yes she did. sad to say the concert wasnt shown on tv ( MAXIMEDIA was the producer ) for others who were not there at the PICC to witness the collaboration of 2 great artists . the concert review i have read said that it was a glorious moment for pop diva KUH LEDESMA to shine on stage with a great master like Michel Legrand.
Kuh is not only drop dead gorgeous but she has an immense talent as an artist. her voice range alto to soprano with a wide rage & could sustain high notes. She delivers songs with the deepest emotions. She is not the ultimate Diva of all the Divas for nothing. Amen.
She also sang this in "Love Songs & Violin". I love love love her repertoire at that Valentines concert (1985). In particular, Sondheim's "Not A Day Goes By", sung moments after she just declared "Down with Love".
i think this is one of the favorite MICHEL LEGRAND composition by KUH. she had sang this so many times both live and even in her BY SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT tv specials. i believe she also performed this song in her concert with the legendary MICHEL LEGRAND at the PICC last February 2002.
@tvmoviebuzz67 Love Songs and Violins was an exquisite concert!!! I wish we can see it on youtube. I will never forget her FLAWLESS versions of An Affair To Remember, Unforgettable, As Time Goes By and My Funny Valentine. But her version of Down With Love was not perfect. However, in her Mandarin concert, Down With Love was done perfectly. Kuh is the best!
