Betty remains one of the greatest heavy albums out there. Danyerd is a fucking idiot. Period. Page Hamilton is God. Helmet did for nu metal what Iron maiden did for Metallica. Showed them the way. and thats that.

I never thought of Helmet as Nu Metal! I could say Alt metal but never nu Metal in any sense of the phrase. I think you are mixing genres because some Nu metal bands were Alt Metal. Helmet is a Post Hardcore/Alt Metal fusion more similar to the band Quicksand than Korn. Nu metal was always used in a pejorative sense in my circle and Helmet would not be included with those commercial wannabes. Yes I wore my "Death to nu Metal" shirt proudly in the day!
