it isn't an anti-lag system, but it is a 2 step using the ecu to control the fuel cut. i'd prefer to use an msd 6al for an ignition cut, but i have other things to work on. i don't do a lot of racing anyway, and i don't use slicks, so anti-lag wouldn't be of much use to me.
actually, i'm planning on finding a suitable c4 corvette -likely an '85 or so- and drop in a good lt1 and start from there.
you question about the lag... do you mean going from 2" to 3" exhaust or about shifting from second to third? if you're talking about my turbo lag, it does take around half a second to spool up if i'm at medium rpm's.
you might even want to look into putting a ls1 in that c4, the junk yards are littered with them and they make great power. plus you could actually possibly get about 30mpg in that lighter c4 they got 28 in the c5.
i might. that was actually my first idea, but there's got to be some extra work done to get it into the chassis. i know for a fact the lt1 will drop right in with no problem. i am attracted to the top end of the ls1, though.
oh, i know! the quad cam 4v/cyl... just plain awesome. you're right about that, but it would also cost quite a bit to get the engine. i don't know what it would be priced at compared to the ls, though. i'll look into that.
how much power are you getting out of that prelude? it is good to talk to some body that actually knows there stuff. so many honda guys don't know there ass from a hole in the ground i had a guy in a beat up little crx actually try to race me, i never even got to 4th gear, i should have put money on it before i beat him lol
i totally understand. i just try not to limit myself to just one make like so many other people. i'll admit i was once a honda guy, but meeting so many closed-minded folks changed my outlook. there are so many more possibilities when you don't limit yourself.
as for the prelude - i haven't had it dynoed yet. the fuel curve is good, but i'm running on an ignition basemap and i need to tune that. but after all that i'm expecting somewhere around ~250 whp.
i agree i supose i am a ford guy but that is just my favorite domestic car brand but i am not dence and i know that ther is alot of grat cars being built in the world that dont come from america. ther is a car company i think you might get a kick out of it is calld tatra one of my top five favorite car companys "hans ludwinka was a genius" you should check them out they are frome the czech republic emenceley great cars.
lol, ahh are prelude motors never fail to have a bit of rocker knock now do they... but thats a sick Lude man, i give you props for having a sleeper with the stock sawblades and the stock ride height. more vids please! and how much PSI?
actually, all the valves are nice and tight. i check them regularly whenever i hear too much noise from under the hood. thank you. i like the sawblades. why get more wheels when these are nice and light anyway? it's lowered 1.5", so you can't really tell.
right now on the t3/t4 it's on 12 psi. it's already getting annoying with wheelspin, so i don't want much more power.
well the Prelude B series is just a loud motor anyways. dont worry cause mine is too. and yeah i wasnt saying replace the saw blades i was just saying they were clean and intact.
yeah 12psi makes 2nd gear pointless for WOT i bet. and maybe a part of 3rd.
i know you weren't saying to replace them. that's just my way of thinking... "why waste good wheels?" btw, a trick to making the sawblades look like new is to strip the clearcoat off of them. makes a world of difference.
second gear somewhat sticks now that i've replaced my old set of azenis. i can't wait to take it to the line now.
i think it's kinda ghey. can't wait for your rear tire to melt when you're racing on the interstate. haha! that's bad man. i can't wait to see it when you get home. hurry up phoo!
lol so i've heard that i'm shooting little fireballs out the side when i'm shifting. i only wish i could see it myself. i'm sure you'll be able to see it from your distant view. it should be bright enough. =P
i'll definitly video tape it. can you get a video at night? like reving up or something? or is it only when you shift? my rx7 would only do it on the highway or something after sustained pressure.
Hmm..
Why dont you put a 2step, anti-lag system?

if you wanna go crazy you could track down a lt5 out of a zr1. it would actually be worth a lot of money when it was done.

there has to be a heavy load on it, usually going into second or third.
