I sang Prayer of the Children in choir, and we had someone do ASL with a spotlight and it was breathtaking. I love how they have a boy soprano in this version. Absolutly beautiful
Yes, its called the breaking of the fellowship in lotr. Its one of my most favorite classical pieces, and was delighted to see a tabernacle choir edition.
If a tin-whistle is truely made of tin then it does sound very woody. Almost recorder like. I have no idea but if it indeed is a tin-whistle let it be
it's a piccolo that makes that sound, that's that instument. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir by the way is a Latter Day Saint choir. They sing songs of inspiration and are wondrfull. I love the MoTab!
Not a piccolo--it is a pennywhistle, sometimes called a tin or Irish whistle. This one is in the key of D --the most common, but they come in all different keys thus varying in length. They have such a haunting sound.
This was from a special performance in which the Chior sang different songs from Hollywood and Broadway. The CD is called Showtunes and I think the DVD is of the same name. Yes the Song is From the Lord Of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
