I have owned all types of different Computers. Dell was by far the worst. Try talking to a US employee a few years back. I do not know how they are now and I am afraid to buy anything Dell or Alienware due to the experience. I have had good luck with Macs and Sony computers. My father currently has a Dell and works for Rocky Shoes and HATES it!

Okay, here is the thing, I actually worked for qvc and they can not put you on the air unless your prompted to ask the customer if they want to speak to the host. And it only asks when you have purchased the item that they are showing on air. And it will only let you do it if their credit card goes through. So she had to have purchased one to be given the chance to speak to the host!

I build computers for people, but when i dont want to build one, i buy a dell. The dell ive had (3 years old) runs mac osx and windows 7 (Dual boot) and I haven't had a single problem with it...This is still a pretty funny joke though. I just think people dont know how to do simple maintenance on any cpu, thats why they run into trouble.

I'm almost willing to bet that the caller is blaming Dell for their inability to practice safe and sensible browsing. It's not Dell's fault she can't keep the thing virus free.
Virus infection isn't covered under warranty, but IS easily fixed. Again, it's a software issue, the hardware is probably just fine, but the user (and a large percentage of the, really) equate software behavior to hardware condition.
I would never, ever buy a dell as someone who knows a fair bit about PC's but for someone that cant be bothered with learning or upgrading hardware & just want the mcdonalds of the computer world they're a good choice
i ordered a custom made Dell pc, XPS, about a year after recieving it, the motherboard crashed, of course you CANNOT get a motherboard repair through anyone other than Dell certified technicians, SO they replaced it with a new Dell Motherboard! less than a year later. BOOM crash again, motherboard is fried, i finally gave up and had it rebuilt using the hardware that wasnt from dell, with new hardware, also not dell, from a private buisiness, BAM runs better than ever before

I've had the XPS 400 for 5 years and still no crash (knock on wood) and I'm able to play call of duty modern warefare 2 on it... altho it is a bit slow, which is why I got my new alienware aurora

Dells are junk. I've seen more problems with them than any other brand. If you're going to invest money into a laptop, get an IBM, sure they look ugly, but they're reliable, and I use HP (somewhat junky too). Should have kept my old IBM.

I have 2 Dell desktops, a Dell netbook, an iBook, and an eMac in my household and I equally love them all. They each do what they should and I haven't had any problems with any of them. I enjoy using my Dells better though because I have dual monitors on them. Other than that, both brands are awesome

actually in terms of performance, macs run circles around any pc. the reason not many people use macs is b/c software and hardware developers dont make stuff for it. those mac commercials may be shitting on pc's, but sometimes the truth hurts. you can even see the difference in mobile versions of each os. windows mobile is slow and choppy, while mac mobile(or what ever its called) is smoother, faster, and easier to use

its not the brand of pc that crashes. its just normal for computers to do that when they are not maintained properly. lol i helped out a lady that was having a hard time picking a flash drive, because she didn't know if the flash drive could allow you to take info from an HP to a Sony pc. i was about to laugh but i, stopped my self and explained the function of flash drives and the limitless compatibilities PCs have.

Dells are junk. I've seen more problems with them than any other brand. If you're going to invest money into a laptop, get an IBM, sure they look ugly, but they're reliable, and I use HP (somewhat junky too). Should have kept my old IBM.

I have 2 Dell desktops, a Dell netbook, an iBook, and an eMac in my household and I equally love them all. They each do what they should and I haven't had any problems with any of them. I enjoy using my Dells better though because I have dual monitors on them. Other than that, both brands are awesome

actually in terms of performance, macs run circles around any pc. the reason not many people use macs is b/c software and hardware developers dont make stuff for it. those mac commercials may be shitting on pc's, but sometimes the truth hurts. you can even see the difference in mobile versions of each os. windows mobile is slow and choppy, while mac mobile(or what ever its called) is smoother, faster, and easier to use

thats not true. macs are generally slower than pc. but don't lag up, or crash as often. pc is bare bones. it runs faster. but it also assumes you can do some maintenance yourself. i've used both macs and pcs. im not bias either way

I got a dell laptop and the screen failed within 3 days of getting it. Fucking random bullshit all over the screen. But I plugged in a normal monitor and there was no problem. Dell POS.
