  • @user00975318642 you dumb as a mutha fucker. So what Rosie Perez is Puerto Rican everyone knows that. What complexion is she? She is not white so what is her skin color? The ones in the video that are mixed what is their skin color? Stop making fucking excuses because someone is mixed. The video is clearly stating a skin color or complexion.

  • aww after brownskin i was hoping BLACK!!

    whoopi goldberg lol

  • @niddasa i DON'T KNOW WHY THESE FUCKERS THINK THEY ARE gOD'S GIFT TO EARTH, Please white people you have your land we have ours. Quit fucking with us man seriously!

  • @niddasa You're missing the point bro.

  • Why are people still talking about slavery? like god damn..And light skin is way prettier ex. halle berry, beyonce. but dark skin people are ugly af exp. fantasia ect Lol sorry xD just comeing from a white person who tans Lol xD kthxbye

  • basically everyone in in "light brown skin", is light skin. this whole video is ignorant. the only part the isn't is the slavery part. but, ALL skin tones are beautiful in their own right.

  • halle berry is clearly light skin..

  • @KCALism I agree some people say people like Lauren London are brown, and only people like Drake Sinbad Tisha Campbell (Gina from Martin) Cory Gunz and Kid from Kid and Play are light skin, but that's just not the truth that's like saying you have to be Yao Ming's height to be considered tall. Lauren London is light skin so is Beyonce!

  • 2:14...she's fairly orange

  • Bychance37-If u think of it as BULLSHIT, as u refer 2 it, then Y r u even cheking the site out? I don't understand!lol. The title of this site, clearly states what it's about-"Light vs Dark" Do u really think it's BULLSHIT, or do u think that if it is not in ur perspective of things, it's BULLSHIT? Because u did check the site out! Which one is it, by chance?

  • @charlene12341234 I looked at it because I can't believe it's still an issue and I voiced that. Why do you have a problem with that? I don't think it makes a difference, beauty is beauty, light, dark, in between. beauty is beauty.

  • @Bychance37 -true enogh! Beauty is Beauty, but do not be so gulible to think that it is not an issue. 1rst of all when I talk of skin variance, I speak of it from an artistic point of view-not from an ignorant view of one is better than the other.Things make a tremendous difference; just because you choose to flush it down the toilet does not make you smarter than anyone else, because u r just patranizing what sounds right but not reality!

  • @charlene12341234 Why are you still posting to me about this? The last time I posted was 2 months ago!!! Seriously are you looking for an argument? If you want to chit chat then pick another subject, this is one we don't agree on. I'm not being patronizing, it's how I actually feel. Get over it, I have.

  • Bychance37-u let it go-let the negativity of taking the variances of tone b an insult 2 u. u let it go-skin tone is an art. Telling others that they need 2 "let it go" because of ur negative thinking about it is wrong. u let it go, and start respecting others for the acknowledgements of their variances! Respect others differences-everyone is NOT ALL THE SAME. So, u "LET IT GO"!

  • @KCALism -Bitch, I am not "tryann" sound deep. I could careless about "trynna" do anything. I do it-not try! u r the one that sound stupid by telling me what I am " trynna" do or sound. I was simply stating the truth-a side that u have not considered, because u r too fucking stupid! NOW.

  • @KCALism -It's not about skin tones being clarified! u r the dum one. It is about us as a people accepting these variances. Like I've said b4-light can be taken to mean light brown-tone is something a person can waiver. The vid was made to generalize, not to clarify-dum ass!

  • and the point of this video was??? what makes you an expert on whats light and dark??

  • @AllEyez205 -No one was trying 2 b an expert- it was generalized- not clarified! It's sad that u can't comprehend that this is what the vid was doing!

  • @charlene12341234

No your video clearly said if this is your color than you are this not that...so that seems like a clarification not a generalization

  • @AllEyez205 -It still meant as a generalization of us Dark Claiming to be light. u can waiver it how u want-don't take it so serious!

  • Start addressing these variances to skin tone to the other races. Or stop arguing amoungst each other about our variances. When Whitey steps in the room, evry one wants to chet up then! Yet we pit on each other about an issue that we only had SOME involvement in. These light skinned indis. had another race involved in their existance.Even dark skinned indi.s have various tones with other dark races in which were responsible for their being. So we r deffinately not all THE SAME.

  • Instead of arguing with one another-about skin tones-start holding the indi.s who are responsible for us being varied-like a white man who leaves a blk women with kids but not financial responsibility to those kids that he laid down & had with her. I realize that blk men do the same. Nevertheless, we are talking about the various tones & all the confusion that it brings to us as a race of blk people. These various tones involve other races! not just dark blks.

  • White MAN ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR HIGH YELLOWS!

  • but does not want 2 acknowledge future responsibility to his kids bcause they are "contaminated" with blk, as how he is viewing this alot of times. Well these wht. indis. need to acknowledge their 1/2 black children!lol We are not all the same.

  • The white man does not want to EMBRACE VARIANCE bcause he does not want it 2 REFLECT back on him that he had something to do with this variance in blacks-so he wants u to be dumb, thinking we r all the same: BLACK- nothing else. Well, this may work for u real dark skinned indi. but u have to realize- all blacks are not all black. Mr. whitey had something to do with that fact. This needs to be acknowledged when a white man, especially lays with a black women, but

  • to all u stupid people who think skin tone variance is not a beautiful thing within our race. We need 2 b eduacated on the difference variances of skin tone that claim our race as blk ameriacans-& be familiar with the various linnages which create those variances-instead of saying that it does not matter- the wht people don't say that about their various linnages. They embrace it! Y can't we learn 2 do the same. We are not all the same. Blk people stem from variances! Embrace this DIFFERENCE.

  • @KCALism vid was made to establish skin tone ACURACY? my ur dum! This vid was to clarify tone, but most of all to say that we should love each other FOR OUR VARIANCES. Not try 2 correct what skin tone we are. Think of the big picture! This vid was not made in blood or a bible for skin tone acuracy-but to deliver the message that blk is beautiful for it's variances! My!

  • there's a lot of high yellow women who were left out-Kristina DeBarge-Zoe Kravits- which is Lisa Bonet's daughter. Lisa Bonet is suffering from Anirexia. Alot of high yellow women get tans. Originally, they were high yellow-but got a tan to tone their skin. So take this in consideration. Another thing light skinned can mean light brown, not just high yellow. It's all in the indi's preference N what they chose 2 call themselves. I'm not an adamant about arguing over somethg. so trivial as that.

  • Ive been waiting 4 a vid like this 4 a long time. This vid puts all the confusion N2 perspective. If it does not, it should. What a beautiful message at the end!

  • aare the people of india originally white?

  • why does everyone say beyonce is Lightskinn but u say she isnt? and i see usually people mix Lightbrown skinn and lightskined people together... Lightskin is light brown skin! IMO

  • Actually white people don't care if you're light or dark, black is black to them. Only people of color care about that bullshyt. Colorism is a huge problem and for those like me that couldn't care less, stop projecting how you feel about yourself on me. I wake up and look out of my eyes like everyone else. Skin color doesn't factor into that at all. People that need to feel superior or inferior have issues and need to complain or brag for whatever reason and need to be ignored at all costs.

  • @Bychance37 -I hate sht like this. Ain't a dam thing wrong with acknowledgeing variances of skin tone-It's an ART- just in case u were not aware of it! A person's interest N their linnage of variance should not be based on how the fact that the white man "could care less" the white man could care less because he is not the 1 waliking around with the various skin shades- this is something 4 blks 2 embrace-not c it as a problem!lol

  • @charlene12341234 I hate shit like this myself, a person that reads yet has no understanding. What I'm saying is skin tone doesn't matter at all. It's a tool that people use to uplift or degrade depending on skin tone. Yet will blame the opposite skin tone for how they themselves feel about THEMSELVES. Not all light skinned people feel superior and not all dark skinned people feel inferiror or vice versa. It's 2011 when are peopel going to get over this silly BS? And yeah I think it's BULLSHIT!

  • @Bychance37 -ur wrong- skin tone does matter- it should not B taken as "being an insult to u" unless u r insecure within urself. u take this vid as one that should not matter. This is ur misinterpretation of the vid. This vid was use to reveal the various shades of black; to generalize the beauty of the variances-not to degrade u. Stop feeling so insecure and start objecting N a Positive light of conveyance.

  • @charlene12341234 I have heard light skin/dark skin comparisons all my life. My mother's best friend who was dark would call us yellow bitches when we were growing up and pretended to be joking. I knew she really felt that way. A good friend of mine use to call me pink, say that most BM would go for me because I was light and deep down I could tell she disliked me for it. But it's not true, if I were stupid enough to believe it then I would be a mess. I'm just tired of it, wish it was done.

  • @Bychance37 Not true white people care a lot about you being light skin.

  • @keezydadon That's not my experience. Even if mixed they see you as black, not that I'm mixed.

I do understand what you're saying though but I think with them it's more about race than skin tone. Just my opinion. It annoys me when people assume you think you're all that because you're light, instead of what they really think about themselves because they're dark. That's what it boils down to, self esteem. I know dark skinned women and you can't tell them they aren't beautiful, I admire that.

  • A lot of the people in this video are actually BIRACIAL lol

  • I think Med Brown Skin blacks have the best color. Light skin black age so bad! Look at Jasmine Guy and Lisa Bonet! They look horrable now. They need .some botox

  • @nickelwindow53 you mean horrible.

  • @8090musicify Yesss! They look so bad now.

  • @nickelwindow53 Their both Bi-Racial though.

  • @keezydadon why do mixed chicks age so bad

  • @nickelwindow53 Lamo idk im not a mixed chick, and only mixed chick in my family is only 2 so i doubt she knows anything abut aging lol.

  • @nickelwindow53 She's half, isnt she?

  • mariah carey is black??? it did not show. AT ALL. lol

  • @MrJNO123 You can tell Mariah Carey is mixed with some black but she looks mostly white!

  • mariah carey is black???

  • @musiclover77able Light skin people and biracials have ALOT IN COMMON. 1) not black 2) yellow skin THAT SHOULD TELL YOUR STUPID ASS. light skin people ALWAYS SAY, my grandmother is (put non-black race here). they may not be as immediately mixed as ALICIA KEYS, who has a white mother, but they have people in their family who ARE NOT BLACK. this explains the LIGHT SKIN CHILD AND THE DARK SKIN CHILD. LIGHT SKIN IS CLOSER TO WHITE!! sorry to OPEN UP REALITY TO YOU BITCH!! look it up

  • @AllthingsSweet22 What's this "more close to white" nonsense talk?

  • @musiclover77able ok, LET ME EDUCATE YOU, GUTs. Before the WHITE MEN AND THE OTHER RACES LIKE ARABS CAME TO AFRICA, black people were BLACK AS COAL AND CARAMEL. NO other color existed originally. When the mixing began YELLOW SKIN CAME ABOUT. THE BUSHMEN OF SOUTH AFRICA (look them up) are the ONLY ORIGINAL LIGHT TRIBE and they are CARAMEL, not YELLOW. BIRACIAL IS NOT BLACK YOU DUMB GHETTO HOE. OBAMA'S MOTHER IS A WHITE GIRL!! light skin PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE MIXED BY GENERATIONS.

  • You got mental problems!! You're a woman, ain't ya!

  • Always be positive about your race folks! We need to stand united, work hard and be proud of who we are. We blacks are a blessed race. Always be positive!! Its not what other races say about us that counts, its what God has says about us. Not even Jesus has condemned us so we must stand united and courageously develop ourselves. Creating a new kind race because you dont want to be called black is because you agree to the media stereotypes splashed on you.

  • The main reason why many light skinned Blacks dont like referring to themselves as black is because they have no confidence in themselves as black. The same white folks who you guys want to associate with or look like teaches that the black race is the least intelligent and closer to chimps than any other race -wiki-...So if the white man tells you that you look stupid why dont you be proud of your race by being part of it, developing it instead of running away from it to join the white folks?

  • Even if God changed my skin tone to white I will always refer to myself as African American or black. Most light skninned blacks (including many ridiculous indians and sri lankans who confusely refer to themselves as caucasians) are ashamed of themselves as black even though many of them are very dark. These people want to associate with a race that have no regards for them. What the white man says about my race is not what matters for me. I believe blacks are blessed. God bless u all.

  • I am PROUD to be lightskinned. I am NOT black though but I am proud of my light skinned. For those ashamed if you hate yourselves, the FEELING is mutual ROFL

  • all skin tones are ugly

  • @SpicyHam lol lol lol

  • Thanks for the video, I got the point, and it needed to be said. but I have to disagree that black people are broken down into 4 categories of shades. This is wrong, and if you really think that house slaves had it as bad as field slaves, you just might be delusional. More research is needed when recounting chattel slavery in America on your part. But if you want to see how many shades black women come in, go to Makeup Forever's site and look at the shades of foundation. You may be surprised!

  • good video

  • Am I the only one who thought this video kept getting better and better as it went on?

  • @that1prince Very sly insult.

  • The ones you listed as "Medium Brownskin" should of went in the "Caramel" section.

  • Most of these girls aren't "black".

  • VERY WELL SAID... THANK YOU...

  • hey everyone stop hating on each other.........now let me make a video classifying and creating divides between you based on skin color and i will be the judge. who is this jerk that made this video?

  • It's the 21st fucking century for crying out loud. Can't we finally evolve beyond this? Blacks are like a dysfunctional family. I thought this clip was gonna be a celebration of different skin tones, not some bullshit "reality check" on people who want to be lighter than they actually are.

  • im dark skin & proud

  • Why is there a need to tell women of one shade that they are not as light as they think? What is the goal here? To put people in their place? Then what?

  • mariah carey and alicia keys are not black. they are mixed. 1/2 black, 1/2 white. that is NOT black, i don't care what the one-drop rule says.

  • Great video and who cares at the end of the day were all black.

  • @BrazilianBeauty18 What would help to dampen the color issue, I think, would be to stop using a color as an ethnic identifier. And, I know about African American but another type is needed -- an alternate short hand term is needed here.

  • wtf...

  • OMG THANKYOU HAHA BEFORE I WAS CONFUSED ON HOW I LOOKED AND NOW I NO IM LIGHTBROWN WITH A LITTLE TINT OF RED I GUESS AND I JUST GOT A TSAN TOO LOL

  • If your mixed does it count as you being light skinned yea yu hav light skin but still . .

  • "Lightskin" is NOT A FUCKING WORD.

    It's "LIGHT SKINNED".

    LIGHT.

    SKINNED.

    GET IT? GOOD!

    :)

  • very nice video, i am glad you posted this video. however, lately, there is a lot of self hate videos and other videos about this creole nonsense is dividing the people. thank you for clearing this up. i was shock and happy to see your video that embraces all of the sisters; you are moving in the right direction.

  • Makes me laugh when black people call themselves 'LIGHT SKIN' because they hate their skin colour :PP

  • light skin people came from dark skin bcause the slave masters would rape then slave woman who were dark they all came from africa then they had babies who were mix thats ho they were lightskin then another slavemaster would rape that generation thats how lght skin mutliplied

  • @NORDI504 The slave master raped coal black Africans & produced mid-brown people like Halle Berry or Tia Mowry. The rapists then attack the brown women & produced light tan\near white people like Mariah Carey or Persia White. And, eventually the white slaves who gave us the Civil War were produced. . . . . Today, there may be several million whites with black ancestry.

  • @afro747

Um wtf are you talking about? Mariah Carey's mother is Irish, and Alicia Key's mom is Scottish/Irish.

  • @SoftWhisperss I don't mean Mariah personally but symbolically. I know Mariah is of a more recent mixture.

  • you balck?

  • nice vidoe. yes, those women were all beautiful. thx for posting.

    what color are YOU? syke.

    ;)

  • some of the girls should have been labled other colors. For example Keisha Cole is caramel she bleached herself(look @ old photos) Also, Halle Berry is light if she doesnt tan. I do think that some people look light when they are caramel or light brown it depends on who it is.

  • @blackspaniard1025

Yeah, I agree with you that some of the girls were labeled incorrectly. Stacey Dash is lighter than the photo they had in the video. Keisha Cole's beautiful skin has a richer tone than Stacey's. ;) The different shades of cocoa....mmmmmmm.

  • the lightskin people in this video arent even black, cmon, mariah carey? she only bout 10 percent black. and the others arent black either they got a white parent.

  • Ciara is caramel not mid town

  • Some people are silly. This video is directed at black people.

The lightskin people are people considered as black but they are lightskin black.

Lightskin people are not white people they are lightskin

    White people are white people..

Black people are bacl people but there is ALOT of different types of black, but only one type of white. Sure white people tan, but they are still white

  • @Referral123 agree with you, white people they are just white there isn't no difference between there skin tone but with black people we can se a lot of differences like you said lighter.medium,caramel.black ect...

  • @Referral123 Not necessarily. I've seen whites who are whiter than white (porcelain pale). In fact there are make-up for such skin tones (porcelain pale, pale, ivory, translucent.. etc). To say there is only one shade of white (or as you put it "only one type of white") is pure ignorance. Visit Europe sometime. :) With that said, you're right people are silly lightskin isn't describing a race just a skin tone. Peace.

  • @LadyBludgeon I'm from Norway. Have porcelain white skin myself along with Blue eyes and blonde hair. Dont tell me I'm wrong. Maybe you should visit any Northen European country because all the people who dont use fake tan look the same to me

  • @Referral123 I've visited some of the northern nations of Europe and have seen slight differences in the tones especially when you go from Iceland to the tips of Russia... there are differences amongst the Caucasian population. Maybe because I majored in Art so I see even the slightest of differences in shade and color. :) Anyways thanks for replying kindly and peace.

  • @LadyBludgeon Russians are darker. As are Fins but only slightly.

I find Irish people to be very pale too. Then English people tend to be darker but I think that only has to do with where the roots of those nations come from

  • really gudd im glad u set the record st8 only tging is alot of the light brown and carmel looked to be about the same

  • but alot of the light skin black women in this video are biracial do they really count?

  • FINALLY, someone who knows what the fuck light skin is! People act so fucking retarded like they don't have a brain! They think anything that isn't jet black is light skin! I have heard people go as far as calling Ciara, who is clearly medium brown... LIGHT SKIN! WTF? Light skin means a very light person, someone nearly white, olive, or pale in complexion! A light brown person is caramel, and in the medium catagory... someone darker than medium brown, who's chocolate or dark brown, is dark skin!

  • I am considered light skin or light brown or however you color experts want to define me LOL. anyway my point is every woman that was shown in this video is considered dark when they stand against a white person. So light skin has a different meaning in the black race. every last woman on the video was beautiful so why are we focused on what color and shade they are. Wow that's crazy!

  • @prettichica -so, we should base our acknowledgements of our variances based on how the white people love placing us all in bucket so that he can escape the responsibility of acknowledging the light children who he is responsible 4 bringing N2 this world, by saying "they are all the same in every way" ? u don't like being respected 4 ur difference & knowing ur exact linnage? u think it doesn't matter? how crazy is that? very! lol

  • @JAYLOVE477

I thought you said in your video that ummmmm you respected other people's opinions? Why resort to name calling?

  • leona lewis is light skinned and beyonce is not that light i would say shes caramel not light skinned my mom is white and my dad is black and when your mixed your skin has a different hue but it still kinda brown but i still have a pink pigment in my skin like my moms i think everyone is beautiful and you can call yourself what you want and be what you want as long as you aren't hurting anyone

  • I don't think so. Don't come to this video and say stuff like " White race is the best" this is a black video. But it's ur opinion. Just like I would say Black race is the best cuz i truly think it is. I know there is some people that commented here can agree with me.

  • @asd2wvacbuw

Don't feed the trolls. There are plenty of "Aryan" videos out there and I am NEVER compelled to make comments on videos not AT ALL pertaining to me. Why do a member of that Klan feel compelled to make comments here...I do not know. Anyway, all people of different skin tones are BEAUTIFUL. I absolutely love the variations..and it's like a sweet scented garden...love it!

  • @SoftWhisperss Me too! All shades & colors a beautiful..... Dumb ppl that say stupid stuff. They think its funny. Why would u come to a vid & say something negative about it..... Dont come to it at all if ya dont like....

  • @Scream1711; you're entitled to your opinion

  • @Scream1711: TROLL BE GONE !!!!!!!!!

  • The irony. Your trying to tell people what skin color the are and what they should think. Of themselves and their heritage.

The problem with some of this persons categorization, is that he/she does not realize lite skinned people can tan. Look at a video of me from summer and I look 2 or three shades darker than I do in my latest two video's.

One more thing, not all lite skinned people got that way because of slavery (i.e. Barrack Obama who's white mother had him in the 1960's not 1860's

  • you can be whatever you wan't to be in your own little head.

  • Leona Lewis is far from brownskin caramel you need to c her video run, my girl almost looks white, you mixed up a lot of people in the wrong categories.

  • @XXQueenLHMXX245 That was the lighting in the video, Leona Lewis is brown skin, look at the "Ride" video and how light skin she look's.There is a picture with Rihhanah Kanye West and Leona Lewis shes a noticeable amount darker than Rihhanah. And there was a picture of Beyonce Keyisha Cole Rihhanah Ciara Leona Lewis Miley Cyrus Ashanti and some other female celebrities and she was darker than Beyonce Keyisha Cole and Rihhanah.

  • Everybody in this video is BROWN, even the real "light" ones!

  • @Venustarr Thank You! It is different shades of fucking brown, wtf.

  • They are still all black people LOL

    Asians admit to being asians

    Arabs admit to being Arabs

    Whites the same thing

    Hispanics

    Latinos

Blacks hmmm why cant they just admit to being black since whites refer to all of them as black why do they have to go through complicated terms by calling themselves mixed, caramel (where the heck did caramel come from anyway),light skinned, biracial. It means that most blacks just dont agree that there are different degrees of black...

  • Even though there are different tones of black why dont they just say they are black to make it simple instead of bringing complicated muddled up terms.

Very soon there will be a "chicken black race". You guys should e proud of yourselves. there are different kind of people in every race.. There are different varieties of asians but you dont hear an asian call himself biracial or mixed which would actually mean the asian doesnt really want to be called an asian. Be proud of your race folks.

  • Thats why a lot of whites folks think blacks are not united or maybe they hate themselves because a lot of black folks do not admit being black. They create new word terms to call themselves. words that arent exactly black or even black related as to disassociate themselves from blacks making it look like blacks dont agree with themselves or stand united.. While other races appear to be directly sincere..

  • the problem is also that sumtimes black people dont even want to accept u then wat?? wen i was little girls used to pick on me all the time & say i was conceited just because of the way i looked so i never had a problem w/ being black but other black people...also in asia lighter skinned people are also placed on a pedestal look at all the skin bleaching used in asia to say other races are more sincere is ridiculous all people have issues...

  • @RobertsDigital You have to understand that it is the direct result of the term "black" being an oxymoron in itself. How can I be black, if I my skin color is the same as Vin Diesel? Black people should be called something else, not black. It's dumb, it implies that you have to be atleast brown in order to be black. I have no problem with it, but it's quite confusing when some black people tell me and treat me like I'm not black and others do, same with other races. It's one huge mindfuck for me

  • @RobertsDigital actually a hispanic person can be a black person there are black cubans & dominicans & columbians...blacks can be considered a culture & also a race & if u are mixed why should u have to only claim the black side? this is just taking it back to the "one drop" rule...also if u study genetics youll learn that their are "black' people walking around who possess more white dna than black...and their are "whites" walking around with black dna...i say it doesnt matter we're all human

  • @Dawn0564 I agree!

  • There is no such fucking thing as carmel, it is just light brown. A few of those light browns in your video are actually light skinned. Bronzer and self tanner is a trickster my friend. I use them all the time in the summer to look " light brown". I have seen Mariah Carey look dark as hell thanks to bronzer/paints/makeup..I think your videos are full of misinformation. You have a long ways to go.

    good bye

  • wow

i didnt know there were so many shades of brown. nor that there were so many black celebrities.

  • some people were definitely in the wrong category. but that is ok, you got the message across.

  • This video is beautiful!

  • thats the thing with the sistas you can go from light to dark and its all good choose your pick its not about the color its the flava and the taste is chaocoalte mmmmmmmmm

  • unless your a full blooded afrikan then you not "technicley" fullly black (what u gonna do? count all ur chromazones to figure out a % lol) so the light skin, dark skin & bi racial argument is stupid we r all black LOVE IT

  • @wade12393 BIRACIAL IS NOT BLACK. light skin is NOT BLACK. thank you. ASK ME, I WILL TELL.

  • leona lewis's face always reminds of a lion?

  • now that u have mentioned this, she does look it.

  • to a white person this is a silly argument..i mean were all black in there eyes lol..just accept the fact that you're african americans

  • What is the objective of this video? I don´t understand...people is like icream, all kind of flavors, colors, and types...all fab...

  • Light brown skin is NOT light skin. Light-skinned is someone like Faith Evans, Mariah Carey, Jasmine Guy, Lisa Bonet, and Alicia Keys. THAT'S light skin. Light brown skin has more tan than light skin. For example, Beyonce is light-brown skinned. She has some color in it. Educate yourself. Dark SKin is Wesley Snipes, Taye Diggs, Dimon Hisou or whatever his name is, etc,

  • No disrespect, take as you want it, but why does it matter to you so much that some people call themselves light skin, or a light brown skin, people are allowed to have their own opinoins, your definition of light skin is pale, almost white, its not even considered light skinned to me,it to me is lighter then a light skinned black women, so to me a light brown skin as you put it is a light skin, your catogories are just different than mine and a lot of other people, thats all...

  • No disrespect intended, but I don't considered light brown skin light skin. I'm sorry, but I don't. A lot of people will agree with me, too. Light brown skin has more tan color than light skinned. And yes, the women that I've mentioned are actually biracial, not full black.

  • your comment dosent even make sense, thats your opinion, and 70sbaby80schild321 has her opinion and i also agree with it, im indian and i see them all as just brown/dark and thats my opinion

    thats all...

  • Umm, how does my comment not make sense ? and I know its my opinion, that's why I stated it. and I clearly said that "PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE THEIR OWN OPINIONS" you can agree to what ever you like. I'm Haitian and Peurto Rican and I'm considered light skinned according to this video, but I consider myself pale almost white not light skinned,I just see it differently...that's all...

  • sinse when was mariah carey black light skinned?/ lol

  • Mariah Carey is biracial, but I consider her light-skinned.

  • bi racial blacks are usually light skinned or light brown in color

  • shes not biracial though?

  • They all look Black to me

  • lol indeed

  • thanks for clearing that up cause i use to consider light brown still light skinned, it does make sense. They reason I say that was because they were lighter than me

  • my definition of light skin is almost white, like Mariah Carey, Lisa Bonet, and MAYBE Alicia Keyes

brown skin is like Tyra Banks, Halle Berry, and Rihanna (Beyonce is light brown skin)

    Medium is medium

    and dark is dark

    black is africa.

  • Dark skin is not a color we need to stop using that phase and describe it like we do with caramel like saying dark chocolate or milk chocolate

  • the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice...haha. but seriously, im more attracted to darker women, but thats not to say they are in anyway better than anyother. its just my personal preferrance. that doesnt becaome a problem until i try to force that opinion onto somebody else or start tryin to say that all dark ladies are better or more beautiful than any other skin tone. unless you have less depth than a kiddy pool, at least half the reason you are attracted to someone is based on

  • confidence and intelligence, not jus the way they look. if i like the way you carry and express youself, thats what matters.

  • @kjv5000 To me light brown is the best.

  • This is so true.

  • Do you think Leona Lewis can sing jerscat?

  • i stumbled onto this vid.i hadn't realized their were so many shades of black.

  • Hmmmm? Ok.

  • this is wrong.

i read a book with a chart of african american skin tones there is like a yellow tone complextion then light skin then light brownskin then brownskin then dark brownskin then darkskin then just black.

  • Thanks for all the positive comments. This is something that need to be address. We should close the chapter and learn to respect each other. To all my sisters our there no matter what color of the skin you are in you are beautiful/ gorgeous.

  • Most of the lightskin people in the video seemed to be mixed/bi-racial, like really really light. I agree with you that most lightbrown and caramel folks are not lightskin but most people would consider Lauren London and Beyonce to be lightskin.

  • @shaybunny09 yeah Mariah Carey and the other biracials labeled as light skinned should have been left out. I mean I know black folks who CALL themselves black and so do all the ppl they can trace in the history and they're lightskinned like lisa bonet...which is a lot different from Mariah Carey's and Lisa Bonet (even if to a lesser extent).

  • This is a great video, although your only saying things from a darker skin perspective, saying "stop saying light skins had it easier" you should have said it from both point of views... i don't know if you understand what i'm trying to say.

Like, I guess stop pin-pointing it as it's only dark skin's that are "haters" you know ?

but this is a good video.

  • Great video.

  • Great video.......thanks for sending to me to watch.

  • great views...so true!!!
