From what I can infer from the story (if this parody is similar to the original song), HK and China were running from the other countries, but when they finally attacked, HK was killed and China, fearing his life, ran. Now he has to live with the guilt that he could not save HK because he was afraid of dying

Sometimes, I think that maybe they meant that the girl(or china, in this case) was the one that disappeared. In the Lyrics, it says "your horrified and entreating eyes" and I think that it could also mean that the older sibling was taken/killed but it was written in a way so that it sounded like the older sibling didn't know they were dying/taken away... Still, this is amazing. I love the work in this and good job on continuing even after the file got messed up. :)

This song is about a couple escaping enemy pursuit, but the girl was killed during the escape (in this case, HK was taken away) and the boy intended to commit suicide.

Allies side was in WWI. At that time (and before that) China was invaded by almost all the west European countries：UK first broke in (1840)& took HongKong,then France,Germany, Russia, Japan,Spain...during 1840 to almost 1920.Russia was slightly different because there was a revolution in Russia and they build the communist government. And U know then in WWI Germany almost ruined the whole Europe while Japan ruined whole east Asia and attacked US.

This is beautiful. Wordlessly tells a powerful story with dark, moving artwork. I felt strength radiating from Yao against overwhelming odds. The coloring, the animation, all of it, was crafted so elegantly, and clearly had hard work behind it. That's why HK looks so much older when he came back at the end. Also, China and England had a deal that HK will be returned in 99 years, so England just dropped him off at China's house on the day HK returns. Does that clear things up?
