@DEGBGaming I think that this guitar can play metal, but not as well as other metal guitars. This guitar can play metal, but if you mainly play metal, then I don't really recommend it. It is decent for metal, and I like it, but its better for other genres.

Yeah dude I have the same guitar and with in a month it was almost completely worn off. I ended up taking off the treble plate and pick guard though. I also pinstriped the edge of the guitar.

How is the guitar? Quality and tuning wise.. I was going to get one in Wine Red, but Ive heard some bad reviews.

The guitar is amazing. The only flaw that I have found is that the gold on my humbuckers have worn off, as you can see (I don't mind it, I think it gives the guitar a vintage look but, you know, mabye you don't like that). The tuning keys are nice, not amazing, but the strings stay in tune for a pretty good amount of time. Other than the humbucker covers, the guitar is spectacular. Just like a Gibson Les Paul Studio, the sound, feel, playability, looks, and sustain. I definately recommend it!!!!

Trust me, stick to Amp Distortion. Through my years of playing, I've realized that Pedals suck... Sure they seem like the only way to get a good tone when you first start playing, but trust me, they absolutely suck... If you want good tone, get a Tube Amp, not to sound like a Vintage Douche, cause I'm not... I actually hated people like that, but after unbelievably getting a tube, I never even looked back... Trust me, your tone isn't that great. Use your Amp's Dist..

I would but to tell you the truth, this amp has horrible distortion. I really love the clean channel on this amp, but the distortion is absolutly terrible. If I had a different amp with good distortion, I would never use a distortion pedal. But I do. Thanks for the help, but if you listen to this amps distortion, it is alot worse.

That is true, but to tell you the truth, it's all how you set it up. I used to have the same amp, except in a 15 Watt version, and it's all how you set it up. Good luck with everything!

Hey thanks for asking, I'm using a Fender Frontman 25R Combo Amp with a Digitech Hot Rod Distortion Pedal. I don't really know which guitar is better, but on a scale of 1-5, this guitar is definately a 5! I tried this guitar against a Gibson Studio, this one was just as good. I love the looks, hardware, sound, and feel. Easily best les paul for the price. I would have paid 1,000 for this guitar. I totally recommend this guitar to you or anyone else!
