I love watching Episode One of Bergman's Fanny och Alexander every Christmastime. Even though much of it is VERY dark (especially in the uncut edition made for Swedish Television rather than the Christmas scenes in the theatrical film release) I love seeing the family celebrate the holidays, the family and servants gathering in the kitchen for Christmas Eve dinner and Uncle Karl showing the kids "fireworks"!
