That's why he's a great villain...being skilled with a sword and dark magic, plus a hands-on attitude, makes him more menacing than some lazy a-hole who just sits in a castle or bunker and barks orders to minions. He earns respect as well as hatred.

I love this show. Richard and Kahlan are so amazing. They really love eachother and over and over it is shown that they they don't just like one another and its not just physical attraction or anything shallow like that. They truely, deeply, love one another and even if they could NEVER be with one another in such a way they still do not wish to be parted.
