Wow, I love that people are getting it! We love America and just don't want to spend or fight it to death. We want to stop giving special interest to big corps. Ron and Rand have both seen this.. Sounds like Dad did a good job!! Ron Paul 2012!
My criticism of Rand Paul is he seems to have climbed into bed with the neocon faction of the teaparty movement. He is now saying that the US should do everything to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons (a far cry from his professed noninterventionism.) He stuck up for BP. Criticizing BP and holding them responsible is completely consistent with his strict Constitutionalism. Government is supposed to protect private property and BP clearly destroyed such.
So you believe we deserved better representation than Ronald Reagan, Dwight D Eisenhauer, and Richard Nixon because they cut and ran from military operations.
Nixon cut and ran from Vietnam.
Reagan cut and ran from Lebanon.
Eisenhauer cut and ran from Korea.
Apologizing? Yes we should apologize for killing over a million Iraqis when they were innocent of the crimes we claimed they committed. If you disagree, you are a sociopath.
@MrConservativeTalk....you are worse enemy to true Republicans than Obama. You are what Rand runs against and I hope he and others liek him becomes a thorn in your side for the rest of your political life. Rand is for what Washington and Jefferson stood for and your neocon loving losers like what stands for GOP leadership nowadays are what I am against...big government.
@kingofmilwaukee Exactly. He is a Wilsonian Trotskyist. He is as anti-american as they come. He is a betrayer of this nation and its Constitution. He would love Nazism. He is grossly ignorant of political terminology. He calls Ron and Rand Paul far right on economics. Both are economic minarchists, damn near anarchists and anarchism is far left wing according the classical definition of right and left wings of the political spectrum. Of course he learned eveything from Rush and Hannity.
Rand Paul is a liberal. He believes that we should cut defense spending, missle defense, and bring every soldiers home from the middle-east before we win. Paul is also a closet-racist who wants to shut down the FDA.
@MrConservativeTalk Paul is also a closet-racist who wants to shut down the FDA. He's racist because he wants to shut down the FDA? You are politically naive if you think that Rand Paul is a liberal. Is he, then, for welfare programs and progressive legislation. You need to put on your thinking cap before posting!
@whiff1962 He is not racist because he wants to shut down the FDA, I did not mean to imply that. On economic issues, Rand Paul is considered far-right. But on foreign policy and social issues, he is more in line with liberal democrats than he is with moderates and conservatives.
@MrConservativeTalk Well, your juxtaposing the two notions was rather awkward. As far as the issue of our present wars, well, that is a Constitutional question, not a Liberal democratic one: Dr. Paul's argument against such foreign entanglement is informed by the Constitution, and not some liberal democratic world ideal. One argument is actually Conservative; the other international and socialistic. Moreover, many democrats did vote for going to war; libertarians would more than likely oppose.

I don't think hard on should be hyphenated, though I may be incorrect.
You over use the ellipsis (...). You shouldn't have more than one per sentence and you are using them to string together run on sentences. It is also best to put a space at the end of one like you would after a coma.
*lots (No apostrophe)
"We are not full Southern Avenger" makes little sense. By full did you mean fooled or was there a part of the video where he suggested you were full?
@andone00 Thank you for exposing the real Rand and Ron Paul. America deserves better representation in congress than people who seek to cut defense spending, cut and run from the middle-east, and who want to join Obama in appoligizing for America. Thank you for your efforts.
Yay for government! They make every ill in this world right..dont consumer have the right to know what sort of business they are buying from?? Why should I blindly be allowed to purchase and give my money to a racist or sexist? Hell, let businesses kick out blacks, whites, hispanics or any group for that matter. I guarantee the free market will make that business very short lived. If it stays in business then we are all guilty.
This isn't some meaningless slander by us "race-obsessed" liberals. Paul is suggesting that private businesses have the right to deny services to minorities. I'd say that's worth some attention!
And no, it is not irrelevant today! What if a restaurant refused to serve hispanics because some of them are illegal immigrants? You think that couldn't happen?
Your defense of Rand Paul's racism is sickening, and it dishonors you!
The new messiah, son of Ron, stuck his own foot in his mouth on Rachel's show. She never called him a racist and she let him talk without interruption. He dodge her simple question on public accommodations. As someone who grew up in the south, I was amazed at how uniform Rand was on the history and the law.
As far as I'm concerned, it's not a question of "letting the states decide". What is essentially the base of the argument comes down to this: "Is it legal for private businesses to profile based on any criteria?" Malicious federal lawsuits are a threat, yes, but this is what the voting process is for, and this is what counter-suits are for. Taking away my right to patronage by choice because of a few bad-apple lawsuits is just as bad as arguing for a return to segregation.
neocon must be struck down. Rand, you did a good job but remember primitive language psychology and textual theories are never any reality. You have to really learn more about postmodern existentialism and libertarianism evolving conservative Americans. Don't be stuck by S African apartheid hided Zionist's influence. They stripped African's liberty and they are now in a dead end.
What I think SA is forgetting is that the country isn't totally desegregated, even 50 years after the signing of the Civil Rights Act of '64. You still have some parts of town where various races are not welcome and are made to KNOW it sub-consciously before they even get there, and there are some businesses that still discriminate, despite the law. Saying that "free market" consciousness will fix this issue is ill-advised and also out of touch with reality.
It's not ill-advised at all. Your admission that civil rights legislation didn't have a sweeping effect should be seen as further evidence that, If people want to segregate, you have to let them.
There will always be people who wish to segregate, and there will be those who choose to integrate. True integration can only happen voluntarily.
@LibertaerUeberAlles So in that same sense, should I be forced out of restaurants, grocery stores, housing, auto loans, and anything else that's "private" on the basis that I'm bisexual and neo-pagan? "Free market integration" ideals only work when the integrators are in the majority, and I *highly* doubt that that's the case currently. Are you just telling me in that instance "good luck, hope you find X Service that'll accept you"?
@LibertaerUeberAlles Civil rights always seems like a flimsy argument for more government control when you're not a potential target of discrimination or when you have the resources to be able to work around it, doesn't it? This is why people in Rand's camp annoy the hell out of me: Have they ever had to deal with discrimination? I doubt it. Do I doubt their commitment to civil rights? No, but I'd appreciate more than an " 'atta boy" when the sh*t hits the proverbial fan.
I see your point. I'm inclined to let states and municipalities pass such regulations, especially when it concerns finite resources such as housing/shopping districts near city/industry centers.
The biggest concern I have is that business owners get subjected to malicious federal lawsuits. Consider that many earn no more than their employees; hence, these types of laws limit the existence of small business and instead favor large, internationally owned corps with legal departments.
Rand wonts to pull back the out of control spending, make the fed accountable, stop bombing weddings in Pakistan, and restore the constitution What!!! He must be a RACIST!!! Wake the fuck up!!
What's with this "hysterical" epithet hurled at Rachel Maddow, first by Palin, now by Jack Hunter? Maddow is the least "hysterical" pundit I'ver ever seen. She doesn't hold a candle to Limbaugh, Beck or O'Reilly in this department.
I saw the interview. Regardless of the irrelevancy of Maddow's line of questioning, Paul hedged and evaded as artfully as any Washington long-timer. This doesn't bode well for Paul.
And FYI, Goldwater voted against the Civil Rights Act.
too bad Rand is ignorant about the Massey coal mine accident and BP's oil rigg explosion. just youtube "countdown rand paul" to see rand say "sometimes accidents just happen" ignoring the fact that both BP and Massey are guilty of negligence
The GOP is incapable of understanding what's happening. They don't understand blow back in US foreign policy, and they don't understand the political blow back that arises from them doubling the national debt and bailing out Wall Street banksters. McConnell's days are numbered, even if he doesn't know it yet. You're in denial, hippie!
I've been a very active member of Rand's grassroots activists here in Kentucky. McConnell held a big Republican Unity Rally today. The grassroots supporters were the bastard stepchildren, forced to eat at the kid's table. Whatever.
It was vindicating to hear McConnell introduce Rand as "Kentucky's next senator" and hear Grayson say his politically obliged "rally behind our candidate" stuff, after Mitch & Trey had just run such a brutally dirty campaign of lies and vicious attacks.
Dr.Ron Paul, Adam Smith die long long long time ago. His idea dies also for society already passed that economic stage. Dr. Paul, have seen any passed economy system revive? Tell me a country living under "Free Market" capitalism? Under capitalism the only people free to do what they want r the capitalist. When you say you want free market and "end federal government" you really mean leave the capitalist completely free to suck our blood. You are a demagogue, Sir. And your son is a racist.
Hey Jack, I was all for Rand Paul until he kept talking around this segregation issue like a typical politician. He seems to have some sort of moral blind spot. If you're for the privatization of everything and private businesses can exercise prejudices, then you will have widespread inequality - it doesn't need to be institutional. So you either accept the federal intrusion or you accept a segregated society. He says you can have your cake and eat it, just like a politician.
@granulorhoek The Founders would strongly disagree with this oversimplification and the false 'choice' you give is pathetic. Fear and restraint of the power of the Federal does not equate to acceptance of segregation. It is tolerance of those who have views you do not share. Freedom here is being twisted by race baiters as oppression of minorities.
I am a leftist, and I have no problem with Rand Paul. His old style paleoconservatism is at least honest. If he is anything like the late Barry Goldwater, liberals ought to at least consider him an ally where it really counts on foreign policy with his insistence of the US out of the Middle East. On social issues, he could be possibly a supporter of gay & lesbian equality. Wishy washy corporate centrists in the Democratic Party and neoconservative hawks in the GOP are both equally destructive.
@PsychoPunk1965 You are a very wise leftist, my pshycho punk friend! If only more people were honest free thinkers instead of spewing out the typical left-right drivel they hear on their favorite network. Then we could have a meaningful and honest dialogue.
@JamesandTiffanyLyn Thank you, and I pride myself of thinking outside the box. Just a few years ago when I saw some on talk radio and on Fox News attack Ron Paul in the same way they attack the left, I realize that it is no longer a "left versus right paradigm." It is turning out to be progressive populist-democratic left/paleoconservative-libertarian on the same side with PC-wishy washy liberal/neocon-theocon types on the other side. Left-Right versus Left-Right.
Vote them all out and demand that the New Congress enforce our laws and take back control of our currency.
Our country fell to organized crime a long time ago. The "Greatest Generation" and their spawn, the baby boomers, have spent their entire lives ignoring the destruction of liberty, and spending the plunder of ill gotten gains. These fools watched their own president get his head blown off, and did nothing! They watched as fascists sat themselves down at the levers of power.
Hang in there, SA......As more Americans find out their "history" books in school have lied to them about the Founding Fathers (Google the Texas School Book situation), this country will return to true American values.
@godofthisshit. i really hate the fact that whites in america think of blacks as incapable. if i were black and a restaurant would not serve me based on the color of my skin, my immediate answer would be to open something with better quality, better service and accessibilty to all races, next door. that is how barriers are really broken down. think jesse owens, tiger woods, lewis hamilton, cullen jones et al
Good points but all those historic figures you named had an open field. What if the respective sports still banned all non white people? Look at the Roonie rule in the NFL. By making the rule that a team have to interview at least 1 minority for H.coach, it force the owners to broaden it's view and actually stumble upon some good coaches who would not have been hired otherwise.
@godofthisshit o yea because there needs too be more diverse coaches in the nfl, since now theres almost no more whites in the players position now they have to move on to coaching and other sports teams, u liberals are soo anti white u know that
Sports is pretty straight forwards. Usually the best known players get in, so if there's isn't many white pro players it's because they are being out competed. It sure isn't from a lack of resources or interest.
It's simple: White players who can play on a pro level will be in the pros.
Great video Jack. Incidentally, the day Rand Paul won the Republican primary, Hannity had the audacity to invite that double agent Michelle Bachmann as a proxy to the tea party movement to speak about his victory.
straight people should start flooding gay clubs en mass in the hope that they'll reserve admission. then we can sue for discrimination. likewise, rednecks should start attending rap concerts en mass. these people need a little of their own medicine
He has proven to not be savy enough to lead any kind of revolution. His "accidents happen" approach to the BP spill is also laughable when looking at BPs history
The MSM and both parties are running scared. The people are now awake; both parties are losing control. The poll numbers show that people want a total housecleaning in Washington. The midterm elections in 2010 will be historic!
The progressive liberal media wants to basically cripple Paul's campaign, and the neoconservatives could care less what happens. I don't know if Paul has a chance to win that senate race anymore because they are gonna use this as a smear tactic throughout the whole campaign. Paul is correct on this issue however. If Paul can somehow win this Senate race in November, he will not have to worry about returning any political favors, as no one has defended him on this. He'll be independent from them.
"Rand Paul doesn't like arsonists, but doesn't believe firefighters should step in to stop their fires." I can't really tell if people are joking when they say things like that anymore. But I think have a very poor grasp on varying severity anymore.
--- Scary Mother Fucker's Line Thinking it = Not that big of a deal --- Liberal's line Verbally stating it = Makes you an asshole --- Moderate's Line Denial of service = Makes you a REALLY big asshole --- Rand Paul's line Harassment = Petty crime --- Early 20th Century line Assault = Misdemeanor --- 19th Century line Murder = Felony --- Scary Mother Fucker's Line
It should be noted that, already, liberal bastions like the NY Times and Huffington Post are devoting stories to slandering Rand Paul, calling his libertarianism "remarkably coldblooded and inhumane."
I read a Washington Post article right after the victory that made a big deal out of Paul's admission that there shouldn't be any interference if a business denied blacks service. They know as a libertarian he doesnt like such interference so they calculate the question to make him look tolerant of racism- and therefore a secret racist. I am cynical about these things. When both the left/right establishment want to defame someone the media machine can make it happen.
The left used Rand Paul's libertarian views against him.
.
At the end of the day this is a distraction, a waste of time and a non-issue. It's a politically motivated attacks by the left to make Rand look like a bad guy. Waste of time.
James Clyburn was on Olberman last night saying " Rand Paul is one of these nuts that thinks people should be able to do whatever they want". LOL WTF??!
Both sides seem to have this guy all wrong imo. I highly doubt he's a racist, he was just criticizing all the extra stuff in the Civil Rights Act. As for the right wing, they should really be embracing him instead of ignoring him. I say it all the time, but I would take the GOP far more seriously if it returned to its libertarian roots and gave up all this militant neocon and social bullshit.
I look forward to an American Presidential candidate who will work under the guidelines set forth by the Socialist Party, without hiding behind the laziest facades in the U.S. Political system; i.e. the Republican, and Democratic Party.
Squeal you neocon pigs, squeal! It's music to my ears. And I so look forward to seeing the far left liberal Democrats thrown out this fall. I've never in my life have seen a worse congress in all respects.
I supported Ron Paul in his presidential bid in 2008. Rand Paul's comments about BP in some ways make me fearful about a purist libertarian. I don't like the idea of a politician saying that I wouldn't like it but thats the free market for you. I do want some oversight. In Rand Paul's perfect world, China shipping us toys with lead paint would clear itself up because people would learn not to buy the toys when their kids start dieing.
@johnqpublic81 dude you misrepresented Paul's views. If you rely on the mainstream media narrative, you aren't gonna get the real facts. Paul is cool with regulation on oil drilling, and hasn't said anything to the contrary.
Stop listening to Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Neal Bortz, and Mark Lavin. They don't have your best interests at heart. THEY LIE!
Rand Paul failed to realize that BP ignored the minimal regulations. He said that accidents happen. Accidents happen as a result of failing to do safety checks. There was no narrative, there was no hit job, Rachel Maddow simply brought up the subject as a result of his earlier interview. He screwed up and payed the price.
The establishment is scared of having someone in the senate which they cannot control. Anything which serves to limit the size and scope of federal gov't power which subsequently upsets the establishment (which has destroyed this countries wealth and liberty) is a step forward for this country. Go Rand Paul...
Racism is the belief that race is a primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority or inferiority of a particular race.
In institutional racism, certain racial groups may be denied rights or given special privileges or benefits, or receive preferential treatment. (Affirmative action)
Liberals & Progressive Social-Fascists are RACISTS who use RACISM as a WEAPON to forward Statism and RACIST charges to quash debate!
If some men are entitled by rights to products of the work of others, it means that those others being forced to provide are deprived of their rights and are condemned to slave labor. There can be no such thing as the right to enslave even for the welfare of others. - Ayn Rand
Statist Progressives, Liberals, Socialists & Fascists (D & R) endorse Big Govt SLAVERY. The 50% who pay taxes are SLAVES to the 50% who don't & all are Slaves to the crony political class & their Oligarchy owners.
@lezlitaz Copy and repeat it often as it is the opposite of what is programmed into children and young adults who attend gov't schools. We must deprogram the socialism and reprogram this with the fierce independance that defends individual liberty vs collective slavery.
To be fair, Scott Brown won a seat, Rand only won the Republican primary. I still see your point though, people were wetting their pants over that RINO.
It depresses me how right you are about this. All MSNBC did yesterday was talking about "Rand the Racist". And Fox News was eerily silent. Very, very disappointing.
Jack, great points around 4:20. Neo talk show hosts could not stop talking about Liberal Rino Scott Brown's senate victory, and yet they dismiss Rand Paul's 'Randslide' victory over their own neo con appointment Grayson. LOL LOL LOL LOL
One can only dream about the end of big government and chicken hawk war and banking puppeters. Route them all out as Old Hickory (Andrew Jackson) would say.
@HuxleyWasRight He isn't the great statesman his father is, but he's not running against his father. He's running against status quo politicians unconcerned by principles. If Rand still doesn't have it fully together, he's more on track than his opponents.
@TresJolie7 Hmmm, and I'm a minority. I have lots of latino friends, black friends, from the middle east, asian, indonesian, etc. Oh, and remember, currently the democrats have a former kkk member in the senate: Robert Byrd. That being said, I'm still going to support Dr. Rand Paul.
Jack, in all fairness, whether or not it's possible to elect a Democrat senator in Kentucky (lol), he hasn't technically won the election yet. I didn't hear nearly as much clamor out of the golfer and the wall-banger until Brown won the Massachusetts general election. When he wins that, it'll be pretty difficult for them not to talk about it, and still more difficult when he bridges the gulf for efforts like his father's to have fair play in the Senate, or filibusters... anything?
He's only going to be a Senator. One senator can't do much damage to the establishment. I don't think they will take the trouble to assassinate a senator. They usually go after presidents ie. Reagan, Andrew Jackson, not sure who else had an attempt on them.
@purplefetus3 First off, I like how you said "He's only going to be a Senator." Love that enthusiasm. I believe he will win as well.
What I was getting at is that there are only 100 senators. He now holds 1/100th of the citizen vote. That is pretty darn huge. No presidents these days have to worry about establishment assassination since they are all establishment made. Reagan had no power. He was merely a puppet. Andrew Jackson on the other hand(as well as Kennedy) spoke freely.
Reagan was MADE into a puppet. He wasn't in the very begining. But the Bush regime got to him early on. John Hinckley, the assassin, had some very close ties with the Bush family.
We need more than one senator to get things moving. Hopefully Schiff will have a good fight and get in there in CT.
But talks of an assassination attempt on Rand is quite silly. Not gonna happen.
hi i'm david frum. i hate america and i love israel. i love the grip my zionist masters have on america. it best serves israel. screw the american tax payer.
i also have a fetish for democracy despite being in the REPUBLICan party.
the constitution is dangerous. it only protects terrorists. did i forget to mention i want to wipe palestinians off the face of the earth and turn the middle east, and eventually the whole world, into israel?
rand paul is better than most but you must face the facts that he supports the federal occupation of foreign lands and he wants to lock peaceful marijuana users in a cage.
and as far as jim crow laws in South Carolina go those were established in 1865 when our government was made up of carpetbaggers and illiterates.
Hmmm....let's see. So the corporatist controlled MSM doesn't waste any time attacking anti-establishment candidate Rand Paul. Perhaps he is for real! I'm taking it as a good sign. As always, good job taking out the trash SA!
I was also pleased to see Rand Paul defeat his neo-con opponent...although his backsliding on the issues of closing Guantanamo and sending endless amounts of foreign aid to Israel do cause some concern.
I wonder if Rand really is are unorthodox as his father. He has been showing signs of being quite willing to compromise with the Gingirch types. I hope to be wrong, though.
@fjardim14 The above concern appears to be legitimate. His views on foreign policy are not as anti-interventionist as one might hope. However, the fact that Dick Cheney and those of his ilk consider him antiwar is enough to share some optimism.
The recent attack by the left, with yet another false charge of racism against a political opponent, has grown tiresome. Crying wolf on this issue has become pervasive. Hopefully, Americans will not be naive enough to again fall for such nonsense.
crypto jew maddow, and jew Frum are just mad because Rand is not an Israel firster, and that he doesn't want to keep starting wars against Israel's enemies.
Also Rachel Maddow's MSNBC is owned by GE, the biggest war profiteer in the world. They don't want to start a trend of republicans who are not war mongers.
How is Rand Pauls views on immigration any different from most NeoCons? Ron Paul sucks on immigration and I fear so does Rand. I want to like Rand but he was stupid to go on Maddow, I watched recently when she spent the entire interview with the head of F.A.I.R trying to smear him and the group of Immigration Conservatives as Klansmen.
Great stuff, SA. I wish Rand were a bit more like his dad but it is wonderful to see him smash Grayson and hopefully he signals the end of the Neo-cons as you say.
It's kind of sad that they had to reach back to the 60's to manufacture an attack against Rand (and it was an attack)
A side note: If I was the black guy in that drinking fountain photo I'd have spit in the "white" sink (when nobody was looking of course)
Having said that I'm a little bothered that anyone can spit in my face and be cheered on for it - all based on their assumptions about my character prompted by their own racism.
These unintellectual, jingoists(Hannity and Rush) shall be overcome by a public truly educated and demanding their freedom.
Hannity and Rush are followers not leaders. If people follow their advice--you get (R)corporatists like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Charlie Crist, and Scott Brown.
With allies like Hannity and Rush, who needs Democrats.
Wow, I love that people are getting it! We love America and just don't want to spend or fight it to death. We want to stop giving special interest to big corps. Ron and Rand have both seen this.. Sounds like Dad did a good job!! Ron Paul 2012!

Why should I blindly be allowed to purchase and give my money to a racist or sexist? Hell, let businesses kick out blacks, whites, hispanics or any group for that matter. I guarantee the free market will make that business very short lived. If it stays in business then we are all guilty.

No Rand Paul jumps around the issue like every other politician and doesnt really know what he stands for. good job KY
pdubb54 1 year ago
This isn't some meaningless slander by us "race-obsessed" liberals. Paul is suggesting that private businesses have the right to deny services to minorities. I'd say that's worth some attention!
And no, it is not irrelevant today! What if a restaurant refused to serve hispanics because some of them are illegal immigrants? You think that couldn't happen?
Your defense of Rand Paul's racism is sickening, and it dishonors you!
seltian 1 year ago
The new messiah, son of Ron, stuck his own foot in his mouth on Rachel's show. She never called him a racist and she let him talk without interruption. He dodge her simple question on public accommodations. As someone who grew up in the south, I was amazed at how uniform Rand was on the history and the law.
eelzen 1 year ago
As far as I'm concerned, it's not a question of "letting the states decide". What is essentially the base of the argument comes down to this: "Is it legal for private businesses to profile based on any criteria?" Malicious federal lawsuits are a threat, yes, but this is what the voting process is for, and this is what counter-suits are for. Taking away my right to patronage by choice because of a few bad-apple lawsuits is just as bad as arguing for a return to segregation.

N3row0lf 1 year ago
@N3row0lf
It's not ill-advised at all. Your admission that civil rights legislation didn't have a sweeping effect should be seen as further evidence that, If people want to segregate, you have to let them.
There will always be people who wish to segregate, and there will be those who choose to integrate. True integration can only happen voluntarily.
LibertaerUeberAlles 1 year ago
@LibertaerUeberAlles So in that same sense, should I be forced out of restaurants, grocery stores, housing, auto loans, and anything else that's "private" on the basis that I'm bisexual and neo-pagan? "Free market integration" ideals only work when the integrators are in the majority, and I *highly* doubt that that's the case currently. Are you just telling me in that instance "good luck, hope you find X Service that'll accept you"?
N3row0lf 1 year ago
@LibertaerUeberAlles Civil rights always seems like a flimsy argument for more government control when you're not a potential target of discrimination or when you have the resources to be able to work around it, doesn't it? This is why people in Rand's camp annoy the hell out of me: Have they ever had to deal with discrimination? I doubt it. Do I doubt their commitment to civil rights? No, but I'd appreciate more than an " 'atta boy" when the sh*t hits the proverbial fan.
N3row0lf 1 year ago
@N3row0lf

I saw the interview. Regardless of the irrelevancy of Maddow's line of questioning, Paul hedged and evaded as artfully as any Washington long-timer. This doesn't bode well for Paul.

When you say you want free market and "end federal government" you really mean leave the capitalist completely free to suck our blood. You are a demagogue, Sir. And your son is a racist.
platano1742 1 year ago
Hey Jack, I was all for Rand Paul until he kept talking around this segregation issue like a typical politician. He seems to have some sort of moral blind spot. If you're for the privatization of everything and private businesses can exercise prejudices, then you will have widespread inequality - it doesn't need to be institutional. So you either accept the federal intrusion or you accept a segregated society. He says you can have your cake and eat it, just like a politician.
granulorhoek 1 year ago

@JamesandTiffanyLyn Thank you, and I pride myself of thinking outside the box. Left-Right versus Left-Right.

Sports is pretty straight forwards. Usually the best known players get in, so if there's isn't many white pro players it's because they are being out competed. It sure isn't from a lack of resources or interest.

@Mauhadeeb28
He's only going to be a Senator. One senator can't do much damage to the establishment. I don't think they will take the trouble to assassinate a senator. They usually go after presidents ie. Reagan, Andrew Jackson, not sure who else had an attempt on them.
purplefetus3 1 year ago
@purplefetus3 First off, I like how you said "He's only going to be a Senator." Love that enthusiasm. I believe he will win as well.
What I was getting at is that there are only 100 senators. He now holds 1/100th of the citizen vote. That is pretty darn huge. No presidents these days have to worry about establishment assassination since they are all establishment made. Reagan had no power. He was merely a puppet. Andrew Jackson on the other hand(as well as Kennedy) spoke freely.
Mauhadeeb28 1 year ago 2
@Mauhadeeb28

Another facet of Bizarro World I suppose...

Woohoo! Go Rand.

Well said.
