the pre-shimmed gear set is supposed to be smooth and quiet, but it doesn't sound impressively different from a low to middle "class" shimmed conventional gears, perhaps the motor is not properly set yet?
I agree the sound is not so good, it's seems to be a marui class motor, maybe the new version of the kit with a G&P motor will be good. In my XM177 wgc custom (G&P) after a good shimming, the sound was just awesome, I think with the kit it will be like that or better !

I plan on getting a FTK for my MP5 (when I have £100 spare!) but I wish they did them at lower powers. I think an M110 would be a bit hot for urban sites in Britian. An 85 or 90 would be ideal.
Torque up can pull M130 easily. Top Gear should be used with M90 or under.
I personally have 2 TM AK's; 1 running Modify modular Torgue Up gears with a Modify M130 spring, the other running High Speed Modify modular gears pulling a King Arms M100 spring...both setups on 11.1v LiPo.
what is the c-rating on your lipo?
is it ok to use a 12c 11.1 lipo with your same exact set up?

Lol I like how you get your two shell halves together with an M140 spring while my M85 took me a bit to not have anything fly off xD
