  • SAD

  • man he's so fucking passionate about everything! Such an inspiration. He even opens his laptop with passion haha.. Great man!

  • i am like a diabetic with insulin; i just need opiates to be normal... sad but true...

    chad the troll

  • This mans words need to be herd. I'm not exactly sure if that was a poem, but it was beautiful. Tears..

  • Phil was an inspiration for me when i was growing up listening to the music he and pantera produced. I never thought in a thousand years that he could be more inspirational than what his lyrics already were (and the confidence and self respect that came from them). And all pantera fans would agree, none of that I hate my life king of crap, but lyrics that would make you confident in yourself and make you feel powerful.

But after watching this, I guess I was wrong; this is more inspirational.

  • Wtf.

  • the truth about dope

  • hillarious

  • Phil should really do an audiobook, thatd be fucking awesome. Especially if he wrote the book.

  • He loves his Moma =) his a good boy

  • Everything this man says is true.

  • most addicts are really intelligent people, smart, just make stupid mistakes,

  • Thank you for uploading this....a very, very fascinating hour from a guy who I used to idolize musically. Thank you again.

  • Those university kids have no sense of humor, or they're falling asleep. All they do is sit there in awkward silence. Noone was laughing at the jokes he made!! lol

  • @Falling12Shadow i noticed that too

  • "You gotta beat the shit outta that addiction and then tell it Walk on home Boy!"

  • Anton Crowley man....fucking real!

  • Phil's one of the realest rock icons you could find.

  • After seeing this series of clips in its entirety, I have come to the conclusion that we can all benefit from staying true to our will. The man's got a mighty good point.

  • Can't really relate to the hard drugs like Heroine, but alcohol was a bit of a problem for a few years for me. Glad I'm past that now.

  • its about time phil gets good press that isn't twisted to make him seem like a asshole

  • who was he talking about, the one that overdosed? Bower?

  • I'm not big on reading but I'd read a book by Phil

  • @saffalogo

More like a voice tape :P

  • when your family gives up on you, its over, and when you are trying to knock it for other people, you will never do it, you have to love yourself, and to have family support is a special pride, i know a person who's mother and father showed up at his doorstep, and he told them to leave, he has lost his job, his house, and roaming from couch to couch finding his next fix. so if your family shows up, let them take you, don't ever tell them to leave, begining of the end of your life,

  • Fuck this is an amazing set of videos. I myself have been down the dark tunnel and come out the other end with many simalar things happening along the way. This video needs to go out to every rehab, detox and high school the world over

  • phil is and will always be the man..

  • the lady in green at 1:34 his sister?

  • i have so much admiration for this guy

  • damn Phil needs Pop-Up Blocker

  • "Mommy! My moms here..." That made me smile. This beast of a man, boxer, famous frontman (and one of the best of all fucking time,in my opinion),maniac, and heroin addict who has now beat the addiction still calls his mom "Mommy".Is it just me or was that the sweetest thing he ever said? lol. You;re an amazing man Phil, reguardless of who wants to judge you, bottom line is you're human, with flaws you own up to. Your fans love you. \m/ \m/ (P.S.You're sexy too...mmmm Thank you Phil's Mommy! lol)

  • @hannyababy fuck ya phils sexy!!! but dont get me wrong he is such a great guy like you said!!!!!

  • @papabear8n8 yeah, of course he killed him. He ran on stage and shot him in the head. And then the cop blew Phil's head. Your right (SARCASM). You stupid bitch!!! Get your fact's straight.

  • @661358 Thanks for pointing out your sarcasm. Maybe Phil should have pointed out his comments to "kill" and 'severely beat" vinnie paul and dime were just sarcasm so Nathan Gale and all the other drug riddeled, insane, people who happened to dig Pantera's music wouldnt kill the band. You cant fucking make comments lightly when you are in a position of power like Phil was. People( crazy moutherfuckers) worship you and will take your words literally.

  • Comment removed

  • @papabear8n8 you are a fuckhead this is the real deal .

  • @papabear8n8

go fuck yourself, Phil had nothing to do with Dime's death for thousandth time

  • Shit he'd be awesome at giving speeches as a president.

  • Comment removed

  • he did all this in front of his mom too.. that'd just make it tougher. none of this even seems to embarrass or phase him at all, this guy is amazing.

  • Not the greatest man to have ever lived, but a great man.

A real everyman. He's almost fatherly in his manner sometimes in these videos.

  • This MAN is a fuckin warrior....Dope will not get him...Thank you god...

  • These are awesome, REALLY Awesome.

  • Phil's the man.

  • even his speaking voice is brutal.

  • That chick is hot!

  • Hahahaha......phill using laptop?so what! i bet there's alot of story of his life in that thing and share on it....but he's still looking FUCKING AWESOME......DAMN I LOVE THIS GUY,

  • but it has band stickers all over it so it still rocks

  • wow even the most hardcore ppl can still be a mama's boy my mom still treats me like im still 11 and im in my mid 20's and i get annoyed by it but she is my mom lol

  • mamas boy is someone who has to have there mother do EVERYTHING for u.a grown man whos a boy inside that can be a man.that needs his mother to hold his hand threw life.phil is none of those things.but a human being that has demons and mistakes just like EVERYONE!!only thing is he knew he wasnt superman and knew he needed help and overcame his thick headedness and accepted help to fix his life.realized that family is the only thing that will be there threw thick n thin.not girlfriends.friends.ect

  • probably the best thing i like about phil is that he is a textbook definition of a mama's boy

  • for all his bragging and horrible life choices you should pity the fact he's really suffering from a bi-polar disorder that could have been helped earlier with therapy and medication

  • Thank you . Thank you very much for letting us see this. Phill has been, and is a life lesson to everyone. strong, weak and inteligent. WALK!!

  • Contrary to the common stereotypes, Metalheads are usually a very smart group of people

  • @camelius Thank you! And rappers are typically the dumbest.

  • @hullett29 I am not the biggest fan of hip hop, but I do listen to some. But just because you haven't seen a good example of a great rapper, other than MTV fags like 50 cent or Lil wayne, please don't generalize. If you're going to say that metalheads are a very smart group of people, then be smart enough not to discriminate about music and think with a close mind. So many metalheads believe they deserve to be respected, yet they don't respect others and continue to be elitists.

    PANTERA FTW.

  • @camelius hell ya dude we're fuck smart

  • @camelius

Well, dude, I walk around in what the sheep-type o' people would call 'the scene'.. and to tell you the truth, it ain't ever gonna change. Any genre, ideology, great idea, group of people, whatever... 10 people. 9 don't get what it's about. 9 don't understand you must never forget yourself and must always focus on creating and loving. Always turn back your other cheek and say 'so what are we gonna do' instead of spreading hate around. only 1 out of 10 knows it. The rest don't. Never.

  • @camelius Metal has its fair share of idiots like any genre of music.

  • @camelius scientific studies show that we metalheads have a more elevated IQ than the rest of the people

  • @reidotrance where can i find more information on this?

  • @camelius this is soo true. Heavy Metal is the rebellion against the mainstream trends of today most people dont get metal because theyre programmed by the media to like fuckers like little wayne than that justin bieber faggot......its a sad sad world

  • yeah, phil definatly needs to write a book, hes got alot to say. it was always obvious to me hes a smart ass guy, just listen to his lyrics, brilliant

  • I could listen to him for hours, days.

I fell in love with his writings, so passionate. Heard something about a book, that Phil allegedly should write, don't realy know though, but one thing for sure, I'd read the hell out of it.

  • HES WORKING ON A BIOGRAPHY NOW

  • Anyone noticed how clips are cut in such a way to get the important stuff repeated?

  • I did that primarily for continuity reasons - to make it easier to follow along - when I cut the full interview into smaller clips for uploading, but good call. Cheers.

  • @BlackieStuff Its great you cut the clips like that. Really helps to have a recap when starting a new part

  • @SDJrekoff I think the whole interview is the important stuff :>

  • @dropandlongD ok, you're right, but what i meant was "crucially important stuff", the core, the marrow, the meaning....

  • @SDJrekoff oh, I know dude, I was just playin around hahah

  • He is a god..

  • It takes a real man to admit his faults.

  • What's he suppose to talk about here? That was the whole reason he was there.

  • Vinny has his own fucking problems as well !

  • correct.

  • At first I was wondering if he could pull off a public speech, but it dawned on me he is a natural for speaking in front of big crowds.

  • @m169marroquin . Dude look up his speech for a concert he had. Just look up philip anselmo speech. I think it'll interest you greatly :)

  • Phil is like a run model, he did bad things with his life, mind and body, "he learned from this mistake", he rose from the bottom, he's alive again, so smart, so inteligent, he sucks you in when he's talking, a true living legend.

Phil, my respect, you've been my favorite musician for all time, thank you for sharing your experiences in life and teach us how to be a good person, it doesnt matter if you made mistakes in your life.

    Peace Out Phil \m/

  • watch?v=_z-hEyVQDRA

  • Philip is the greatest Metal artist ever and you all live in world where the air dont move.Your all clones for talking bad, your Lamb of garbage couldnt tune this mans guitar.7 bands SEVEN worthy bands and even more credible projects to his resume NO ONE touches him

  • First off, I'm not trying to start an argument. I agree that Phil is an amazing musician, but to say that "Lamb of garbage couldn't tune this man's guitar" is pretty childish in my opinion. Lamb of God is one the truest metal bands in America right now and everyone in the band is awesome at what they do. I've seen Lamb of God live before and their show was right up there with Down. Also, the technicality of some of their songs is insane.

  • * one of the truest metal bands*

  • what are u gonna do? tackle me?

  • Well said

  • "The Straw Killed the Camel" made me speechless....

  • yeah man, me too!

speaking of it, I not only put my family thru it and they just didnt want to see it so it made it easier for me to get away with my addiction but when I almost lost my best girl because of the shit I was doing I woke up!

  • Yeah that actually made me cry. So did the part where he was talking about his friend that he nearly killed and brought back to life. It's like my god, you know?

  • Yeah he has some narcissism but thats only because he used to be in one of the best heavy metal bands in the world.

  • I think it's O.K. for everybody to be little narcissistic..well, atleast I like it.

  • he's kinda narcissistic

  • haha ya same.. he just sucks you in.

  • phil should make "the straw killed the camel" into a song

  • This guy is awesome, fucking intelligent and so very true

  • l meet phil and the entire down band in san diego 09 it was so fucking awesome clearly one of the best days of my life.

  • Guess his mommy were proud ever since, but right now she MUST be DAMN proud of him...damn proud!

  • i love when he says mommy! thats cute.for a moment you see him childlike. the story is heartbreaking but im glad to see phil strong and back from hell!! you rock phil!

  • thats a powerful story

  • He's pulled

  • As a dope fein this is some deep shit, better story teller then 90% the junkheads . phil def has his own n.a. meeting.

  • beautifully poetic phil...and that's what helps make an amazing front man. lyrics, passion and intensity

  • amen!

  • He is right

  • is that woman in black phil's mother?

    1:23......

  • i think so

  • Love u Phil

  • The old rocker comes across as a shakspearean actor on that stage.

  • Ha! He does too...

  • @BlackieStuff - Thanks for posting this.....tis good shit. He's a hell of a public speaker...extremely captivating. Same way he is at a live show. I'm really grateful I got to see Pantera live....still today, one of the best shows I've ever seen. Sadly, that shit will never come around again.

  • that he does!

  • this is so godam intense. i fucking love phil and wish him the best

    . well done phil.

  • someone has to tame the beast of phil..

    but phil's one badass mothafucker..

  • 0:15
