Johnny is a genius, a very intelligent man, a great singer with great attitude and he doesn't need drugs to have the courage to say what he thinks. Now, in 2011 he is healthy and fine , still doing music. He's just the best and he deserves much more credit.
A great video that conveys perfectly the genuine energy of the Sex Pistols. Probably not one of their most significative pieces but definitively one of my favourites. Powerful and true !

according to Paul Cook, this show was at the time when Sid was determined to learn how to play, before the heroin took over. You can hear him faintly here - not a lot of polish, but he keeps a good bass line going. Actually pretty damn good for someone who probably had never picked up a bass six months before.
calling other really fine musicians in the peak of their creativity, ''boring old farts'' was something that put me off. It still does, when i think of it...
But i feel more tolerant now and i even find the 55 years old mr. Lydon rather amiable and sympathetic...
