This film is nicely preserved!! It does look like it wasn't made not too too long ago! Like maybe from the 1970's or something! All the people look so realistic compared to the jittery black and white silent films.

Torquay was a wonderful place back in the last century, but sorry to say now in 2010 it is only a shadow of it's former glory.

Loved the film, thats how i remember the sands, fond memories of that beach IE PEDDLOES, PUNCH N JUDY, WINKLES for tea, sandcastles, the list is endless

I'm from Torquay born and bred. It still is a beautiful place and as for a 16 yr old telling you its's a shithole, he is just a typical teenager who has the chav attitude towards everything in life. He could'nt see beautiful if it were tatooed on his forehead. By the way this footage is fantastic.
