The term "Wahabi" - [Eng Subs] - تسمية الوهابية

God looks on the heart. He can see who's just paying respect and who's "worshipping" the dead.

As a Christian trying to get a handle on Wahabi ways, the impression I am getting is that ibn Abdul Wahab forbad prayers at the gravesites. he equated it with polytheism.

This is similar to debates in Christianity over reverence of the Saints. To oversimplify, Cathoiics and Eastern Orthodox revere the Saints, and Protestants do not.

My opinion? Such forbidding is too harsh. Moses enjoins us to honor our parents. So does Christ. The Jews say the Kaddush. Let the people honor the departed
