Lumines - 160 in 60 sec. mode

i've played this game for about 2-3 years (on and off) average about an hour a day and i can't stop! my record is 153 but i'm gonna beat it and upload a video like yours soon! :)

Could you give me any tips on how to improve my game? Should I use more of the playing field? Should I focus more on the next block that's coming?

Actually, I have been planning on recording another. I've recently hit 190 and am going for 200. I don't know if that'll happen though. Hopefully I'll buy Lumines 2 sometime soon so it will be much easier to record videos because of the replay feature.

i just got the game earlier this month and i suck at it. can someone explain to me, does it have something to do with the colors? like do i have to match them in order to break down the blocks?

Yeah, you match the oranges, whites, etc to make combos. Four touching blocks of the same color gives you a delete. The only thing anyone can tell you with this game is practice. There are strategies out there but the only way to get the most out of the game is to develop your own strategies. And trust me, it will happen. It comes faster to some than others. It took me 3 months to break 100 in time attack. Another 3 months and I was in the 170s. Keep at it and you'll get it.
