  • damn i really hope tyler, frank ocean & the weeknd can kick LMFAO, flo rida, lady gaga and all those other bullshit artists off the charts.

they've got real talent and sorry for saying this but... they need to go commercial because music this good needs to be heard by everyone.

  • @g00dm00sic Lady Gaga is good though. =\

  • @raider9jones don't forget Casey veggies.

  • everything that pharrell just said is soo true

  • It's really interesting to hear an artists point of view as he's he is "Caught uo in the system". And while he acknowledges his fame, but he also acknowledges his benefits reaped; as well, as the idea of creativity still exist with him, then he can spawn more followers to his path,

  • Odd Future is going to change music. Theyre such a new and fresh sound that breaks people thoughts of what they THINK good music is. i dont see how people can stick to billboard (GOBLIN peaked at #5 btw) and the stuff they hear on the radio. Tyler,Hodgy,Earl,Syd,Jasper,Mike G,Domo,Frank & Left Brain are fuckin dope

  • mane why ever body all ways takeing shots a justin bebier the nigga got skills to me it seems hes just dumbing down the music tell hes 18 like chris did

  • Fuck Trick Daddy.

  • why does everyone think that odd future is going to change music. They talk about normal rap related topics. Girls sex and they dont care about their haters. They are not revolutionizing anything people. People are just so quick to jump on a rappers bandwagon when a rapper is good.

  • @kashcino1 you've haven't clearly listened to much of their stuff then. Look up 'inglorious' by Tyler, The Creator, or 'Intoxicated Dreams' by MellowHype or even 'Everything Thats Yours' by Mike G and then tell me that all they talk about is girls and sex

  • @kashcino1 If you actually listen, one common theme in their music is growing up without a father. Inglorious, Bastard, There Will Be Tears, Cocainkeys. Look them up on youtube before you start vomiting bullshit on the internet.

  • @EliteHuntersClub dude ive heard those songs. My intellect is not as trollish as you think i actually base my evaluation of an artist on evidence that ive heard. That means ive heard there songs dude

  • FUCK R KELLY

  • the audio sux colon tho

  • if ppl would see not only tyler and ofwg but the drums, natalia kills, the weekend, mgmt and other artist who decides to say fuck that generic sound the industry wants to use as a cry for attention cause its not. they decided to put "their" music out there so the other quote on quote weird kids could relate to that shit too. fuck the dougie fuck the jerk wheres the music? they brought it

  • Frank Ocean is dope and a great song writer, Jet Age of Tomorrow is tight, Earl be spitting some shit but Odd Future as a whole is overrated especially Tyler. I fuck with the Weeknd too, his music is really good.

  • @xxSUMBLKGUYxx tyler isn't overrated, hes just popular. don't make that assumption, his lyrics and double meanings are so on point it's ridiculous. if you don't think Tyler is good tbh he might be over your head

  • @MrMister296 Tyler being overrated is an opinion, you're using the word assumption wrong. Don't make me laugh, I listen to Nas, Lupe Fiasco, Kendrick Lamar and other true lyricists, nothing Tyler says can go over my head because it's so simplistic. Don't dick ride rappers so hard like you know them, your opinion on music isn't greater than anyone else's.

  • @xxSUMBLKGUYxx lmao im not dick riding i bet you don't understand half the shit on tylers new album. and no they arent overrated, theyre just blowing up. what im trying to say is they are becoming very popular very quickly which just means their getting the attention they deserve because theyre creative as fuck. definitely not overrated.

  • @xxSUMBLKGUYxx

I agree...people only like Tyler because he's out of it lol....he hasn't said a line that me go....real talk !

I too listen to Lupe Fiasco, J.Cole...that nigga j.cole is crazy...that song won't be long is probably my favorite song of 2011. All tyler says is eff this, eff that, stab him stab her, rape rape rape 666....lol

  • @PdubzCrew Go look up the lyrics SHE by tyler the creator

  • @PdubzCrew ridiculous.

  • @PdubzCrew

well go listen to steak sauce cause obviously you havent listened good for lines

think how you like to me odd future is the best thing that happened to music in years

rap got lame as fuck all this hood shit and being real talking money videoclips with fine bitches expensive branding materialistic shit, people got ficking tired of it

now that these skate kids got fun songs like analog, just a song about chilling at a lake, it can be that simple yet so awesome

    think about it

  • @xxSUMBLKGUYxx He is saying tyer changed the game because he produces and composes music too

  • @xxSUMBLKGUYxx You DIDN'T say that you listen to Tyler tho, which you probably don't. Not saying that you have to of course, but if you actually listen to his music/lyrics, you'll hear the lyrical talent. He isn't wack and actually has moments of substance when he talks about his experience and outlook on certain things (not just 666, stabbing, rapping, etc; real stuff). They're "overrated" b/c they're doing what they're supposed to do, and doing them.

  • Fuck the underground. Underground doesnt excist anymore. And when you saying youre underground, i think youre never gonna make it and youre a closeminded dumbass. No offense though but its a shame to me that people that share the same love for music as me, that think that kind of stuff. Ok.

  • Now this is a guy who knows Music and not just knows it, he has been here and been making some amazing sound. Now he can share his point of view and alot of people will listen to him, so he is doing a good job mentioning all these real and new artists. Keep it up Pharell!

  • WOLF GANG!

  • Frank Ocean is going to change what is going on in the music business. His musicality is so different. So basically Odd Future is changing the music business.

  • @miggy528 i agree with you 100000000 %. Make way for OFWG and the Weeknd. theyre gonna change all this booty they call good music out the way. its basically kicking out all of the Illuminati artists who are trying to dominant the radio with their mind controlling music. its sicking and im tired of hearing the same bullshit come out of everyone's mouth. if theyre all gonna record the same thing, id rather have one good artist recording that not all off them. Music industry needs CHANGE ASAP!

  • @eyooitsjoo92 the fuck up u dumbass!!!

  • @slimkid1122 don't call me a dumbass when you're the one criticizing me for listening to OFWG while liking tyler and earl's songs. ahahaha you fucking irrelevant ass, ha, i bet you're just one of those cunt rags who like artists after their music has hit radio stations across the nation. so get your shit together first before you go bashing other you dumbass.

  • What we need are less artists and critics and more FANS.

  • What is being said here is TRUE. However, in today's climate we ALL have the opportunity to succeed in this industry as OPPOSED to its OLD model...

With that said... Check out why we EMBRACE today's model by going to our website and enjoying FREE music downloads and video. You WON'T be disappointed...

    9enteractive. com

  • @9enteractive

    Thats part of the problem.

    Everyone is an artist now.

Back then, it wasn't that everyone didn't have the opportunity to succeed in the industry, it was that then, you had to earn it. You had to grind, sometimes for YEARS just to get put on. These days, everyone knows how the industry works, even your grandma and mailman knows what ASCAP and Soundscan is.

The standards to even be an artist are too low, the bar is set too low.

  • @Broyale26 Thats why we got niggas like Justin Bebier and Rebecca Black. Fuckin' shame.

Is it just me or those hip hop always have a new group that takes over the scene and are EVERYWHERE, every 7 years? Deathrow, Bad Boy, G-Unit, Young Money, now TaylorGang and Odd Future WolfGang?! WTF

Im thankful for The Weeknd doe. Now that dudes music NEEDS his appreciation. But how good will he remain when he isn't underground anymore? When you sign, you change as an artist and so does your music. Sadshit.

  • @BadBitchJordynn Ay Justin Bieber is a crip ass nigga.

  • @JaKexSyN of course he is!

  • @BadBitchJordynn Soo u mean that OFWGKTA has a bad influence on Hip Hop.. I may have understood what u ment, i i didnt read what @Broyale26 said either..

  • @BadBitchJordynn what wrong with any of those groups .. are you a music critique

  • @BadBitchJordynn But he also mentioned Frank as a solo entity. Frank's music is great, hes a talented writer who knows how to utilize his vocal abilities very well and has great ear for music. Unless these artists continue to be independent, they'll always have to change their music. No one wants to be small time/underground/on "buzz status" forever. Everyone wants a chance to reach the masses, and in that case, you and your music has to go thru some sort of change.

  • @BadBitchJordynn The music changes, because they progress as artists. Why do you think by the time a certain album acclaims much feedback, they're well known? Because they grow and become better. USUALLY, that is. Not lately, but that's what happens. Their views change over time.

  • @BadBitchJordynn i feel you but tyler wont be a sellout like lupe...hes not gonna change for anyone

  • @Broyale26 I definitely agree with you that the bar has been set to low, the internet created a space for people to think that anything is great music and its not.

  • @Broyale26

There isn't a bar anymore. The industry you knew 10 years ago is dead. It's not coming back. There are no standards anymore because there are so many separate social networks of exposure to take advantage of. Talent as we know it no longer applies to artists. artists are symbols, they are icons, reflections of society, and todays society is so interconnected its impossible to overlook the intricacies of beauty in so many different instances and personalities.

  • I meant to say that standards are so rapidly becoming redefined, it's not that they don't exist.
