This song makes me weep each time I hear it. It also humbles me to think that I am so human that I would not forgive someone who has hurt me. If I am not willing to forgive, then what makes me think that I deserve to cry out for mercy when I have wronged another? We are all human, and no matter how hard we try, none of us deserves the sacrifice our wonderful Father made for us! We are all sinners and have somewhere along the line hurt another. Father, help me to be merciful to others.

Thank you for posting. This is such a great and honest song. God forgives. It is Satan that keeps wagging his finger in our faces and saying we are not worthy. After many years I have learned to say, "you are right. I am not worthy. But, through Christ, I am. Because I believe He took my sins to the cross, I am worthy." Thank you, Oh my Father.
God is so good and forgiving. If we ask for forgiveness and leave it in His hands then there is nothing to worry about. It is our human nature to punish ourselves over and over. That is satan, he wants us to believe that we are unworthy of mercy, he is a liar. Jesus died for us and wants us to be with Him. I know it is hard to forget certain things, been there done that, we don't have to live like that. Jesus is medicine to the wounded soul.

But then there are these denominations or alternate religions that believe a doctrine, although the bible says otherwise, but as usual, man will trust in himself, and no one wants to put flesh down, so they go, "OK, let's customize our own bible that lets us do what we want., and then we can do it, and pretend we are right with god" I will pray for the followers of this Zoroastrianism.

What other God is so forgiving? Why do people preach fire, brimstone, and crushing condemnation instead of this? He came to tell us the facts, if we don't choose to believe, we will seperated for all eternity (after we die). But if we do believe, our transgressions will be forgiven time and time again; literally. Why? Because the Father loves us deeply. Jesus' sacrifice allowed our sins to forgiven. He died out of love so each person can have a free choice. He died so we can be forgiven.
No more comfort and peace can be experienced than the gift of God's love in a song, and this song is the most comforting and reassuring I have ever heard. Praise the Lord!
Tonight, for our final revival service, the subject of our sermon was forgiving ourselves. During this service a woman sang this song and I don't believe there was a dry eye in the church. God is good...so loving...what a wonderful Father who forgives and forgets as soon as we ask. Praise our Almighty Heavenly Father for His grace!
