PERMANENT WAVES (1980) marked the starting point for Rush's full-blown entry into condensed, accessible progressive rock. They abandoned the 20-minute suites and mystical lyrics for catchy progressive song structures, and more human, worldly-related topics. But, Geddy Lee (vocals/bass/synths), Alex Lifeson (guitars) and Neil Peart (drums/lyrics) didn't lose their brilliance in composition, even if most of the track lengths were fit for radio. ENJOY! ;o)
I can see myself jumping up and down in front of Geddy. That was a first row ticket directly in front the of keyboards. A scored ticket at the booth =)
on the lost ship Calypseaux , on the reef, yes, that passing shit from the bowels of the beast, drifting and glowing opposed to the red tide of the cyber sargasso sea
this is one of my rush faves, I've seen them everytime they,ve played in the uk since permanent waves & i'm 99% sure they haven't played it before. Circumstances is the one that will rip my heart out on this tour.
I just saw Rush in concert here in Chicago 5 days ago - they did play Entre Nous. I suppose they wanted to grace thier fans with their more "obscure" songs. I loved the concert.
No...this song has never been played in concert or on any tour (including PW). There is a bootleg out there in which it was done during a soundcheck. This is the first tour in which it has been done. You are quite mistaken.
For the guy wondering about Summertime Blues... I went to the Darien Lake show and that was the first show where they droped Summertime Blues. They dropped it for Distant Early Warning.
NO. The rare gems this tour are entre nous, circumstances, digital man, mission, between the wheels, witch hunt, and passage to bangkok as far as rare songs go.
My girlfriend is the one who is jumping up and down in the front on Geddy's side, it was her 3rd Rush show as her first 2 were Atlanta and West Palm. She is quickly becoming a veteran ;) Anyway, she absolutely loved seeing Entre Nous and for a 26 yr old female who is hot...that is a VERY good thing.
Each stage like another no one else has read, even joined in bonds of love! I will miss those songs mentioned above/below/beneath/between/behind/ beyond the guilded new look. Sensory overload. So what did they replace the dyers with? Vending machines? Too distant, too early, to see. See you at the woodlands!
Thank Fuckin' God I'm Not The Only One! I'm still happy as hell to see them, but they can replace The Trees for 2112. I hope they make some substitutions to the setlist before July 6th.
Where you sitting in Hollywood? I got lucky and got ahold of front row Pool, just to the right of Geddy's mic. I lived in Thousand Oaks for 17 years and never made it to the Bowl, I hear it's a great venue.
Fans have seen 2112 every tour except counterparts, it needs a rest, working man has been played on 11 tours in their career...it too needs a rest, xanadu has been played on like 7 tours and it needs a rest. Digital Man, Witch Hunt,Entre Nous, Passage To Bangkok, Circumstances, Between The Wheels, and Mission are reason enough to go nuts for this tour. Gems...all of them.

This song shows just how much better songwriters they used to be. Fame and money can take the edge right out of a band.

Just to clarify, this song HAS NOT been played live before in a set-list. Soundchecks, maybe but NEVER in a set-list. I hope this clears that up.
