I love Conan and his sense of humour but there was probably only a 50/50 chance he was going to succeed with the Tonight Show slot. Making people laugh isn't easy because every demographic has different tastes; the 11:35 slot had alot of conservative and older generation people tuning in after their communities' evening news. Sadly, those drones need Leno's predictableness while Conan's act probably confused and scared them.
Man I wish I could make a time machine and go back in time to change history so that Conan would just remain at Late Night where he belonged. In my opinion, when Conan took over Late Night from Letterman, he not only filled the shoes properly but elevated the show to a new and more modern level.

Yeah I seen Stern on Late Night with Conan.....And he did say Conan should watch out Jay is a person who hides in closets to eavesdrop and Make his way ahead....Jay is a Shady person he hung around knowing his 10 o clock show would be cancelled just so he can take the tonight show back...Anyone else would have jumped off the sinking ship known as NBC and went to a different network...I hope Conan does well on TBS. but hell he still has 40 million dollars.

If you guys has Sirius you would have known that Howard Stern, not Artie Lang, made the prediction that Conan's move to LA would prove to be a bad one. Artie just agreed with Howard's explanation as to why the move would be bad and then he used that Stern comment here. GET SIRIUS SATELLITE!!!

Hes really not though, Artie started using it as Schtick kinda like Dean Martin always pretending to be drunk. Alot of Artie's behavior, Sluggishness, weight gain, etc was due to the subutex that he was taking to kick the heroin. He looks awful here though.
This is the appearance that got him banned from Conan pretty much, NBC in their infinite wisdom (sarcasm) said they couldnt have him on anymore because they really believed he was stoned.

I love Conan and his sense of humour but there was probably only a 50/50 chance he was going to succeed with the Tonight Show slot. Making people laugh isn't easy because every demographic has different tastes; the 11:35 slot had alot of conservative and older generation people tuning in after their communities' evening news. Sadly, those drones need Leno's predictableness while Conan's act probably confused and scared them.

Man I wish I could make a time machine and go back in time to change history so that Conan would just remain at Late Night where he belonged. In my opinion, when Conan took over Late Night from Letterman, he not only filled the shoes properly but elevated the show to a new and more modern level.
