I remember Dejima well, even before he was an ozeki. He had an overwhelming oshi attack which could overpower all but the biggest and strongest rikishi. He did not use tsuppari or the nodo-wa much at all and in this respect his style was similar to that of Tochiazuma. He had a short reign as an ozeki similar in that respect to ex-ozeki Miyabiyama. His balance problems were the culprit, as he often fell to the dohyo before driving out an opponent.
