Traffickers pay them 1.25 dollar each. Traffickers sell them for 195 dollars each to the distributors. Then they sell them for almost 400 dollars. Exotic pets market is like white slave traffic.
@seisdecorazones I have an African Pygmy hedgehog and a corn snake. I'm not sure where the "traffickers" come into it. You'll find that the majority of exotic pets in the UK and the states are bred in domestic environments.
My hedgehog is completely domesticated. If put outside or given bugs/berries from the garden he would die. He's friendly with us, well fed and loves to cuddle. You obviously don't know enough about exotic pets to make a rational judgement.
