BeMyFirst, luckily for you there is a way for you to know what they are saying without having to study Japanese, not only is there a translated script of the game on GameFAQs, there are also English subbed videos of the game on lanyn's channel, you should check them out.

Wow! It looks like the Bosses are smart in this game. When Saleh got cornered, he'd run to another area on the field.

Damn i wish this game would be released in english...but namco is considering bringing more tales games over here so...the remake for tales of rebirth for PSP could have a chance of making it over here. ^_^

What kind of attacks do these guys use? It's hard to interpret from all the violence. Tohma looks as if he's using his own variation of Gravity Well, Saleh has Flare Tornado, but there are others I don't know.

Saleh has wind attacks like, Wind Edge and Gusty Nail.

While Tohma has Magnetic based attacks.

Saleh also has Chikzazame.

Yeah, he's got that one attack that can instant kill any of my party members even at their max HP, which was a bit annoying, but made the fight all the more fun.

We lucked out at the end and got to finish him off with that Hi-ougi which was cool.

Sorry to offer better advice, but if Saleh does not have a one-hit kill thing, and Toma uses it after Saleh is dead. So...

The problem with that, though, is that Saleh has about 1/2 the HP that Tohma has as well as lower defense. Even if you have only one character going after Saleh while everyone else goes after Tohma, you can pretty easily kill Saleh first.

Also, besides the instant KO attack, Tohma is pretty harmless, whereas Saleh's spells can tear your party to shreds in less than a minute if you let him go unchecked.

Ah, too true. So if you can dodge well, and can see the attack coming, it is better to go after Saleh first before finishing Tohma.

Well, if you're using 3 melees (which I recommend), you can just beat the crap out of Tohma without him being able to do much of anything at all, so you don't even have to worry about the attack.
