  • i wud luvc to get u orange shitheads to come to NYC and the rest of the world to show u that there r no Loyalists....anywhere. Its not cool to be an orange piece of crap anywhere. Actually it sucks....and u can attest to that by being a feckin wanker.

  • are you a mayo man?

  • I'm a yank. The real red, white, and blue fool.

  • "On October 21, 1985, less than two years after his release from prison, White committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning in his garage by running a garden hose from the exhaust pipe to the inside of his car. White had been listening to a recording of Paddy Reilly's rendition of "The Town I Loved So Well" on the car's cassette player. White's body was discovered by his brother, Thomas, shortly before 2 p.m. the same day."

  • ha that's why i searched this song i just read that on wiki like 1 min ago

  • i just did the same thing

  • Paddy Reilly put this song on the musical map. I think that no matter when or where he has sung this song, it evokes a great deal of emotion and a passionate love and admiration for those Irish who suffer through the tyranny of the many centuries of invasion and subjugation and famine by design. The race was almost annihilated in its homeland and only storytelling like this will make us remember.

  • I really like this version :) It's just as good as Gary Óg's and Johnny Logan's

  • I got my first taste of Paddy's music from the juke box in the old Terminal Bar in the Bronx almost 30 years ago. I've been a fan ever since.

  • god bless you buddy

  • If you are still in NY have you ever made it to Paddy Reilly's bar?

  • Best version ever !!!

Sorry Dubliners, Phil Coulter etc yous

    not stand a chance.

    Paddy rocks

  • Does anybody know where I could find the full version of this performance?

  • lovely song paddy but your pub in new york is crap, managed by an egit

  • definately the best version

  • i'm sorry. but his voice grates upon the nerves. Phil sings it so much better and he wrote it!

  • I disagree, I prefer Paddy or Luke Kelly singin it over Phil; the version on yt where both Phil and Luke Kelly are singin it is my fav. version.

  • I don't know how you can say that. This man has the voice of an angel, it's as clear as a bell, and touches the soul of the listener.
