You have a most wonderful philosophy, a perfect balance between body and mind, between spirit and strength. You are a true philosopher, one who stands in the tradition of a Marcus Aurelius, a contemplative warrior. I commend you in your life calling, as you have truly inspired me towards mine. Please continue on in your journey, for in your journey you have blazed trails for others, not least mine. Best, Joshua Ramos
i love how you talk about spiritual strength and "building the strongest version of ourselves" and not just physical powe, this is after all the most important part of training "where the mind cannot lead the body fails to follow"
That was one powerful video. I've learned so much from you Elliot, so glad I came across your channel. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into this, for free and to people worldwide (I myself am following you all the way from London UK).
Great vid man excellent! I dont know about all the temple and indian references but i followed it and the symbolism kinda helped the presentation. well done F*** the system!
This is by far the best video ive seen anywhere. I learned so much and look at people, life, and myself 100% differently. I never knew that our mind and body coincide with each other and how we think is how we act, and vis versa. Thanks so much for these videos man i learn so much from you
Hey Elliot, I'm also very interested in the science of exercise and I have been watching a lot of your videos. It is obvious you have done quite a bit of research and I am wondering if you could recommend some of your favorite reading materials.
@strengthcamp I have a need to meet you in person and pick your brain because your the forefront of a new age in fitness. Many blessings and love to you and your family. Also like I said before, you need to meet my father.
So if i train my body i also train my mind because both are connected with each other? Im sorry my english isnt very good. (and i watched the other parts too)
For example when i train my abs, i also train my inner energy of my mind?
I love this series - watch it over and over and share it with my 14 year old son. THANK YOU -- so much. What you share/express in all these vids resonates with and further expands my own discoveries through reading, intuition, connection re: the body, mind, spirit tried (intrinsically part of humanness and so often fragmented/forgotten/lost in our world today - sorry for MY rant). Anyway - Great stuff - and has lead to equally great conversations for my son and me - wanted you to know.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about strength! You have very good insights about it. Basically, my learning is that you have to develop your inner self to manifest outer strength; you can't for from the outside in. I'm a Christian, and the source of my strength is God, the giver of all life.
Thanks a lot bro I use to be a real good athlete but my health and body has been off. I use to try to nurture the big 3 but lately all 3 have been off. Thanks for putting me back on track
AWESUME! I am really digging your approach to strength training. I will be honest i'm the dude who squats, presses, and so on, and always wonder why i plateu and dont really get all the results I want. You have just opened my mind to some real shit. Thank You for sharing.
There is a book called "The Biology of Belief" by "Bruce H. Lipton". His ideas are very similar to yours. You should read it.
Also, you really know how to teach people. I had watched tons on deadlifting videos. But no one explained it better than you. Thank you for your effort.
Dude you should be a college professor! I am amazed at the amount of so called medical professionals that will recommend a pill or the HCG shot over proper nutrition, exercise, discipline and natural remedies. Preach on Elliott, Im with you brother.
Amen! Getting into the subconcious and clearing that out of the negatives that we were programmed with is a step that is overlooked by many. In "What the Bleep?" there is mention of why people fail on diets - they start out well intentioned but the underlying belief that they are not good enough, not worthy, not deserving of looking or even feeling better will "under mine(d)" there progress.
Look at the Four Agreements by don Miguel Ruiz. May be helpful too.

Awesome. Love learning about the CNS, ever since you introduced it to me I've been fascinated. Purely fascinated by it- its so important and so overlooked. Great video. Keep it up Elliot these are teaching people the right things, and as always thank you.
Elloitt, I love your approach to matters such as this. It's a much more holistic look at strength in all of its forms, and I think this way of looking at things, this broader mindset, is something we've lost in the West, given that we're so empirically minded.
Keep up the good work, bro.
(P.S. - I love the inserts you do. The Socrates quote was a great touch)
this is an inspirational vid. my biggest problem i think is people in my life, family, freinds, random strangers bring me down with negativity and unhealthy lifestyles. i truly believe im stronger and healthier than most of them because i dont allow stupid negativity into my thought process.
Man You have inspired me to learn more about our physiology, and now I want to become a personal trainer that truly worries about people and start from the root of the problem and fix it, I want to be a part of that small minority, to help others become their strongest version of themselves and discover their full potential. Keep them videos coming, I truly appreciate them because no one goes that deep in this kind of problems in today's society.
Elliot i really enjoyed this video it was really a eye opener and i have never heard and learned anything like it before, and for that i am truly grateful you are a good speaker and teacher, Most people will prob see this as another stupid you tube comment but i am truly thankful for this video uploaded here, it has taught me health is more than lifting iron and that a person inner thoughts have effect i am going to watch part 2 now, thank Elliot much appreciated.
Every weekday, when I have lunch, I check for a new video from strengthcamp. I totally love the teaching style. I feel you can relate better than other fitness enthusiasts. I've been training with chakras recently, and it's a great philosophy and skill. Keep making videos.
We are building a religion, we are making it bigger. We are widening the corridors and adding more lanes! Preach on Elliot, Ill swallow this kool-aid willingly. Great stuff man.
I have seen almost every of your videos, and this really opened my eyes. You are a strength trainer with the knowledge of nineteen libraries. I will pass this great information on.
Fantastic video Elliot! I'm turning everyone on to your vidoes. You have so much useful information to share and it deserves to be heard. Huge fan here; keep up the great work!
You'll like this than scientist have a test were they a random number generater that changes when there is something big happening ie the twin towers the sunami that crushed japan which means that there is a huge psychic feild out there that we generate .
I think this may be the best video you have posted. What's really positive based on these comments is there are far mor than 5 of us who want to get back to our "roots" and have you keep sharing and teaching.
Elliot, you are one of the wisest people I know. I am constantly training and seeking to be the best version of myself and watching this video confirmed most of the stuff I have been thinking about. I do a little personal training and I work with a lot of people who thought things would get better if they lost weight but they realize that if you don't handle what's happening on the inside, you will never be happy with your outside. Loved the video, i'm on you email list, and watch all you vids.
Fascinating and thought provoking. Interesting connection to Maslow. Compare Maslow's hierarchy with Kohlberg's stages of moral development.
Also "The Secret Teachings of Plants" has some profound stuff on the heart and entrainment.
Somehow, all this ties together into a coherent understanding of things -- I just haven't pulled it all together yet. But it's like working a jigsaw puzzle. You find a piece that fits, you get closer to knowing what the whole looks like.
These bodys of work have been put together by people from all across older civilizations which ultimately came from ancient Egypt. This is a study to bring us closer to self realization and our spiritual connection with nature and god, its a study of natural sciences using symbology to convey its secrets to the mind.
This is a fantastic presentation that you done with the collection of research you put together. Becoming the best we can be has been an old tradition as well called eroticism basically the study within. The body and the strength acquired therein is a product of the mind and in correspondence of such. To get the mind stronger is reaching the most physical limits. There is a new revival of knowledge that your already familiar with this is for everyone study hermetics and alchemy.
Elliot,. I love your videos, especially the lengthy ones. To learn all this otherwise would cost thousands upon thousands of dollars in classes and seminars, and you're sharing the information for free, I really appreciate it, thank you.
So how exactly do we do this? How can we become the strongest version of ourself? How do we fix are clear problems? Will simply changing the way we think be a good start?
This honestly, helped a lot. You basically put together those final pieces of a puzzle that were laying around scrambled in my head. I'm dying to know more..! Thanks for the vid.
Thank you for expressing yourself in such a beautiful way Elliot. At the moment my temple is down, I think emotional trauma from down the years which I have held in and not spoken about until now has really damaged me. I have built up allot of anger! Its not me though and Im starting to see problems turn up in my gut and my skin. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks for such great work, Luke
Interesting to see how much meaning you put into this - becoming stronger, and don't get me in the wrong way, I think to a certain point that is very good. "Nothing great has ever been accomplished without passion" said G.W. Hegel.
@strengthcamp I left a very nasty comment on one of your videos a number of weeks ago - you probably didn't even see it but I'd like to apologize. I'm subscribed and have watched nearly all of your videos; it's great to see someone actually take the time to explain the human body and how it works in terms of exercise. Thank you!
It's so funny how you starting to sound like a leader of a new movement....
And I agree with so much of what you have to say...things I myself have thought about, but never really had a ''media'' wich can give me approval. I do know that that's not always needed, but it sometimes helps. You are that media - and I thank you for that.
@ArtjomGlad thanks! i just realized that you've posted a video question for me... for some reason I've never seen it. i'll try to get around to it since it is a great question, thanks!
Can I ask you something? What do you think of Mark Rippettoes starting strength? I'm 18 and 150 pounds and looking for functional strength and mass gain.
@Eatmybologna Im not Elliot, but Starting Strength is a great place to start with barbell training if youve never done any of it before. There are lots of other things you can do to supplement SS though too, like kettlebells, bodyweight work as 2 examples.
I'm def. sure its more than 5 people:) I have sent at least 3 people to your site that I know for a fact look at themselves as a whole in mind and body.
@strengthcamp fantastic concept... im on my journey to becoming "the strongest me" and you have played a big part in there along with another coach and i have never met you in real life... If ever you are in the UK lets hook up bro and ill feed ya!
Yo Elliott, I really love your videos and focus on "the strongest version of yourself".
In this particular video, I feel you are being overly apologetic. Everything you are sharing is perfectly reasonable, and (more importantly) involves concepts that every person should consider if they want to experience the fullest expression of themselves and make the most of their life. There is nothing to lose by "exercising" all of these aspects of our life experience, and everything to gain.
Please continue to share. I will watch and 'like' these videos as long as you keep sharing your research and thoughts. The deeper I dive into my strength journey the more sense this makes.
@FHS96 "modern science" is based on beliefs... look at the roots of quantum physics and the work of Einstein. The more we learn, the more it looks like we know nothing... just "ideas".
i wish there were more of you in this world elliott. It is too unfortunate that the population isnt at a reality. everyone wants to live in their fantasies..
yo Elliot you were saying that someone can think poorly of themselves or higher than where they actually stand. you described how the body and hormones react to the mind's of people who think poorly but how would the body react to someone who's ego is way to big? I know someone who thinks he's the most amazing person alive in the weight room. Because of his mind set is he releasing more testosterone or something? thanks man!
It all rings true. I understand the connections you've outlined between the mind and body, yet still feel at a loss as to what steps to take to bring about the manifestation of the best version of myself. I can feel the energy inside me, yet almost feel unable to tap into it because I don't know how I would channel it. I'm very similar to your friend who tends to speak very softly and feels unheard. My question is, how do I go about addressing that?
"Yo, this is elliot, you got strength questions; I got increasingly cryptic and abstract answers that have little to no factual merit regardless of how many self serving philosophic references I make."
hey bro this topic really interests me as a person im 18, i want to learn on how to be stronger as a person be the best i can be so i can help to serve people so whatever you're willing to teach im 110% willing to learn
I've got to ask you Elliot.. Are you a fan of George Carlin's work? In a way you remind me of George. The way George talked about the world and life. No BS, just the truth.
Thank you, Elliott, for all the work you do for us. Your ideas, and the way you present them, are both inspiring and enlightening. I'm definitely within that two percent. Stay strong.
Elliot, man, you are by far my favorite subscription. I am surely one of those "five" people that benefit from these videos. The length is necessary and it sucks that people complain about that. Hell, if anything I would prefer it to be longer, that way you could describe it in greater detail. Please continue making videos like this.
@strengthcamp This inside out perfection is exactly what I need at this point in my life. I don't know exactly how to fix it as I have tried EVERYTHING and I mean everything that western psychology and medicine has to offer and to no avail. I will definitely try this stuff. I have noticed that this inside out thing is just what I need.
You are the only youtuber who preaches mental strength over physical strength!

This is a study to bring us closer to self realization and our spiritual connection with nature and god, its a study of natural sciences using symbology to convey its secrets to the mind.
icecreamrulz420ya 7 months ago

Great video man, I love how you're straight forward in everything you say. More people need to hear this. Keep the videos coming!

So how exactly do we do this? How can we become the strongest version of ourself? How do we fix are clear problems? Will simply changing the way we think be a good start?
MaaNonu123 7 months ago

Can I ask you something? What do you think of Mark Rippettoes starting strength? I'm 18 and 150 pounds and looking for functional strength and mass gain.
Eatmybologna 7 months ago
@Eatmybologna Im not Elliot, but Starting Strength is a great place to start with barbell training if youve never done any of it before. There are lots of other things you can do to supplement SS though too, like kettlebells, bodyweight work as 2 examples.

Is this video explaining beleifs or proved modern science?
FHS96 7 months ago
@FHS96 "modern science" is based on beliefs... look at the roots of quantum physics and the work of Einstein. The more we learn, the more it looks like we know nothing... just "ideas".

yo Elliot you were saying that someone can think poorly of themselves or higher than where they actually stand. you described how the body and hormones react to the mind's of people who think poorly but how would the body react to someone who's ego is way to big? I know someone who thinks he's the most amazing person alive in the weight room. Because of his mind set is he releasing more testosterone or something? thanks man!

It all rings true. I understand the connections you've outlined between the mind and body, yet still feel at a loss as to what steps to take to bring about the manifestation of the best version of myself. I can feel the energy inside me, yet almost feel unable to tap into it because I don't know how I would channel it. I'm very similar to your friend who tends to speak very softly and feels unheard. My question is, how do I go about addressing that?
killak94 7 months ago

Bless you for teaching us!
