  • can you plz write the deck lisy for time sieve deck?:)

  • @4:00 you should have sac'd your time sieve, 2 howling mines and 2 artifacts that act as lands to get the extra turn before letting your open the vaults resolve :)

  • I'm curious as to why Bryan didn't use Cryptic Command on Stan's second Tezzeret as opposed to whatever he used it on before? If Stan only had two Tezzerets and the second one was on the bottom of his library, that probably would have won Bryan the game. Was that a mistake on his part or did he want to play the match out and showcase the deck?

Also, it looks like Stan could have gotten off quicker than he actually did. Is this, on average, as fast as the time sieve deck can go?

  • stan wan'ted to show brain who's boss by doing 55 damage, doing 30 is for scrubs! =O

  • At :35, you cast Borderpost (screen to see 6 lands) for 2 mana (4 left).

    Roflcopter

  • yup, Stan's a cheater. I think we already established this though.

  • Stan Bessy, Planes Walker - Stan.

+1 Search your library for a instant and put it into your hand.

-2 Your opponent wont play spells this turn.

-5 You win the game, if you control Stan's Pro skills.

  • Sure sure sure.

i be bryan's is something like

+3 Blow up no creature perm

-2 Gain control of target creature

-8 Target player discards 7 cards, destroys 7 perms and loses 7 life...

    ....... :X

  • Bryan Greer , PlanesWalker - Bryan

    +1 Don't shave

    -2 Shave a little

    -8 Shave.

    haha

  • stan is an asshole

  • I'll tell him, but I'm sure he knows.

  • *cough* 4 meddling mage mainboard

  • at 3:55, just cast timewarp and kill him lol no need to open the vaults again

  • countering the open the vaults was def. not the correct play.

knowing from earlier, stan's second tezzy was cliqued away so assuming he has 2 (like most builds) all bryan had to do was wait for stan to cast the tezzy and then bryan counters it and bryan wins. Granted stan had his own cryptic, but still, countering tezzeret is the correct play

  • the amount of cards he has drawn and the amount of turns taken it is very likely that he had multiple ways to protect anything I did from a counter.

  • At that point it is probably better to wait on cryptic for tezzeret but as was mentioned Stan would just wait for Cryptic to show up if he didnt have have it. Also, mainDECK, mainboards dont exist. Its a pet pieve of Stan's that he has passed on to me.

  • I disagree with Stan even if he did counter tezz, the combo deck can still kill with jace's mill ability

  • not every game can you win with a jace. That is A LOT of turns. And stan bessy already discarded one jace, so who knew where the other one was? could have been on the bottom, or the next draw. and, stan was limited to 1-2 open the vaults and 3 time warps, and with that many artifacts, maybe another turn or two, so 6-7 turns. So enough to mill with jace once. but, since bryan bounced the mine earlier, he was ahead on cards, so this game, stan proabably would deck himself before milling bryan

  • i do agree, that some games you can get there. not this one though. and jace does not always get there, only sometimes.

  • pretty sure border posts cost 3??

  • Stan, you can pay one and return a land to your hand to play the borederpost.

  • I think you're right. It looked like he only tapped 2 lands when he hardcast the Borderpost.

  • I'm pretty sure stan is a cheater. I'm going to call him out next time ;)

  • Instead of discarding the second path to exile I would discard jace or Baneslayer #2 because that sets up mulldrifter into path, then archmage with two mana

I would not use the cryptic to bounce the howling mine. There are better things to do with a cryptic than even up thte howling mine CA war

You wait for the archmage. I would cast clique EOT to see if it is safe. Keep in mind that if mulldrifter had been cast then pathed that you would be able to cast cryptic plus clique in the same turn.

  • i dont know about anyone else but if i spend $20 or so on a cryptic command i wanna keep it in the best condition possible lolz. I cringe when this guy bends his cards when he plays them. Maybe its just me xD

  • My post continues here

I would not go for the draw phase clique here because you want mana open so that you can counter important plays.

I would most definitely take the Cryptic so that you can force through archmage

  • Pedro. unfortunately I hadnt played this match up enough to really know plays well enough. this was our second walkthrough of the game and I still didn't feel comfortable with it.

  • It is probably on of the most challenging to play. I learned it only after playing a good wealth of Time Sieve decks when it got very popular on MWS.

  • Yeah, I never bend my cards like that, nor do I do any of the drawing maneuvers the Revillark deck's player was using to get his cards from his library.

  • Stan or Bryan?

Stan has a bad habit that he knows about when he plays cards where he flicks them heavily

  • its funny how the combo deck would be dead by now to an aggro deck, pollen lullaby isnt gonna save you my friend.

  • Comment removed

  • oh yeah, aggro can totally overrun this deck when it plays pollen/silence/cryptic command

  • yes it can, i consistently overrun this deck. blightning aggro ftw

  • this format going to die soon :(

  • and you played 2 lands on one of your turns :=)

    keep it up

  • first to watch and comment... must say worse than other cause of quality

  • video quality? check in 30 minutes and it looks much better
