a stupid arguement you listen to music because you like it not because you have to

  • All I meant was that after this, they didn't really deliver for me, and I gave up on them. Also I don't care what's punk or not. I'm probably less punk (whatever that means) than anybody that ever listened to this band. I just thought it was a horrible chaser for the "Battle Hymns" record.

  • @Vaudiophile yea, but steal this record was pretty good actually.

  • @megenthal Steal this album* you mean

  • ...and this was where the Suicide Machines killed themselves in my eyes.

  • @Vaudiophile ya cause singing about a dog, something people love is death inducing...dumb fuck. Quit the punker than you mentality that comment reeks of. So its soft and its about a dog so its not punk right? Actually singing about a dog and making it light, is punk as fuck. JFC what is wrong with people~

  • well this sucks.

  • Great tune, cool vid. Really makes me miss my dog. :(

  • Nanu!!!

  • for some reason i like this video

  • I love this song!!!!

  • i love this song! i think that everyone who has a dog should listen to it <3

  • sickass scum need to burn in hell all of you

  • I dedicate this song to my doggie Knoxville who died this morning. I'm gonna miss you little boy.

  • @lasquid RIP Knoxville you will be missed

  • What's that in the bottom corner? MTV logo? What happened?

  • @SCARYFREAKINGPERSON MTV used to play good music. Obviously not anymore.

  • This song is great. I like to imagine it's really about a girl.

  • @tinycatsinmyhair so you're gives you a rash when you touch her and she smells like shit?

  • Comment removed

  • The drummer in my band just lost his dog to a hit and run. He was a great dog and this song actually brought a tear to my jaded punk rock eye.

  • Who cares? It's a good song. They're a good band. Nuff said.

  • your all retarded. songs making fun of love songs. at first it seems to be about a girl but as the song goes on its about a dog. its funny...

  • the solo is what makes this song above awesome

  • i'm just glad they didn't stay with this sound

  • I remember being in 5th grade and my family finally got cable. I instantly went to MTV 2 to watch some music videos because back then that's all they played. This was the first song that came on. Still love the Suicide Machines to this day.

  • i've been into these guys for 15 years.....big fan....i don't care who calls them what......i know that whenever i want to hear good music, i put these guys on........haters will hate.........btw this song is great.....suck it!

  • lol the suicide machines jump on everyband wagon possibleto get fame. like in the 90`s they were ska, then they were pop-punk and next they jumped on the republicans are dumb band wagon.

  • @StevenAteYourDogs Fuck off. Its not "attempting to gain fame"

think about the clash, they were nothing like a punk band until they saw the sex pistols live.. then they said they knew punk was the new thing needed.

its not selling out if they do a different kind of music than there older stuff.... its being different.

  • This song's about a dog...

  • i swear to god i thought he was talking about a girl lol

  • BEST BAND EVER! well one of lol

  • That is one attractive lead singer

  • I'm not a "softie" either, but I'll tell ya what...I sang this song to my most loyal companion, Moxie, for 10 years. It was definitely our buddy song. He passed recently and life just hasn't been the same since. RIP old friend. You are highly missed and always loved.

  • whats so funny is that it sounds like a love song for a girl you like but its for his dog :d I LOVE IT :D

  • This song was very popular in Iceland when it came out in the Spring of 2000. I remember hearing it on the radio at least twice a day.

  • miss you rusty

  • every band has to do a more mellow style for a bit until they realize they gotta go back to punk/ska!

  • That dog looks like a big stoned out cat.

  • @Mackie14

Punk isnt a sond or a look its an attitude or outlook and the way you carry yourself, people need to stop worry if things are punk or not. that in itself is the furthest thing from punk. Punk more than anything was a period of time or an era moreso in the early 80s

  • This isn't selling out, it is a joke song.... That is definately punk.

  • It's not a bad song if you accept it for what it is, this was during there pop punk era when suicide machines were trying to get more main stream, I'm sure the record company pressured them too, I'm just glad there last to albums were the punk/ska that attracted there fans in the first place, I'm just sayin...

  • Finally! A cool lovesong for dogs! :D

    Love it!

And it's not a softie song, it's just awesome! :D

  • Hilarious realizing that Hellmouth is the same singer, imagining this then how heavy the other band is!

  • Listen Boogie... Miss u

  • one of the best songs about mans best friend.

  • What the hell this sounds almost like anything you hear on the radio. Not good. Something I was not expecting from Suicide Machines.

  • @RussX5Z fuck you its a good song, obviously you dont play in a band cus you dont know that sometimes you have to write shit thats not in the norm so you dont go crazy

  • @TheBarnCat51 Fuck you! You have bad taste in music, and you're a sheep! And I was in a band. A band that'll eat you apart like a filthy cunt whore animal motherfucker!! Ha ha ha!!!

  • @RussX5Z you are very good at arguing you proved a valid point, how about you give me a link to your bands myspace

  • This has been one of my favorite songs for a long time. It was my dog Ripley's "song". She passed away yesterday. Thank you for this.

  • i used to not like this song, but then i found out it was about his dog. then i thought of my dog. now i love this song.

  • I'm a fur! I love this song. Suits my pursona perfickly! :D

  • Every punk band needs a softie song

  • DnD and battle hyms are the best, this is when they stopped ska core and treid to be the beatles.. badd

  • @vitasG99 dont talk about the beatles wannabe rebellious boy......THIS IS FROM MY GENERATION PUNK......go back to gaga and whoever else your generation spawned..these dudes rocked, just because they dont scream into a mike dosent mean the sold out.

  • einfach zu geil der köter...ich würde den rotz nennen.....komm her rotz, na los

  • LOVE THEM!

  • hahaha awesome music video

  • these dudes soooo need to come back!!! hardly anybody does awesome music like these guys anymore!

  • royce wrote this song, its not one of their best. in fact i didnt buy steal this record because of this album. there's like 3 songs on this cd that even remotely sound like the old (and what would be considered newer) Suicide Machines.

  • @missionblank1 I remember buying this album and thinking "this is a totally shitty album with no good songs on it." I revisited it recently and decided "this is a pretty shitty album with five good songs on it." (this one, Permanent Holiday, Fade Away, I Hate Everything, Reasons, Rose Garden <---- which is still one of the best punk covers ever).

  • @EatYerDamnWheaties wait... that's six songs. doh.

  • @EatYerDamnWheaties i dont think i hate evrything is a good song. it kinda reminds me of bro, by goldfinger

  • @missionblank1 wow, now that you mention it, the two do sound familiar.

  • @EatYerDamnWheaties mmm are u sure?

  • @EatYerDamnWheaties i just think they both suck, " Dont say that your my bro dont say it dont you prettend that your my bro. and " "no making friends to day cuz i hate everything" i dont think the're good songs. i like green a scincerety ( how ever u spell it) and the song that goes " whatcha gona do when they find? whatcha gona do when it all comes down yeah"

  • this song is soo awesome!

  • This is hilarious! I heard this about 5 years ago and hadn't seen the video, so it took until the end of the song to understand it was about a dog. Brilliant. Bummed they broke up.

  • they wrote a song about a dog? wats the big fuckin deal dogs rule

  • ive loved the suicide machines since destruction but after they released this cd i bought it and i didnt buy steal this record cuz of how bad the self titled was. is this song a joke

  • i don´t understand the meaning of the song?

it is a joke about love songs like insert says?

  • i think the cleverness of the song is in the lyrics, cuz the video kinda gives away the clever aspect. If you just listen to it you wouldn't know he was singing about a dog until about half way through, so at first you just think it's a love song, then it becames a love-dog song. Kinda clever. I suppose.

  • yeah its a huge joke lol

  • i seriously think these guys coulda been bigger than Blink if they woulda kept going and sold out.

  • FUCK that, is this the only song you've ever heard by them you brainless fuckstick? Theyre defintely the kind of band to back out and break up sooner than they did if that offer was put on the table

  • haha you completely misunderstood me i mean if that was ever to happen or not even sold out just kept going.

plus who the fuck are you to speak for other people get of their dicks and go drink some mountain dew brooouuuuu.

and if it weren't for this fuckstick u wouldnt of experienced daylight fuckbag. i knew i shoulda worn a rubber you ungrateful piece of shit.

  • SM Fans - search Youtube "2009 11 05 Suicide Machines" to see some videos from two awesome SM shows on Nov 5, 2009, at Trumbullplex and Old Miami in Detroit. SM did the shows to help a friends legal defense fund, I was at the Trumbullplex show with my teenage sons and their friends, it was one of my best moments of the year, and I'm 47 years old - DETROIT PUNK CITY!!

  • You are the man, WTF!

  • I thought this song was kind of like a joke about love songs? Hence why it's about their dog? Like, "hey we should write a cheesey love song for fun". Ya know, sarcasm? Jokes? Yeah...

  • I love this song haha!

  • this song fucking sucks

  • Fuck you troll

  • I fucking miss them...

  • muy buena que recuerdos..

  • This song just makes me so strangely happy!

  • fack you man, if you dont like it shut up and dont listen it !! fack off

  • just like you.

  • so why the fuck are you watching this video ?? maybe cuz you'r a fucking tarded hater that's why. fuck off !

  • The band is over... 'cos they split like 2 years ago.

But their last record was a return to form, they just had some bad years in the middle.

  • As long as their are recordings still in print, not band is ever "over".

  • Este tema es la zorra ! Antiguo. Muy buena banda.

  • RIP CHEWY

  • dude this song came out almost 8 years ago

  • i bought this album in 2000...jesus im old

  • To all the idiots/posers who commented about the "meaning" of punk, punk is just fucking music + a state of mind! nothing fucking else jeez.

  • it's kinda depressing to see these great punk bands from the 90's go with the flow of this fucking shit that is coming out today.

I like suicide machines, but I don't like this

  • the singer of this band used to be MY neighbor

  • Yeah well, my dads cousins uncles brother inlaw used to know the guy who was in the dog suit.

  • Wouldn't your dads cousins uncle just be your dads uncle or his dad?

  • I'm going to get a dog soon and this is going to be our theme song.

  • haha awesome

  • @0o0oo0o , damn you. you stole my idea. xD

  • This song's awesome =D

  • they arent sell outs. but this song isnt like their normal shit, but its still really good.

  • @rockybigfeet09

Yeah they took a BIG chance with their self-titled record IMO, very similar to Bad Religions "The New America." When I heard it I was like "uhh...what?" But then I picked up the record and heard the rest of it and some of my favorite songs are from the self-titled record. Hell, "The Fade Away" is one of my favorite songs ever, let alone from the Machines.

  • @rockybigfeet09 exactly, they didnt sell out. this is a the closest thing youre going to get to a suicide machines ballad.

  • @rockybigfeet09 Yeah but it sucks that it's their most viewed song on youtube.

  • lol he's singin bout his dog

  • haha no m8..he's singing about his ex and he is refering her as a dog..sarcasm good shit..

  • I agree that this music is different then what they used to be like, but its their band and their decision. And this song could be better, but its got 65000 views which is more than most of their original punk videos/ songs on here

  • Comment removed

  • Sell outs?

Dude THEY MADE THEIR OWN DAMN RECORD LABEL!

  • you wanna hear "emo" music back when the shit was just emotional alternative? listen to at the drive-in. theyre from back in the mid, late 90s. good instrumentals, metaphorical lyrics that you had to sit there and interpret them. thats what emo should mean. right now, the worst thing that is happening to music is 3oh3!. sure the band makes good, funny music as a joke. but then all these ripoff bands that didnt get the joke are making the same kind of music and taking it seriously.

  • man,try to listen Battle Hymns,Destruction by Definition,A Match And Some Gasoline..

  • war profiteering is killing us all is also an amazing album

  • This was their intentional foray into a poppier sound, I would suggest you dig into their history and their other albums/songs a little more before you base judgement on a band from one song.

  • Yea you should open up to their newer stuff.

    "Your silence" would destroy you!

  • this is the only album by the suicide machines i fucking hate! all their other albums are awesome! guess thats what happens when you sign to a major!?

  • Punks not dead! From the beginning of punk it was a movement to speak freely about what you beleived in in an attempt to make a difference. it was never sterotyped to a genre of music or the type of clothes you wore it was more a mentality to express your self through music. punk will only die when you let it, and it sure as hell aint dead yet!

  • Punk will not be a thing of the past or "dead" until it becomes contradictory, or in more simple terms...popular. Like Emo has been around for along time, it didn't just pop out of nowhere, and now emo is kinda false cuz everyone and their grandma is emo. and even if true punks don't like to hear it, I know I sure don't. Emo used to be a type of punk, but now its been fabricated and now its not punk. When true Punk becomes like that, it will be dead.

  • punks not dead and never will die. but punk just changed. i m 28 and listening punk since 1995. ofcourse i m worry about future of punk. coz some posers are saying we are new generation punk(avril, simple plan, good charlotte like those shit). but pls check out nitro records, fat wreck records or AF records bands and u will see great new generation punk bands. dont worry dudes punk will never die. coz soul is still alive and alotof new bands have this rebel soul.

  • simple plans not punk nor is this song retard XP

  • Obviously you didn't read his comment you complete idiot

  • yer all dumb. punk aint shit it has no meaning anymore all thats left is fashion and posing cuz thats all rich kids know and rich brat kids are 90% of the scene now. True PUNK is dead, only us old punk zombies remain

  • I salute you

  • your tottaly fucking wrong. who are u to say punk is dead. cuz where im from toledo, O.H punk rock is everywhere.

  • Hah, as long as the true punk fans are alive, punk will never die. Mall punkers will come and go, just like all other pop music.

  • assorted jellybeans and these guys are fucking great

  • shut the fuck up about its name and just listen to the shit....jesus christ....god damn it its fucking music

  • too funny. lol

  • Stop whining about your opinions and?or who's right or wrong, it's annoying. punk i just punk, there really is no meaning, it's just different.

  • how bout this

    shut up

punk also isnt crying about what is and what is not punk

    enjoy whatever music you please

  • Well i think that "punk" is a word that can have many significances because it's not about been rebel, renegade or say fuck them all, i think it's about conviction, the suicide machines make a song about how much they love a pet so fucking what? they don't need to say fuck the goverment all the time, in fact there's no necesary to have protest to be punk, yeah... many "punk" bands do that but it's not obligatory and anyways who cares how you name the music, music can be good no matter what is it

  • lol about a dog

    epic

  • i just figured out this song is about a dog... hahaha fuck yes, leave to the suicide machines to write a good song about a dog

  • Punk is Originality... not caring what people think. its about being yourself and if people dont like it ... f**k them.

  • which is why they gave up what they wanted to write for one whole album and signed to a major label and wrote this song? riiiiiight. i still dig it anyway.

  • they didnt give up what they WANTED to write are you kidding?

  • The Meatmen

  • NOFX is pop punk. but the good kind like screeching weasel. not the sellout kind

  • K pop punk is gay, it ruins punk. Punk is supposed to be like going against media and stuff.

  • Punks all about being against everything. Athority Sucks balls and you never trust anybody. I consider NOfx punk not pop punk cuz they make fun of government and stuff. 90's punk was super good!

  • Im sure you just got into punk because you truly dont sound like you have any idea what you are talking about. So pop punks gay and ruins punk huh, how about the bubble gum punk of the Ramones or the Queers? Just because people label shit like Sugarcult and Simple Plan pop punk doesnt make it pop punk because neither of those bands have shit to do with any kind of scene. Its people like YOU that ruin punk because you put fucking limitations on what is and is not REAL punk.

  • ok, wow, so you say your a punk rocker when your spending your time writing comments on youtube to other people about how "new" they are to punk truly you have no clue what your talking about because pop punk is a new section you cant say that the sex pistols and the germs sounds like gay ass blink182 so screw you buddy.

  • Pop punk is not a new section of punk, again have you heard of the Queers??? The Sex Pistols were a manufactured band to make money off a new craze that was developing so they are just as fucking lame as N Sync or better yet Simple Plan. Don't try to argue semantics with some one that grew up listening to and part of the punk and hardcore communities. Oh and homophobe music can't have a sexual preference. Get fucked.

  • punk is going against the grain of what is cool and what you think your supposed to do. trying to conform is not punk. goin against what you classify as punk is more punk than staying in the mold of having to rebel against government and media like you say. punk is always changing. the clash ->nofx->millencolin. times change and definitions change. people like you trying to classify what punk is fucks up the music. now go and listen to your avril lavigne again and rebel against your parents.

  • how dare suicide machines write a song that wasnt the same as most of their other songs. get a dog and maybe u will get it :D
