The city of Rome was sacked/fell, but Roman philosophy never fell; it lives on in Western civilization. Here's a concept for consideration: it may be said that WE (U.S.) are Rome! The inferences are strong.
Yes, of course, but the roman empire never was agree to join to the religion(political administration), in fact we say all the couse of the ending of the empire was definitly by Constantin and for many couses, like desease, low of motivation by the population as no interest to join to the legions. it was so many kinds of problems of destruction. no fair for ending of ones of the prettiest empires ever seen.
In addition, the Roman political establishment did not really adhere to the Christian religion's precepts, nor did it, as would have been recommended by the Church in the interests of the Empire's self-defense and the respect of Imperial authority, undertake vigilant and tactful steps towards ensuring its long-term viability in the face of growing numbers of outsiders.
Maybe, maybe not. Many of the barbarians at the time of Rome's fall were Christians as well. Not to mention the fact that Imperial Rome in its latter years, despite unification under Constantine, was always threatened by numerous individuals vying for power as the next emperor, as Rome never had a set method of succession.
There were many late changes in the Roman Empire prior to its fall in addition to the legalization of Christianity that contributed to its weaknesses.
