  • U see, this is a fundamental misunderstanding Secular Leftists have when someone says "Christian Nation". By Christian nation, did Sarah Palin mean that Christianity should be the institutional religion of the U.S.? No. Nor did the founders. By Christian nation, they mean a nation that exhibits the principles taught by Christianity and the Bible. This nation was founded on those principles but in the last 50 or so years has drifted away from them.

  • @bRizzle2009100 You're so right.

  • Every student in America prior to the 20th Century was taught that the founding fathers were deeply religious and that our founding documents were based on Godly inspiration and church sermons. After 1900, this information has been deleted from history books in our schools. It was common knowledge for at least the first 100 years of our country. Now we think we know the truth because we have trusted our schools. The truth is in the founding fathers handwriting. You have to read it.

  • @romansten9 "Christianity neither is, nor ever was, a part of the common law."

-Thomas Jefferson (Vol. 1 Whether Christianity is Part of the Common Law (1764))

    Hey, ur right! :D

  • @romansten9 "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..." The Treaty of Tripoli is the law of the land, and Article 11 is quite clear. If you are correct, why did not even one senator have a problem with it when it was ratified?

  • It would of been hipocritical if they said our country will have "freedom of religion" and then only have one religion written about in the documents entirely. So it was politicaly correctness. They have also guarded the constitution, and you, by not allowing any specific state religion.

  • Wasilla's Witless Wonder does it again. :)

  • A good Christian never lets anything as trivial as facts get in the way of trying to get their way.

  • Sarah Palin is mind-bogglingly stupid.

  • Hey Sarah, ever hear of the Treaty of Tripoli?

  • the american 1 dollar bill speaks for itself:

    "in god we trust"

  • Thomas Jefferson most likely didn't write the verbiage about the "Creator" in the Declaration of Independence. Jefferson was the head of a committee of five who drafted the declaration and his first draft that was sent to John Adams (and still exists) does not contain that verbiage. Someone else in the committee later added it, probably not Jefferson.
