  • Some of the screws you could of screwed from the inside out and if you did not go all the way through you would have no problem.

  • Cheaper just getting from Ikea.

  • @infinera06

You still can't get the point?!!!

No Ikea or any similar shit will last like this one.

  • Great video thanks for sharing it. This looks exactly like the kind of bed I was looking to construct. The blog was extra helpful to see what kind of extra brackets and things you used!

  • Has it seen much action? ;-)

  • Nice guy. Great bed; but please tell me you will all watch a master crafts person demonstrate furniture construction. This man should work for IKEA or Walmart or something. Building great furniture doesn't take much more energy or time. if mediocre is ok this is ok. watch videoes on joinery first brfore you design and build

  • I would of used some simpson strong ties myself.

  • how did u get it in the house?

  • @wadeankary A standard doorway is 2m tall by 1m wide (or 80cm wide). The bed is just under 2m wide (193cm), so if you turn it on its side, you can get it through the door just fine.

  • anyone else notice he keeps saying the same thing over and over.

  • awwww cute cat to!

  • i made a strong as frame with 4'' X 4'' corner posts with heavy duty shackles bolted through for bondage pruposes. The thing is so solid it never moves under hard sex

  • awesome job! beautiful bed. I would like to make one all the time. But I am really new to woodworking. Just bought a small miter saw the other day.

Could you please post the plan? I may need to ask the store to cut the boards for me. Thank you so much!

  • @MsChemeng Thanks, but I don't have the plan anymore. It was really more like a simple drawing on a piece of paper, plus the measurements I'd worked out ahead of time. I probably threw it away when I was done with the bed. Sorry.

  • what kind of wood are you using?

  • @Kokia08 It's pine.

  • great vid. man one of a kind hope u can tell me how much u spend on your project

  • @Diabloscampeones9 If you watch Part 2, you'll find out. I can't recall what I said when I made it, I think it was between $100-200.

  • those are 3x3's?

im planing on making me a single and wanna know what is a good diameter for the frame

  • @xdsk0x The diameter of the frame can turn into a design element as well. Make it as thick as you want to, but make sure it's thick enough to support your body weight. Go to the lumber department of your store, pick out a beam the length of your bed, and see how it supports your body weight.

  • @raoulpop i work at a lumber yard so getting the wood will be no prob. :) i was just wondering what you used since i like the design you went with

  • @xdsk0x Awesome! Extra thick wood would really bring out the bed frame, and you can also profile it -- introduce ridges, or an arch on the bottom side of the beam. Perhaps you have access to that sort of machinery over there?

  • @raoulpop yeah ima go with 4x4s to make it stand out, and im going to see what i come up with as far as profiling goes since i do have access to tools at my job... thanks for your help :)

  • your cool. f# the overpriced junk! You inspire me! gave me hope I can do it! but mine probably won't look as good! haha

  • @MikeM3113 Thanks Mike!
