Sometimes we need folks to do our murdering. Sometimes we do. But we shouldn't think that our soldiers are somehow ethical or moral just for being soldiers. We do owe them a debt for doing a job we don't want to do - the job of killing people in other countries.

@LordLazaar to say that the american soldier is predisposed to carry out the act of rape, simply because he is an American, is both fallacious and irresponsible. I'd like to see the statics of other major war campaigns, such as the former U.S.S.R. and Afghanistan. I' think that conclusive evidence would show that waR breeds animals, not the country for which they stand. The average American is not of a predisposition to be as heinous as the rest of the world would like to suggest.

@clemenza1234 You're right but a soldier knows when to disobey a direct order that goes against human rights. Whats happening right now is alot of the soldiers are being fooled into believing they are fighting some foreign enemy when in FACT there was NO WMD's found in Iraq, Bin Ladin never took credit for 9/11, the Bid Ladin family & Bush family are close friends, why was the 80+vids missing from the crash at the pentagon, why are U.S. soldier protecting the poppy fields in Afghanistan.

lots of people who join the army do so because they have nothing to live for and they figure they might as well die with some kind of honor instead of just killing themselves right away. the army sets the bar low for the mental health of their soldiers, so all it takes for someone who is on the verge of developing a disorder is killing another human being. after that it just spreads like wildfire throughout your brain and begins controlling you because you've been desensitized
