  • @roughneckasian if it works with arginine why won't it work for glutamine???

  • @roughneckasian scientist try to suggest that having a flood of a certain amino acid influences it's use in the body. For example, arginine increases n o levels and increases vasodilation.

  • I agree with you on not being able to eat all of that meat per day as its hard on the gut. But does using whey throughout the day as meat replacements for some meals a good thing. How many times per day can one take whey? Does it absorb efficiently?

  • I thought multivitamins had all the vitamin B and C that I need. Guess I was wrong

  • elite vs optinum whey protein

  • any thoughts on force factor?

  • I'm surprised; why don't you use creatine or nitric oxide? I thought these were some of the staples of muscle building. Also it would be nice to know which whey protein you use, and whether you recommend caesin/whey blends or just pure whey.

  • Hey Tuan,

Just curious, what brand of whey protein do you use? I'm using Optimum Nutrition's Platinum Hydro Whey right now but I'm not sure as to which brand (or even particular type from Optimum Nutrition) works best. In addition, when do you generally consume whey?

I'm also using Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard Casein right before I go to bed because its long digestive time allegedly makes it an ideal form of protein while sleeping. What are your thoughts on Casein?

    Thanks man!

  • Hey tuan do you take creatine?

  • Hi!Fast question, the right on of the proteins is that what you use for snacks? Is that slow protein or is just another form of whey fast absorbing protein like whey gold from ON I allready have that one from ON=). • This seems like a good video, but I honestly got a headache 2 min in from the crappy sound, can't watch the rest. Too bad.

  • roids ??

  • SON GOKU

  • def. taking those to whey proteins now

  • No creatine glutamine or waxy maize ? or pre workouts ?

  • @benfoley83 again, these are the supplements I use year round. but out of the ones you have posted, I never use waxy mazie or glutamine.

  • @roughneckasian

Tuan, I just wonder, why use no glutamine? What I personally have read, glutamine does not really add much to the supplement-pack for muscle growth, recovery or strength. I see more and more studies coming out glutamine doesn't do jack and that leucine for instance, DOES have beneficial effect on protein synthesis etc. Is that the reason you're not using it?

  • @roughneckasian can you say why no glutamine or waxy maize. I would assume its because studies are inconclusive to their benefits

  • @benfoley83 yes, both items under peer reviews from non-bias sources found these supplements to be inconclusive Also, I love eating carbs like rice, fruits, pastas, potatoes...etc. Why would I want to replace that with crappy tasting waxy maize. If you want quick absorbtion of carbs, just look at the glycemic index and have carbs that have a very high score. Plus, the carbs that score very high on the glycemic index usually taste really good.

  • @roughneckasian hi taun...what is the best protien for muscle increasing?

  • @benfoley83 as for glutamine, here are some natural sources.Dietary sources of glutamine include plant and animal proteins such as beef, pork and poultry, milk, yogurt, ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, raw spinach, raw parsley, and cabbage. People with kidney disease, liver disease, or Reye syndrome (a rare, sometimes fatal disease of childhood that is generally associated with aspirin use) should not take glutamine supplements.

  • @roughneckasian Thanks Tuan, awesome advice as usuall

  • @roughneckasian food sources are not as biologically available as free amino acids such as glutamine or BCAAs.

  • @Favre1013 the only different is the ration for any gram of animal protein breaks down into all the 21 essentail and not essentail aminos. So you will get glutamine or BCAA's. Supplements just isolate these aminos for they are more related to muscle repair and muscle growth.

  • @roughneckasian I have heard that they have found heavy elements and other carcinogens in most of the nonorganic whey protein powders. The only problem the typical organic whey protein powder costs like $40 for 10 days worth. Do you know of any cheap organic whey protein powders that will provide enough for a long time?

  • @Jshect very true. alot of these supplement companies do not have their own protein factories and by else where. To say some money, they will the container withou 95% whey, and 5% "other stuff" Dymatize and ON are 2 brands that have their own factories and as for testing and scoring did the best and 99% of theirs was whey. Hope this helps

  • @roughneckasian I am not as concerned about whether the product has 95% whey or 99% whey as I am whether they have high levels of arsenic, cadmium or lead. Search google: consumer reports whey protein arsenic. Consumer Reports is doing what the damn FDA should be doing and testing these supplements. It may not be noticeable right away but if you are using a whey protein supplement that has arsenic in it for years it could have devastating effects on your body. That's why I am looking organic

  • @roughneckasian why do you say people with liver/kidney diseases should not take glutamine?

  • @benfoley83 if you actually research waxy maize you will find studies prooving it doesn't work and why, also you will not find a studdy that proove it does work.

  • @IDMWEIGHTSIDM are those typos or are you bad at spelling? I am not sure what you mean by not working because I would be just taking it as a source of quick digesting carbs for post workout, when I am short on time and real food ( high of the GI index) isn't available. What exactly do you mean by doesn't work?

  • @benfoley83 you can find glutame in protein

  • vitamins, protein, creatine, glutamine, and protein thats all you need.(period) Of course you have to exercise AND eat sensible AND work out.(period) like Tuan said supplements only help you to get there a little faster.

  • lmao i loved how u used the cardio poster of zombie land haha nice sense of humor great vid btw and thanks much appreciated

  • @ihateyaacov You stupid, he's bloodtested and he's in Natural bodybuilding contests.

  • @FredtheAsian i may be stupid but i wear glasses so cuk on that

  • @FredtheAsian so is jay cutler and lee priest but r u calling them natural?

  • @ihateyaacov Well i dont really give a shit weather you beleive him or not he won R.E.A.L bodybuilding Drug Free Federation... Jay is in another category... check out his other vids.

  • @ihateyaacov Jay and Lee aren't in Drug free comps just incase you think so..

  • @ihateyaacov ololol

  • @ihateyaacov So if a police officer came up to you and arrested you just because you "looked like" a rapist or someone who would molest children vs. having any proof and facts, would that be ok? I guess so considering the comment you made towards me. I will let my videos and actions speak for me whether I am drug free or not. Either way, I hope that people do not profile you in a neg. way or accuse you of something that you are not just because of your appearance.

  • @ihateyaacov

If he'd be on steroids, he'd have like 20-21" arms after all his years of training and he'd not be really able to compete at all the natural competitions.

  • @ihateyaacov i know its hard for you to achieve a body like tuan, but that doesnt mean hes on steroids..

  • @ihateyaacov ohhhhhhh my God jealouse person

  • i'm shocked that you did not mention creatine.

  • Recommended daily sodium amount is 2400mg. Sodium is found in lots of meats like hams, chicken, beef, etc. A number of bodybuilding guys I know go over 3000mg of sodium each daily (mainly from eating meat) but they say its ok cause they exercise 6-7 days a week. Is that healthy to go over 2400mg of sodium? Do you go over the 2400mg/day?

  • Hi doggy in the background. Oh have you tried L carnetine and CLA?

  • Tuan's the real deal, he explains everything with great details . Great information bro!

    God bless!

  • thanks for the vid Tuan very informative

  • Good stuff Tuan. I just finish making a video on why drinking water is important. Keep doing what you do Tuan Because you are an inspiration to me.

  • Thanks Tuan, this was quite insightful.

  • Wow bro, greatest body of em all! great diet man, i'll be trying to take the same supplements, and i already workout 1h30-2h a day 6/7, you're my fav bodybuilder! Tho i'd liek to know if Creatine is still considered natural or? Thanks in advance for anyone that can anwser! thank you.!

  • @FredtheAsian you can find creatine naturally already in your body. Creatine is found in meats and other sources of foods that people already eat, however, the amount of creatine in meat is pretty low. Creatine is 100% natural and great to use if used properly. hope that helped

  • @Jordan121214 Makes sense, thank you very much lol, i just wasnt too sure you know =]

  • @FredtheAsian Creatine is natural...they can be found in red meat

  • u spelt thoughts wrong at end of video :P

  • @ihateyaacov

    you spelled spelt wrong :p

  • @heat4yoass Nope, spelt is indeed a word, traditional English braah!

  • @lordofultima
