Hey Al, I have a couple of questions, Do you consider yourself a classy guy? Do you like to drink liquor while smoking? Do you like old big band type music and jazz including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc...
Thompson is shit!!! Tired of the multiple phone calls forcing me to listen to the annoying sales reps!!!! Also, What the fuck is up with them replacing a cigar that is out of stock with a equal valued one? Why not just advertise on the site that it is out of stock? Cause they want your money!!!!! Shit.
Thompson has never been anything but kind and helpful to me. No unnecessary phone calls, everything I ordered in great condition and of superior quality, and I don't mind having them replace an OOS cisgar with another. Gives me a chance to try something new, in a lot of cases. Never had a problem with Thompson, and I hope to do business with them for a very long time.
@BigSwitz98 I agree on most of the points. I have never had bad service from Thompson, over the phone or in the outlet store here in Tampa. What i do find odd is the quality of their in house brand of cigars. They are mostly poor quality smokes.
@BigSwitz98 I have been getting phone calls from them. I emailed Thompson and asked them to take me off their list. I still ended up getting another call from them. I was reading about other people getting pestered by them. So far I am pleased the sampler I purchased and might buy from them again. But I could do without them calling me.

I guess I'm in the minority... this Al Remp guy drives me nuts and is NOT very knowledgeable. Just because he's old doesn't mean he knows what he's talking about. BTW... he had to delete his video on plume when he showed the world that MOLD was "just delicious!" LOL! No wonder he works for Th@%#son now (won't even utter that horrible company name). Enjoy, I guess!
Al my dad has a big box of sigars the box has his name on it and the sigars has his name on them but he has never touched them and he is a smoker wy do you think he never touches them sory my speling good video
@yoda109 i dont smoke myself but look to get into it, id say get a pipe and puff on that along with a few good cigars for when you do have those golden hours to smoke one, like $50 will get u everything u need for a good pipe and pipe tobacco is really really cheap but really good, although some argue premium cigars are better than the best pipe tobacco, its all about what you want really. with a pipe you can light it up and let it go when u want
I went to a shop and asked about mild cigars and the guy new nothing about Cigars. They had 1 shelf similar to the one in the video. I ended up with a couple of Punch Cigars and it was ok but harsh.
Al is really a great salesman. You can tell that he really enjoys what he is doing. I enjoy all of his videos from Thompson Cigar. I am also a customer of theirs and have bought cigars from them and other cigar stores for many years.
I'm a pipe smoker and am thinking of trying a cigar. Now I do have a question about the tobacco of the cigars. Are the tobaccos of the cigars similar to the tobaccos of pipes? What I mean is, are the tobaccos like the Virginia's, Burley's, Cavendish, Latakia, Perique etc. of the pipe world? I prefer the Virginia's, Burley's and Cavendish's in pipe tobacco.
What a great video and indeed all shops are friendly. Dealt with some and the level of support is outstanding. Subscribed to thompsoncigar as educational and very well explained.
Im going to Mexico in a few months. As a rather new cigar afficianado, I assume that since the US dollar is worth about 12.25X as much down there that a gentleman like myself could score quite a few authentic Cubans for pennys on the barrel? I want to travel just across the border to find a licensed cigar shop that is close. (I dont think Mexico is all that safe at the present time) Any suggestions? I figure with the currency converter I can get a $20 Cohiba for about $2 US.
No one can blow smoke up my ass ,I can buy Don Rafael from Cigars International for 50 cigars i pay $69.95 Thompson Cigars gets $62 for 25 of the same cigar.
I'm really enjoying these videos. I'm a long-time cigar aficionado but finding all the videos a nice, refreshing overview of the subject. Keep them up!
Man you are one cool dude.

@cjsugden09 to save it for later you can use a cutter to cut the burning end perserving the rest of the cigar as well as the flavor

In the limited experience I have as a cigar smoker and with Thompson, I haven't yet sampled their in-house stuff. Thanks for the tip, though.
